Enjoyed this conversation. It'll be great to have some sisters join the conversation at times. We're in the mix too 😎

“Serve and Soak” is our church policy that we adopted from Jesus. He continually got away from crowds to be alone with The Father and commanded His disciples to “come away with me to be alone with The Father”. Soaking is equally as important as serving.

A decade before I learned the concept of soaking. Had no idea that this could be a way of praying.
But there comes some things back, as 24/7 prayer and worship, what was introduced by king David or the use of the Shofar, I would call it the Joshua Trombone or Horn.

@@lukejackson1116 There are so many ways to adjust the tone and response and one rule is, the more reflection in the room, the higher the pitch.

I think a person should be focused and centered on God before you utilize the gifts that God gave you, especially in a leadership role. The given is that the whole purpose of why we are doing worship ministry is to reach the lost and once saved, keep them encourage to grow and sustain their walk in Christ.

      That's the way Jesus did.
Some churches loves excellence so much, are too fast to put new born Christians into a ministry.
I remember the time, where the biggest worries were, that Christians could be too lazy.
This caused the effect, that Christians began to serve, like Martha did, instead sitting to the feet of Jesus, as Mary did.
Other effects were, that the definition "I'm God's child" was replaced by "I'm a servant" or that we are too much concerned.
I compare it with a Mother who bakes with the little children some cookies. She could do it more effectively alone, the part of the child isn't really helping, but the goal is, that the child is involved, spends time with Mother.
When I'm aware, that God wants to meet people and allows me to come with him, I never over- or underestimate my part.
Another thing I learned, how Evangelization can be. I knew the old fashioned way, singing Christian advertising songs, giving a sermon and hoping, people won't be scared from Christian jargon.
It was new, to heal people, to share a prophetic word and impress people this way and to do worship music instead musical sermons.
