    I've gotta admit, I'm a bit surprised to not see simic ascendancy in the upgrades. With all the fractal tokens, doublers, and counter subtheme, I thought it'd be a nice backup wincon.

      It's in the article / links. This video was made before I made one last swap.

    Happy you guys got arguably the best precon to show off!

    2 cards that NEED to be in this deck and cost only $5 between the 2 is Champion of Lambholt and Herald of Secret Streams. Unblockable to essentially your entire board is a game winner.

    Thanks Tomer, I'm glad that you've kept doing these! I always look to your upgrades first when I find a commander or precon I'm interested in.

    Thanks for the tips!!! Absolutely excited to try this deck out

    If it hadn't spiked super hard I would recommend 'the Fable of Wolf and Owl' it's now like $17 or something but it seems pretty good in an Adrix and Nev deck.

    • @sofer2230
      @sofer2230 Před 3 lety +1

      Seriously? Did it only spike because of this deck? It's not even *that* good.

    • @MTGGoldfishCommander
      @MTGGoldfishCommander  Před 3 lety +7

      It's fine but not great. Definitely not worth $17.

    • @solarraine4902
      @solarraine4902 Před 3 lety +1

      @@sofer2230 probably. I bought it on sunday because I love the art and have wanted to find a place to put the card for awhile and this deck seems like a nice place for it. But yeah, it spiked literally the day this deck was revealed

    Great upgrade guide. I built a list online as soon as the card Adrix and Nev was spoiled, before the commander itself, and it was great to see that most of the upgrade choices you proposed were already in my list.

  • @damonbreuklander2155
    @damonbreuklander2155 Před 2 lety

    I'm surprised I haven't found a list yet that recommends Arcane Artisan. 3 drop pay three, and tap it. Make yourself draw a card, and you exile a card if it's a creature you make a token that's a copy of it. With Adrix and Nev out, not only do you pay just 3 to get an Avengar of Zendikar out, you pay just 3 for 2 of them. Casting Mulldrifter with her too is basically 2 Mulldrifters for the mana cost of 1 evoked Mulldrifter.

    As usual, awesome upgrade and recommendations! Here I am checking daily the channel to see if we have the Witherbloom upgrade too! Thanks for all the effort you put on this, highly appreciated 😁👌🏻

    Koma is nuts in this deck. makes 2 serpents with the front commander out - every upkeep. Also great synergy with that kraken dude that can make a 9/9 when a serpent gets through

    My upgrade guide: anything that makes tokens

  • @jeroenvaneekeren
    @jeroenvaneekeren Před 3 lety

    Surprised by removing Curse of the Swine. Very versatile card, especially in this deck. Exiles, can be an early targeted removal or a mid/late semi-wipe. And even, with some extra mana to spend, you could target one of your own tokens to get 2 Boars back.

  • @stagnantlasagna
    @stagnantlasagna Před 3 lety +1

    I bought this deck and straight out of the box with no upgrades I was able to beat my friend's 460 dollar Angel deck. I can't wait til I save up enough to upgrade it heavily

    • @damonbreuklander2155
      @damonbreuklander2155 Před 2 lety

      My first match with this out the box I kicked rite of replication with Adrix out, on a Biomathmetician. So I got 10 Biomathmetician etb effects, and thus got 20 fractal tokens with 10 1+/1+ counters on them.

  • @giovannibss10
    @giovannibss10 Před 3 lety

    I think esika's Chariot is actually a good fit for the deck, worst case scenario is 4 mana for 4 2/2 which isnt bad at all, then you can clone one of your giant token producers leter in the game and really go off with it, same goes for quasiduplicate, if you quasiduplicate lets say a evolution sage things can get very messy, so even if you cant clone fractals I still think there are plenty of other targets you could use them on

  • @JonathanHecht
    @JonathanHecht Před 3 lety

    im actually buying this precon to build around the alternative commander esix so i guess that will require a whole different video

  • @weeniebagel5100
    @weeniebagel5100 Před 3 lety +1

    I disagree with swapping out ruxa. you said she was a poor graveyard recursion card, but ignore the fact she makes essentially all your tokens unblockable. whats better than an army of giant beaters? ones the opponent cant block!

    • @MTGGoldfishCommander
      @MTGGoldfishCommander  Před 3 lety +2

      Ruxa doesn't make your tokens unblockable, just that you can assign damage as if they weren't blocked. That means they can still die in combat to blockers, making it much worse.

    • @Ahab1765
      @Ahab1765 Před 2 lety

      Also if you have 256 tokens, you dont need them to be unblockable.

  • @bamjo9
    @bamjo9 Před 3 lety +2

    I really don't like this deck. It's way too unfocus. I wish they would have gone with either fractals, or Token sinergy. And I wish there was at least one of between parallel lives and doubling season.

  • @macces82
    @macces82 Před 2 lety

    If I were to add Doubling Season and Parallel Lives to the Upgrade Deck, which cards should I remove for the two?

  • @yellowsquashbanana
    @yellowsquashbanana Před 3 lety

    I know Adrix and Nev are better, but Esix is fractal. Thus I kinda want to use it.

  • @bamjo9
    @bamjo9 Před 3 lety

    Serious question: Since Adrix is a replacement effect, do tokens created by something like Mimic Vat, not exile themselves at the end of the turn? (something like teferi's ageless insight with sylvan library)

    • @CodenameJD

    How is desolation twin significantly less mana than body of research? Twins has a mana value of 10 and body of knowledge is 6. While also being potentially larger than desolation twin majority of the time.

    I recommend fixing the deck name in the video title/description, if only so more people can find your video when looking it up on CZcams. You know you need all the help you can get when fighting the algorithm.
