- A firefighter paramedic accused of fatally stabbing a man and injuring a woman in Pacifica on Thursday morning was dead hours later in Northern California from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.

It's written correctly. Firefighter Paramedic is a title in the medical field. He's trained in both.
I think the title is written that way "to draw you in" to make you want to watch the news story, or the guy who wrote the title needs a different job... You think some valiant firefighter was killed after trying to help some victims...but, nooo that turns out not to be the case.

But he was hired as a firefighter. That tells you all you need to know about the hiring process. So many people enroll in paramedic school or fire academy, but they hired THIS guy. They don't want the best.

Unknown Male and female were stabbed by the off duty firefighter/paramedic. Male died, female has apparently survived.
The stabbing suspect is the one who drive 100 miles north to Ukiah and was pulled over by the CHP, where he took his own life.
Sounds like an obvious domestic violence incident gone wrong.

“Firefighter Paramedic” is an actual title…the person is trained as both and departments hire them with that title.
@@zuessful Other way around. Paramedic is more extensive in pre-hospital care than EMTs. Paramedics also have more training than EMTs. I work with Air Force PJs and Coast Guard ASTs.

@vidaacheampong2563 I'm a firefighter/EMT but at first I was a paramedic,,,paramedics only stabilize,,,I'm out here in california where the EMT's are the life savers,,I'm not sure how it is elsewhere but out here it's the EMT's who are the top shelf guys and gals when it comes to life saving measures,,out here EMT's deal with more advanced medical procedures

It’s very unnerving to know that our firefighters aren’t fired when there are restraining orders against them so scary that man could’ve come to your house in the event of a fire or health emergency. It’s chilling to think that someone capable of that would be helping people in anyway.😢

Sadly there are domestic abusers in law enforcement as well. I used to volunteer at a women & childrens shelter and it was alarming how many were married to officers. To call the police often resulted in a wall of silence among the husband's coworkers. People who deal with trauma all day at work are at an even higher risk in their personal lives. This is the third story I've read this holiday weekand theman does this in front of the kids. Creating more victims.
Yea and women can do harm by cheating in n their husbands but yet you want yo blame men for abuse maybe if women would respect their husbands and not cheat you wouldn’t be able to blame them..
My buddy know the guy who was stabbed. According to him, ex-husband couldn't stand to see his ex-wife sleeping with another man in his former home. Snuck in around 7 am. When CHP pulled him over, he basically point a gun at his head and end it.

Apparently the firefighter came home to find his wife having an affair and stabbed both of them. At least that's the story I'm hearing in Pacifica from locals. In reality it's probably some variation of that.

She blew his money on drugs and booze, screwed guys while he was at work. The judge awarded her full custody of their daughter who was 15 at the time. Most of his paycheck went for child and spousal support. How can he ever move on? He had to get a new loan to buy out ''her'' half of the home's appraised value while she moved in with different boyfriends. He was diagnosed with cancer last June and I think he's giving up.
