The algorithm knows you're broke as fuck, so it's teaching you how to break into people's locked up valuables. If they wanted to keep it safe they should've used a better lock (and have an alarm and/or gun on hand).

Honestly, I’d love to read a story where the main premise is a PC gamer deciding, “Ight, I do a little locksmithing”, maybe a season, maybe an arc, maybe the whole thing. You might have to add stuff to flesh it out, like “PC gamer decides “I’m gonna be a locksmith”, but…”
I love how these multi-million dollar security companies make these super advanced locks and this guy just says "no" and removes all security from any lock they make
I'm making a guess here, I think because of imperfections in manufacturing of the lock, you can only set pins one at a time in an order that is unique to each lock, because their alignments vary slightly which allows for the tension trick to prevent the set pins from falling back down
Depends on the lock the number of pins and the kinds of key pins or driver pins. Each individual lock will have its own binding order it could be 1 the first time it could be 6 on another lock etc Standard pin or security pin will have a random binding order
@@MaximilianonMars Your guess was spot on. If the imperfection of the lock is perfect, you might have that serrated pin as a last one to pick. But that would be too beautiful :D
When i get tired of watching sad moments of rdr2. I need to purge that sadness with some comedy or do it yourself like this here. So thank you for making these easy to understand vids.
Honestly, I don't know how much more clear cut and demonstrable your skills and knowledge could be than _literally showing the inside of the lock as you pick it, and yet there are _still_ people out there who think your quick picks are fake. 😂
I'd never even used a top of the keyway tensioner until I bought this 80 dollar sparrows kit. Always used a "twisty Turney" tool. I thought those were the standard.
Hahahahaha, i made myself a lockpics set from those a few years ago. Perfect steel! :) And for more rigid ones i made them from a coathanger wire. When you hammer it down slowly to the thickness you desire (cold hammering), they become harder. The rest is up to a nice file work again.
*I've found some of Petersons high reach hooks are great for picking serrated and spools not to mention they are great for people that like to do that 1-5-1-5-1-5 cuts* *Strange how some folks actually pin their locks like that*
Hey McNally! Been watching your vids for a while, actually messaged you about how I became a professional locksmith thanks to your videos and you messaged back which was pretty cool. Anyways I’d love to see you use the grim workshop lockpick card because it’s challenging!
Key pins, and probably because it's much more complex and wouldn't make much difference since the key pin going over the shear line means it's been over set and that's something you can feel through the pick
@McNallyOfficial I am trying to get one of those see-through and customizable locks. What do you call them and where do you get them? Also trying to get my hands on a pin tray and a vice(?). Already got tons of locks and lockpicks. Currently a white belt in lockpicking Reddit community. Thanks in advance.
So could someone make locks with pins that don't stay lifted? That way you'd be forced to figure out how to lift them all at once (like with a key) rather than being able to do one at a time?
Hey I like wooden and metal puzzles have have A LOT. I've been thinking of learning to do lockpick and was wondering where I could get a starter kit and transparent locks or something like you have there where you can see the inner workings to learn?
Covert instruments have a practice set. I can only tell you that i bought a cheap transparent padlock from the internet and it is made from a carrot (as we say in my country). But the price was so low, that i'm not afraid to damage it and it also gives you a possibility to lockpick some shitty locks too :D
Was that a windshield wiper insert for the "twisty turny tool" I prefer that more than legit turning tools. Plus you can grab 'em out of the outside trash can at any auto parts store.
Theoretically couldnt you make a super pick resistant lock by making the serrated part long enough to where a standard lock pick set wouldnt work and you need to engineer a solution?
Wait I have a question, and please don't judge me I don't know much about locks but, why don't they just make one pins thinner or thicker so that they would not set?
Lock picking skill increased: level 1
Have you watched this guy? Hes restarted and releveled up back to lp 100 183 times

For no reason CZcams is teaching me to break locks. I am confused.
Pick locks, not break them
yt is reminding u that u r poor and u should try robbing

