What's your Favorite "GOTO Servo? 🤔
CZcams is pointless thing won national championships and multiple dirt nitro challenges and has more technology than any other servo on the market so take your pointless ass comment where it matters or get ya money up so you can afford a $150 servo without complaining.
I think D's RC pretty much summed it up - but everyone has opinions. Maybe I'm offended by your screen name?? 🤣
protek servos are great, but most of my 1/10 scales have hitec 7955tg in them.
@@humblerc841 The 7955tg was my very first upgraded servo I bought - put it in my first Wraith. Great servo!
Protek is an excellent servo which I believe is an Amain product (?) my go to for 1/10th is the Hitec HS7950TH in respective to price point. 1/10th race I use the Reedy RT1408LP which I’m pretty happy with
I have been running this servo in my RC10 buggy for almost 10 months now, it has been 100% perfect. I am a crasher and this servo has not had even a hint of a problem. Great video and great review, Protek is my go to servo brand. they have great prices and they are super durable.
I think protek is my favorite rc brand by far
Very nice servo. Very responsive and tough! I like how they've included different size leads. Great long term review!
Yes, very responsive - and I like the leads, install a different one depending on your application
I love Protek servos 👍 I have 3 170SBL, 170TBL and the 150T. All have been flawless!
This is my third as well - two 170SBL and one 160TBL
Thanks for share my friend, looks very good servo
Thanks buddy!
I've had a protek 370tbl for over 2 years and is still going strong. By far the best servo.
Agreed on that one!
Nice. In love with that DB48. Thanks for share
Thanks buddy! Yes, the DB48 is quite nice - best rock racer I've ever built!
The RCNetwork i will build one one day. BTW I never get tired of your videos. Good job!
@@urayoanmiranda Thanks buddy! Glad to keep making videos....it's nice to stay in touch with everyone!
I am a big fan of the Protek servos, using the 370TBL in 3 of my crawlers. big money but really worth it
Nice! Yes, well worth it to not worry about it, especially in crawlers
It was my dream servo, but instead for $30 less went with the Savox 2292sg Monster Performance (I have the 2290sg too 😎). Here's a look at its speed in my Arrma Notorious
Futaba 7PXR is up for preorder!!!!!
I absolutely love protek servos my go to is the 370tbl
Yep, they're my goto for race RC's
Best servo . Using it in my Mugen Mbx8E
Yep, it's ideal for 1/8th scale buggy!
I like what I see but do they have a budget friendly runner up I can use I'm my old scx10 & ancient ax10 scorpion 😅
🥃cheers🍻
Nice servo. I just ordered the 370tbl for a Kraton EXB. I think this is the one I would get for a race buggy.
Yep, solid choice!
@@TheRCNetwork Have you reviewed any promodeler servo's? I just got one of those as well. DS630BLHV.
Hey mister🚙Great Video 🚙👍🏼
Thanks for stopping by, Daveda!
Greg I have a question that I hope you or someone in the comments can help me with. I just bought a new 1/10 Traxxas Summit from my LHS and since airbrushing bodies is a passion of mine I couldn't wait to get that Proline 73 Bronco body and start making my Summit my own, and just my luck it's been discontinued. They still make the 73 Bronco, but it's only 18.4 inches and says it's just for the Emaxx and Erevo, well I thought bodies that fit the E-Revo and Emaxx would fit the Summit as well or am I wrong? I don't know why Proline keeps discontinuing some of their best bodies. Anyway I ust figured I'd come here before I go wasting money on bodies that won't fit. Thanks.
Hey boss I've been looking at protek servos for my new nitro buggy, tekno nb48.4, was wondering which of the protek servos you would recommend for throttle/brake? New to nitro, lots to look at. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, cheers!
For throttle/brake you don't need the most torque, like you do for your steering servo. The 155S will probably be fine
Servo lasted 2 runs in my Wraith. Electronic issue, gears were fine.
To me this servo is one of the best servo I have ever seen
It really is.
hi, I am looking to upgrade my Losi Tenacity DB Pro, will this work for it (10th scale Buggy) ? thank U
Yep, it should bolt right in.....two things to think about though, spline on the Protek is 25t, and your Losi is likely 23t if it had a Spektrum in it and also BEC voltage...this is a HV servo and will need the BEC on the ESC adjusted to manage it
I would have loved to see inside the servo to see what kind of wear and tear occurred. That would have been great and much needed in this review.
I agree, and will make a note of that
@@TheRCNetwork Without getting inside of these servos, it's tough to tell if any wear-and-tear is happening. Anyone could compare servos from an outside level. And if they still work, then mission accomplished! Surprisingly, despite how popular these servos apparently are, there really isn't too much info on them, let alone comparisons to other brands/models out there. To me, the closest competitor to these servos are the MKS HBL599, which are very pro. I've looked at pictures of the replacement gear sets for both the Protek and the MKS servos, and it does seem that that the MKS has just a bit better looking gears (better fit and finish, better cuts on teeth, etc.). To me this could mean the MKS could be smoother and quieter; I don't know.
Would you run this servo on a bomber, being that I have the metal sterling links? I want to make sure these gears will hold up. Thanks man!
It should do well.....for crawling. if you're bashing, the Bomber is notorious on servos
just curious, why did you go with the 170 instead of the 370 tbl ?
I wanted the speed vs the torque on the 370. The 170 is .08 sec and 535oz/in vs the 370 is .13 sec and 650oz/in. Both great options, but the .13 is slow for a race truck
Are the end point adjustments the same on each side? Mine is off so I can’t use it in my car
The radio will control EPA...... once you zero out all trims on the radio, then you properly center the horn on the servo, finally adjust your EPA
@@TheRCNetwork yeah that doesn’t work like it usually does. It’s always about a half tooth off. It would work great for oval track!
What happened to the DB48? I'd love one. Discontinued? Anything comparable? I can't find any U40 1/10 rc.
LOL you built it.
Lol! Was going to say.....yeah, it was a creation of mine, but has been replicated with other brands like Team Associated, HB Racing, Losi/TLR, etc. But the Tekno was first! The hardest part now is finding the cage....many people have been using the Losi Lasernut cage.
Would this be strong enough for a X maxx?
Yes, should be - but the XMaxx uses a special style of servo.....but I believe there's a mount you can place any servo in and then mount it in the XMaxx
Do you run a bec with this servo ?
Just in the internal BBEC in the Tekin RX8 gen 3 - everything is happy!!
protek makes great servos.
I can't agree more!
Are you selling your old db48 Cage
Gosh no. It's the OG, so hard to part with that one...lots of sweat went into that one
Not a bad servo. I have 2 of them. But I switch to a different servo with the same tourq spec but alot faster than the protek 170s brushless. Half the price at only $80 its buy send it rc servos its a 458 brushless motor servo.
They last forever
