KSRTC Karnataka The Ambari Utsav buses are Volvo 9600 Sleeper Coaches that come with a special Scandinavian design. The windows of these buses are designed in a way that the passenger can experience the panoramic views from the bus. Each bus includes 40 sleeping berths for passengers.With a gross weight of 22200 kg and 15000 mm of overall length, Volvo 9600 15m bus is ideal for applications like intercity, tourist. Powertrain behind this Volvo bus is 10800 cc 6 cylinder Volvo D8K6300, Common rail direct injection engine. It is powered by diesel fuel and produces a maximum power of 350 HP. Doing the transmission duty in Volvo 9600 15m bus is 12 speed (12F+4R), Automatic gears gearbox. chassis offers a wheelbase of . Talking about the seating space, Volvo 9600 15m bus comes in 2x2 seating layout. Volvo 9600 15m bus has single piece, toughened type side windows. independent air suspension, electronically controlled in front and air suspension in rear offers superior ride comfort to the passengers of this beautifully looking Volvo bus. For driver and passenger safety, Full-Air Disc Brakes, Electronic Braking System (Ebs), Electronic Stability Program (Esp) take care of this aspect in Volvo 9600 15m bus. It competes with other vehicles in the segment like Volvo 9400 13.8M Bus and Volvo 9400 14.5M Bus .
Each berth comes with ample head room, 2 USB ports, air vents, reading lights and a mobile holder. The drivers of these buses will also enjoy features like Knee Impact Protection Technology which absorbs the impact and enhances the drivers’ safety under severe circumstances

Initially, the buses will operate between Bengaluru-Hyderabad, Bengaluru-Ernakulam, Mangaluru-Pune, Bengaluru-Kundapur, Bengaluru-Thiruvananthapuram, Bengaluru-Thrissur and Bengaluru-Panaji.
Travelling in the latest Ambari Utsav buses will cost passengers 10% more than the current Ambari Dream Class segment in KSRTC bus services. They can book tickets through the KSRTC website.
In the first phase, a total of 50 buses will get into operations and from Bengaluru Central, the buses will go to Ernakulam, Hyderabad, Panaji, Thrissur and Thiruvananthapuram. From Mangaluru division, the buses will head towards Pune from Mangaluru and to Bengaluru from Kundapura.
