4:40 per mile is a 2:53 p/km pace for the rest of the world watching
And eluid kipchogi ran 2:50 per km for straight 42kms ... How is that ?
THE EXPOSURE He is incredibly good, I’d argue the best ever at marathon running
@@pingu8900 agreed
@@Life_less_ordinary Really good, but also this was a tempo run, not a race pace or anything. He should be able to maintain that pace for quite a while, though not 42km.
@@pingu8900 so true
Do workout weeks with other runners. Love watching the progression and different workouts
WK wielrennen
Ki
"I'm a little quick?" Ches asks as he continues to pull away from the man on a bicycle
At first I was "4:50? Yeah that's around the same level I train at too, maybe I can get a few tips" then a few minutes into the video I realized that they are running miles, not kilometers lol
yeah ! fastest mile for me was 7:48, been running 3 months now and its incredible how these guys run so fast
Fastest mile for me is 5:32
same lol
@@gabe2508 mile or 1500m?
Same 😂
Wow, you guys have stepped your game up. Finally a channel that’s highlighting track in depth. Thanks
Total Running Productions VS Flotrack: Race to 500k
watching this makes me wanna stop playing soccer and run long distance lol
Ben Sammons
i did exactly that . and i love it
Yeah seriously, so many of my friends do this and it's amazing :) give it a shot!
I am the same. Only half marathons but I played soccer for 22 years straight
The best distance girls at my school are also club soccer players haha. Soccer players are THE BEST at distance, hands down.
@@luciasimone7352 tbh distance runners are the best at distance running
He crushed everyone at the meets in high school, we all had theories that he was thirty
Guy on bike: sweatin' today huh?
runner: it's hot
guy on bike: it's hot
ffs he's running 4:50 miles
lmao fr though 😂
Where was there a 450mile 440 and 429
😂😂😂🤣🤣
I was running a 5:45 in middle school -- coach put me into 100m 200m -- I should have focused 800m 1600m
He doesn’t even look like he’s running fast.. And he still hits a 4:44.. wtf
Nice and easy haha
Jo Nathan Ikr?
4:50 to 5:05ish is marathon pace for guys like him. It's crazy, but this was an easy coming back from injury workout!
Jo Nathan and the weather is hot too as you hear him say in the beginning! Imagine how much faster he could run in a race on a cold day in perfect conditions!
Dude literally ran that pace on a hot day god damn.
John G lol no doubt, I think I need to start training with professional athletes lol! If any are reading this, please let me! Lol
This is a great, great video. You guys are revolutionizing training videos, and providing great details from the coaching to the running. Keep it up.
During this workout, I counted his stride rate is 184 steps per minute.
Too muchh freee timee 😁
188-189 for me!
Let both of you decide who is correct😂
That seems unnecessary but great job!
@@bradycurtis668 it's actually not unnecessary...!
Eluid kipchogi ran 4:34 pace for 26 miles straight which makes 2:50 pace per kilometer .
Ok
“Felt good, not fast, not slow, just medium” 4:44 pace 🙄
Kyle Nussbaum yes for elite athletes it’s so easy
Kyle Nussbaum yes for elite athletes it’s so easy
For beginners its hard
The Not Just Basketball lol I can’t even get close to that 😂 he’d lap me 2 times
I ran against him in high school. He finished five kilometers over a minute ahead of everyone else
Years of dedication, its gonna look like this amazing job.
Crazy, this guy pretty much runs a 14 min 5k AS TRAINING. 😱
Miguel Ramirez fwiw 5k is 3.1 mi so he did slightly less
Sidney LeVine still faster than 99.999% of high school cross country runners lmao
@@relaxingsounds7782 no shit their in high school
@@relaxingsounds7782 I'd say faster than 90% not 99.999% lol, a lot of D1 runners can do 14:30-14:40 for 3 miles on a cross country course which is about 14:10-14:20 or faster on a flat course. Cheserek did 14:15 on a flat road course. Of course if Cheserek tried, he'd probably get a faster time than any other high school runner but 14:15 isn't too special for high school runners, especially for a flat course. Phillip Rocha did 13:57 on a pretty flat XC course, Nico Young got 13:39 on a pretty flat XC course, Drew Hunter did 14:20 for a 5K, Cole Sprout did 14:16 for a 5K, you get my point.
Krypto yeah and do you not realize those guys you just listed are in the .01% of high school runners lol. I did over exaggerate the 99.99% but you should get my point. I’d say 97%
would love to see HRs during these workouts. oh well.
Keep doing these with everyone! Follow them for a whole week and document there week
Thank you for the extended footage!!
Absolutely awesome series! Great job FloTrack
this series of videos was great. excellent footage.
Thank you FloTrack!!! is videos have been great!! Even if you had a few ad's they are worth it!! Better than having FloTrack Pro
Did anyone else realize at the start of the 2 mile his coach says ok quarter mile now a little quick and the timer on the screen says like 20 seconds 😂
He said quarter as in a quarter of a 400, so I think it was a 100
I don’t think the vide and the time were lined up
He also said he ran a second mile and the time was like 7:30 I think the time isn't synced right
This is so inspiring! Such a beautiful form and style! I want to run like that 💕
I would love to have the kind of support this coach is giving
This really dope guys keep it up
This looks so smooth!! Great workout, great inspiration!!
