We must be on guard against claiming to believe in God while acting as if He does not exist. It is important for all of us who profess to believe in God and Jesus Christ to, at some point, test the reality of our faith. It’s easy to say we believe, however, do our actions, how we live, reflect the faith we profess? In other words, would anyone recognize us as believers or as people of faith?
Our faith isn’t something we pick up on Sunday’s for church and put away when we get home. Our faith is a way of life and governs our lives. It’s easy to believe when everything is going good and we can tangibly see, and feel, God’s blessings in our lives. What happens when He’s silent, you lose your job, your finances are on empty, your children or spouse are acting crazy, and all of the other challenges we can face in life? Does your faith sustain you, or do you begin to doubt God or His very existence? We must test our faith in the good times and in the bad times. Do we look the same? Do we talk the same? Can we give thanks no matter what is going on in our lives?
When the storm comes isn’t the time to see if you have everything you need. It’s during the quiet times of life that you build your faith, securely anchoring it in Him, so you’re ready for the storms! When it’s raining is not the time to build an ark! It’s only through establishing and maintaining an intimate relationship with Him by spending time in His Presence and in His Word. There are no shortcuts! Our relationship with the Lord must be intentional.
    Be Encouraged!

We must be on guard against claiming to believe in God while acting as if He does not exist. Personally, I feel so strongly about this. There are too many Christians who live almost like atheists, and what a shame. Some claim to be a Christian yet reflect nothing of the image of God. Others are Christians, and even talk about matters of faith, yet when difficult times come, they cave, as if the Word means nothing and God’s Hands are tied. It’s a matter of relationship, but it’s also a matter of heart. It’s important that we do a faith heart check, and do it regularly. Do we just believe in God, or do we believe Him? Do we just read the Word, or do we believe it and receive it as the foundation of our faith? Good questions to prayerfully ask, inviting the Holy Spirit to help us get real in our faith walk. Thanks for the teaching, Dr. G.

I bind every unbelieving heart to the pit of hell, loosening the word of psalm 14:1-2 in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!

Why would you 'bind' their hearts to hell? We are suppose to pray that they will come to a full knowledge of Jesus Christ, place their faith in Him, and live for Him.

Paul in Romans 3:23 is apparently quoting Psalm 14 and/or Psalm 53.
It would be pretty safe to say this because they are so very similar.
It is foolishness, even dangerous and arrogant to say that I know what anyone in the Bible was thinking. I can't know what they were thinking. I only know what the author revealed in his writings.
Only God knows the thoughts of men and women. I may guess which is again foolish, but I will in truth never know. Why guess or speculate at what has not been revealed by God through His Word? Who am I trying to glorify?
In humility we exegete scripture, pointing people towards Christ by and through the power of His Word And what He has sovereignly reavealed for us to know. Deut 29:29.

Psalms 53 and 14 are not about atheists. Read psalm 10 and see that the 'fool' in these psalms is the one who says "god will do nothing to stop me. There will be no consequences to my actions".
Atheism wasn't even a thing in David's time.
