💡💡💡Looking for the perfect device for your smart home automation - simple, but with super powers if and when you want to take it to the next level! 💡💡💡
Small lite is out now. Works on android to add additional input options in the house
Very nice, thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Home Assistant meets Homey. Nice!
Exactly - thats the idea. I think its a really interesting option for somebody starting out - I sent it to a few friends who would not touch home assistant because of the learning curve (fear) and they might give it a try - and I feel confident recommending it since I know home assistant is there if they hit any limitations - thanks for watching!
Really cool, would love to see a smaller form factor option as well
Thank you - its a really nice option! - thanks for watching!
Like the HA, does it require a Raspberry PI, Green hub to work or is the intelligence embeded in each tablet?
Everything is built into the tablet - so NO raspberry PI, or Green needed. - its a nice all in one solution that includes HA - thanks for watching!
This sounds perfect for me, love my smart home but NOT into the hours of trial and error, HA makes one do.
So when you say locally controlled, what exactly does that mean and to you?
If you have a certain device that a company just flat out stops, can one still use and control it?
I ordered one about 5 weeks ago, of course it's a pre order, so I am still researching this and HA, so when it arrives I will be prepared, thanks for sharing!
Exactly what most of my friends say! Locally controlled means you don't need internet at all for things to work - the device and the iSG talk directly to each other no cloud dependency! Thanks for watching!
Does it do voice announcements for example door sensor sends a voice announcement to alexa or google, door open. Or do you use home assistant for that
That's a good question - There is a built-in speaker, but I don't think it can do announcements by itself, but I would imagine you could use home assistant. - thanks for watching.
I have few Smart Wifi switches like Ewelink and smart fans like Dreo App and Govee Lights... can we add them directly using ISG or they need to go via HA?
You can add most zigbee, and wifi devices directly - not sure about the DREO fan, I actually just ordered one and its in the box so I will know soon! But if you can't its easy to add using home assistant, and then just add it to the ISG - after you add it to home assistant, you don't need to touch HA again if you don't want too! - thanks for watching!
@@yoyoTechKnows Thanks alot for your response.. My LinknLink hub is arriving in a week time.. Excited now
Nice content
I'm glad you liked it! 😀 Thanks for watching!
Can you access remotely without subscription?
Yes - there is no cost for remote access! Thanks for watching!
Do you have a new coupon? None are working these days
I just tried with YOYOKNOWS all caps and that seems to work still - give it another try and let me know if you have problems - I will reach out to them! - thanks for watching!

Can you add this device to your existing home assistant instance? As in can I just use it as a hub/control device?
Yes, the last update allowed you to connect to another local instance of home assistant, just like the one running on the device - but I have not had a chance to try this yet - I don't see why it would not work since it's just acting like a bride - so devices added the iSG would be exposed to HA and vise versa! Thanks for watching!
Can you add a zwave dongle
Yup, you can use a USB hub if you like and add as much as you need, even a second ZigBee dongle, one for iSG and one dedicated to home assistant! - thanks for watching!
Just got one and it is stuck in a boot loop, anyone else get this? If so how did you fix it?
I have not had that issue - but try reaching out to support - I have found they are really good. I will see if I can get any suggestions from my contacts for you as well. - good luck, and thanks for watching!
Potential, but paying for promised features is always a concern.
This looks like a sponsored or paid incentive (even a free unit) video without any visual and/or audio statement. This is an FTC no-no and a major question to your credibility - a long term subscriber.
I had to re-watch my own video, and while I don't think I hid it, I did not mention the iSG was sent to me for my review - I have added a note in the video description stating that! Thanks for keeping me honest! - That said the opinions were mine and I was free to say what I wanted - this was not a sponsored video - if someone wants to pay me I would be happy to mark the video as such! :-) - As I said in the video, I probably will not use it myself - but I think its a great option for people looking to get started and not ready for home assistant - I will continue to recommend it! - thanks for watching, and thanks for supporting the channel!