Useful skill, though not one I've yet developed
CZcams knows you must be prepared for what is to come....
Half expecting an oblivion gaurd to stop me from lock picking
STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUUM!!!!!!!
pretty sure the game pauses when you start picking
Oblivion and Mafia II have the best lockpicking mini games.
STOP! You've violated the law! Pay the court a fine or serve your sentence!
I wonder if you could pick a lock faster than Lock Picking Lawyer?
Not everyone that knows how to pick a lock is an expert. There is a difference between someone who does that as a hobby and someone who does that for a living.
Usually you can lockpick a masterlock by slamming a rock against it, I’d say that’s pretty fast
SMH. So you've never held a lock pick in your life then.
@@blindbrailleable i know you're not talking to me right? LOL

Well, you can just imitate the key with a picture and a 3d printer, or some basic bits of metal
Also, mass production.
he must be a veteran oblivion player
Just because what this man can do with a speed square he's my hero.
McNelly, you are simply the " MASTER " of licks . No pun intended.🤣😋👍🌞😂👀😁🙄
This video made me want to go play AC Unity and pick locks as Arno.
Question: you defeat a lot of locks and I love watching it. What is the hardest type of lock that you can get (within a reasonable price)?
Solid metal frame and door welded shut. Nobody's picking that.
Bros literally has 100 level in lockpicking skill, and I'm pretty sure he's a perfect thief
So, if you encounter a special pin you chould always skip that one, do the rest first. And then do that pin, right? Or am I missing something.
You might find several special ones in a single lock.
youd still have to come back eventually. also if you mess up after doing everything else you lose all your progress

you taught me about how locks work. thank you.
twisty turny lol, its called "Twist Flex wrench" nicely explained
So, what if you replaced all of the pins with spool/serrated pins, would that increase security?

I feel educated. Thanks man.
This is so cool
Thnx for the short lessons!
This made me want to get into lock picking
Holy fuck he’s actually giving this lock enough respect to pick it. I have found the promise land!
You should go for a world record on lock picking
That second lock thing. Whatever it's called. I think my my lock is all of them
I’ve been making my own from the flat metal strips from old wiper blades and practicing with them tho I think it’s time to upgrade
Yo can you pick lever locks, just curious
What if they alternate between spooled and serated
You should do viro and tri circle and union locks
The world is free!
TOK tension is where it’s at
After a week that1 minute 10 sec just popped now 😂
I was waiting for him to bring out his spare tool the master lock 😅
How his style has changed since this video.
Finally I understand what is click on 1, false set on 2 etc...
IDK why you don't just jam a rake in there and magically have it open. Upsetting.
I've got multiple twisty tools!
Yeey part 3 !
Seems like you'd just want serrated pins on every chamber. 🤔
It's good in emergency or being kidnapped people can save their life
thanks! I can finally rob a house now
Thief simulator be like
Ah so that’s where the minute and 10 seconds went
this guy can unlock any lock of the world..

Thanks dude I broke into 50 houses in one week. You're the best
We’re the bio
Wow. Wow wow wow wow wow
I thought the "since I have another minute and ten sec-" in the last short was a joke
Wait. You want me to pick locks too? Nah
Why aren't the lower pins (don't remember if it had it's own name) also serated, I'd imagine that would make it way harder
Key pins, and probably because it's much more complex and wouldn't make much difference since the key pin going over the shear line means it's been over set and that's something you can feel through the pick
My next Skyrim playthrough is going to be lit
I’ve now completed the trilogy over 3 days! 😂😂😂
You should create your own lock? I would buy one.
would using serated driver pins be an effective security measure?
ur explainations r proper, perfect. thk u
WHAT IS THAT PRACTICE LOCK? WHERE DO YOU BUY IT?
Excellent video
This knowledge feels illegal to know
Basically all locks are pickable, you just need something to break it with 😁
How do they fare against guns? Does rapid slapping reduce their effectiveness?
random but do you have advice for a lock that i can unlock easily but struggle to lock for some reason? i can’t replace the lock in a dorm room
I wish i could last a minute and ten seconds

Can you pick a car ignition?

so, why dont they make every pin a security pin?

How common are these types of security pins in standard house locks?
