Cross (Glass & Resin Art Tutorial)

I am using a 6x12 canvas to create a glass cross art piece! The background is painted with a pearl-colored paint and then I am creating my cross out of glass strips and crushed glass. I can't find any strips or sheets near me unless i want to pay 80-100 dollars! Ive been to 3 HobbyLobbys and hey said they don't carry them! any other suggestions?
