I know the sign is meant to slow down drivers, but my immediate thought was “caution there are blind people here and they are dangerous”

Excellent. Thank you. I didn’t imagine some of these solutions. Usually I associate assistive devices with high prices. Colored masking tape and the talking door identifier!

Phosphorescent paint will glow for a few minutes after switching off the lights. Maybe a dab on light switch, just in case you just got in bed but need to locate the light switch or eyeglass case.

You should show a toddler cane. The kind that attaches around the waist.

My favourite tool is my guide dog, then comes the white cane with rolling sinterceramic cane tip, after that comes VoiceOver and seeing ai and the last is the silikonemap with holes at the places of the touch fields of not taktile touch cooking place.

Do the tapes have different textures? Or is there braille on the inside of the middle?

Not these ones, but tapes with textures on them do exist

How does a blind person pick up the service dogs poo in the backyard or while out on a walk? I imagine trial and error can get a little messy