And yeh... I know this lower back pain too 😩
I'd hand with him for the first 300 or so meters, then I'd pass out. This man is superhuman
Jordan Shaw same
Jordan Shaw not even an 800m? Bro you’re out of shape! If. You’re a distance runner You should be able to run at least 1 mile at that pace lol.
@@TwinSquidzLLC that's a pretty fast Mile. Most people can't hit that.
Well, he's close to Superman, but not Superman. Eliud Kipchoge earns that title when he averaged 4:38 per mile for the Berlin Marathon. He broke the marathon record.
Joey Thompson and most people don’t work out often, however distance runners who train properly at the right age can definitely run 1 mile under 5 min. It’s nothing special for athletes but yes I agree for the average joe it sure is very fast!
I’d say low to mid 4s is impossible without genetic talent but 4:45 can be achieved if trained properly. For a marathon? Never! But just one mile at that pace? It can be done for a lot of people. First develop the speed to run 4:45 then work on speed endurance to maintain it for a mile.
So pumped ,aiming for marathon under 4hours when 60 yrs ,7 years to go 12 miles 1 hr 53 ,comfortably,it’s great having energy ,I really enjoy running ,started to be able to keep going when tired ,it’s great fun ,chest pump feel wonderful
He's strong and fast. Love him watching running the marathon side by side with the elites.
Absolute thing of beauty to watch. Hypnotic to watch, so graceful and natural looking.
Watch any of Cheserek's training videos whenever you I feel a little tired to go out for runs, you will get inspired.
I just love what am seeing. This is just what am dreaming of each day I wake-up.
love this, definitely the content i crave
wish they had a credits section for the songs! i love the soundtracks!
"Nice and easy" 4:44 pace
4:44 For elite runners like Edward is pretty slow, not too slow but it's a tempo run for them.
watching this guy is mesmerising
Great series of videos !
This honestly looks like the best day for a run
Please do more of these
I like this series
Amazing and in-depth training breakdown of one of the most talented athletes of our time. Incredible job, FloTrack!
Also, am I crazy, or does this coach sound a heck of a lot like John Krasinski?
....Does John Krasinski secretly double as a running coach?
“Stay nice and chill this last 1/2 mile...at this sub 5minute mile pace...”
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you for this. Good stuff. I'd be interested to see what Cheresek ate throughout this week.
His running form is beautiful
Astonishing athlete, only 24 and he ran a few months ago, the second fastest mile indoor!! Just a second away from Hicham ElGarouj unbelievable world record!!! This guy could break world records soon if he keep it up like this!!!
he is super excited man.keep it up man. i like it.
I don't know what it is about this particular training video, but i keep watching it, lol. It's soothing. Maybe smooth running, chilled background music, and a cool coach?
Absolutely awesome 👏
I'm really loving this serie! Congratulations for the video, FloTrack! I would like to know the music names. Can you tell me?
Crazy how consistent he was time wise
i love watching this
Awesome coach riding the whole way with him
What an incredible specimen!!!
I would like to see what he eats
Grahamuel beas berem or red rice
He eats white runners for breakfast...
@@vladiinsky Damn! That was RACIST! LOL
vladiinsky so you just automatically assume the black guy is a cannibal? Just because he's black doesn't mean he's from Africa.
@@Ed-tc2pg loool
Running with a bike next to you is awesome! Cycling with a runner next to you is awesome too!
Parabéns excelente trabalho.
He said "your at 4:40 back off a little bit" for the first mile ...😂 ayy yaaa yaiii
Love the ambient background tunes in this vid
Afterlude: This week of training was filmed prior to the 2018 2-Mile Prefontaine Classic. Cheserek was recovering from his injury plagued senior year at Oregon and about to make his pro debut. He finished 15th at 8:31, the winner, an 18 year old Ethiopian named Barega ran an 8:20.
this is gold. I can never reach that good, economical form.
Sawizzard Well anyone can if they dedicate themselves to training
To me this dude is super quick! Impressive!
Warkout is a very nice and warm up to you as well but it was great
Great trainer, and very fast runner
Красава ,всегда восхищался достижениями в спорте темнокожих братьев 👍
17:10 'I'm in OKAY shape right now' true Kenyan... 😂
Looks like Ed is a fan of the Polar 430 as well, I see Gwen Jorgensen wears one as well. I'm thinking about getting off the Garmin train and going back to Polar.
dont get off the garmin train. polar sucks. they SUCK. pro's wear garmin, this dude only wears it cuz he got it for free. they look bad. its like having a brick on you hand
c est une vidéo motivante j aime bien courir dans la nature
He is a machine
Hi im athlete from PHI Supportive .. to this channel
This is awesome!!!!!
I really like this videos! great! But - where is day six and seven ;) ?
That looks like a fun workout
That's dope man, real smooth rhythm. Hi, I'm new to the channel.
incredible athlete
All the comments about the pace-- sure that's respectable, but he's doing this at about 7,000 feet of elevation in Flagstaff. That's the mind-blowing part. Got to meet King Ches in Eugene Oregon once, very nice guy and such an incredible athlete. Best of luck to him!
dudes a force of nature
William Stanton watch eliud Kipchoge ineos challenge. That's now more like it
Congrats!!! I enjoy so much in this video bcz I ran until now for the year 2020 only, many ultra marathons races register in duv ultra marathons statistics many thousands! miles!! 😊😊and I have to run one more race 100km on December 2020..
