It is right to give Him thanks and praise in every situation.

While we don’t have to give thanks FOR everything, we are to give thanks IN everything, for that is the will of God, in Christ Jesus, concerning us (I Thessalonians 5:18). When a believer praises God no matter the circumstances, he/she proves their knowledge that God is in control, and whatever comes to us has been filtered through Him first, and that He can work all things for our good. God turns ashes into beauty, a mess into a ministry, and tragedy into a testimony. God is worthy to be praised, and circumstances do not affect that. Circumstances are temporary; He (and all that He is) is eternal. Praising God may not change our circumstance instantly, but it will absolutely change our perspective and infuse us with endurance. Thanks for the teaching, Dr. G.

We are to sincerely praise God no matter the circumstances. It is important to understand the true meaning of Paul’s exhortation to “give thanks in everything. He didn't say be thankful FOR the situation. He said be thankful IN the situation! In other words, make Him bigger than the situation. Trust Him. Trust His love for us.
"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." (I Thessalonians 5:18 ESV) You don't have to be thankful for the experience. Instead, give thanks for what God is doing in you, and what He will ultimately do through you, because of the experience.
It's a faith walk and we don't walk it alone. As a child of God, you have the Holy Spirit in you, leading and guiding you, each step of the way.
"But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor-Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you. Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]" " (John 14:26-27 AMP)
No matter what challenges we face, we have the gift of the Holy Spirit, we have access to peace, God's peace, in the midst of everything that comes our way, and we are not alone. We can give thanks because we know God is in control. And we can give thanks because:
“And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.” (Romans 8:28 AMP)
Ultimately, it must all work out for our good and God’s glory. Give thanks!
    Be Encouraged!
