    Just ordered the SL1’s . I think it was a great choice . I do pay way more as a Canadian but results are very clear . Great Video ! Thanks !!

    Tried many including OPT7, VLED, DDM, and now DD seems to be my choice. Only thing is they are back ordered on many popular sizes but made in the US and great customer service. DD #1 and OPT7 #2 for me. H11's and 9005's

    Thanks for the video. I haven't installed my VLED evolution bulbs yet. Will probably return them since my yukon is a pain to change bulbs out. Only want to do it once.

    I was on the fence between DD SL1 and GTR Ulta 2.0 Leds. And the GTR Ultra 2.0 Leds blow the other way in every way. Best LED setup out there. $250 with anti flicker but worth every penny and a lifetime warranty. You get what you pay for..

    Can you test the 2stroke 2.0 D2S in a projector vs a hid bulb? I wanna see how far they've come since your last comparison video.

      @@daaneel how do you like them so far ? Do they dim dramatically after 20 minutes of operation?

    • @daaneel
      @daaneel Před 3 lety

      Miguel Angel Medina Rise I returned them. I did not like them at all. They were very bright, but the light was not focused at the right spot. It would light up the front of my car very bright, but not 200-300ft away. Gave me a headache when I was driving. Because my eyes would look at the traffic ahead but would be distracted by the very bright spot in front of my car. You want LED lights that mimic the pattern of a halogen as best as possible. I think the diode dynamics would be the best option

    HID’s (oem quality) still flatly trounce any LED on the market. Don’t care who makes it. This is a fact. Eventually might be a thing if the past. Simply don’t understand why (if you have a projector stock) anyone would even consider a LED...
    For turn signals, yes they are much better vs stock. I use VLED for turns and they are phenomenal output wise. Great American company. The switchbacks are second to none. I’d say VLED or Diode Dynamics for LED’s. Just my experience

    • @LightwerkzGlobal
      @LightwerkzGlobal  Před 4 lety +1

      The key reasons for using LED instead of rebased HID inside a projector are: instant on light vs HID warm up times, pure modern day 6000K color vs various hues of greens, blues, yellows, etc, Low or No risk of burning up projector bowls vs eventually burning up projector bowls using HID bulbs due to additional heat and UV damage. The current top LED bulbs are VERY close to HID performance levels. But youre correct - HID will most likely always be brighter. LED bulbs are finally a viable choice in todays offerings.

    While I will say that your test seemed to show that the DD SL-1 slam-dunked all of the other bulbs you tested, the results were rather inconclusive. Why? When you install a new light in your vehicle, you don't get to move the light socket around to get the "best"/"strongest" output you can find; if you had mounted the lamp socked and AIMED it with the original bulb in it and then placed each of the LED bulbs into it, you test would have been right on -- as it was, as it was done the only thing proven was that the DD SL-1 put out the most lumens.
    Not to say it was a "bad" test, but just not conclusive.

    • @diesel6916
      @diesel6916 Před 5 lety

      you can clock DD LED's

    • @michaelackerman6236
      @michaelackerman6236 Před 5 lety

      @@diesel6916 by "clock", do you mean "rotate"? If so, I did that with the SL1's I put in my 2015 Ram 1500.
      My comments were about HOW the test was conducted and had nothing to do with ANY of the LED's tested. The test was inconclusive because nothing could be EXACTLY repeated EXCEPT measuring the maximum output of each LED - and then even that is open to error because the distance to the meter was never exactly set.

      Umm... ever heard of headlight adjustment? You CAN move the light around, putting the hotspot where you need it on the road. Also, the LEDs are placed in the exact location as the halogen filament so the light will cast to the same locations as well. Therefore, unless your headlights are off adjustment, the hotspot will be on location after the new bulb install.
