    I put rubber, 3m 2228 2-3 layer with a layer gorilla tape over, never bend a bashguard more. looks nice, mrp nice too

      I’ve had an MRP before as well. Great guards.

    Thanks for reviewing! You didn’t show the installation though, are you able to remove and install your chain without breaking your chain or removing the crank/chainring? It has very tight tolerances I find which is great, but it poses a problem IF you did drop your chain somehow or if you had to remove your chain from the chainring for any reason. Since there are no moving pieces this makes it impossible to install your chain again without breaking your chain and feeding it thru, or removing your crank. Neither are ideal! Thoughts?

    i like the fact they are bump stops than going round the chain
    honestly with most chain guides i've found the chain will get stuck between the guide and the chainring if it falls off, most of the retention seems to be from narrow wide chainrings anyway

      Ya they designed it well. I am finding it does rub a tad in Eagle especially if you have a 52 but it wears grooves overtime

    I got an ethirteen one that specifically had my Pivot Switchblade cleared in the list of bikes they tested it on. No matter which spacer configuration I used it would either rub on the chainguide or the bashguard itself. As a compromize I was offered a 50% refund, and now I just run it bashguard only(simply just remove the chainguide).
    I've just been a bit hesitant to seek any new solutions after that ordeal.
    I have to say that I'm not really sure this thing will be it either.
    #1: Why no adjustment on the mounting holes like everybody else uses given it is not made for one specific bike?
    #2: It looks like you easily will get more chain rubbing noises, which is a no go for me.

    Looks great. Did the cat approve?

      She does. After shooting and setting it down she proceeded to do that cat thing of trying to knock it off the bench😂

    Did this help at all with any chain slap you were experiencing? My transition spire is pretty noisy, not sure if its the derailleur clutch or just how long the chain is for the size of the chainstay, heard this guide can help with that a bit.

    • @RideEatWander
      @RideEatWander  Před rokem

      I would say mildly but with the sram AXS I still get some slap on large hits

    I have a 2021 enduro and get crazy lower chain lap. I’ve tried e13 and mrp chain guides with lower pulley and it causes too much drag. Does the cascade guide reduce or help any of the lower chain slap on the under side of the chain stay?

    • @RideEatWander
      @RideEatWander  Před 2 lety

      I don’t think it will solve your problems entirely but I think it could help. As far as drag goes this is the best I’ve used for not dragging while pedaling.

      I have this same question. Did you end up trying it out?

    • @RideEatWander
      @RideEatWander  Před 2 lety

      Hi Spencer’s. The chain guide will rub a little if you run Eagle or shimano 51t. 50t Eagle will rub a little depending on your sag amount, 52t Eagle is pretty constant but I don’t feel robs power and shimano is in between.!

    Looks like a quality piece. I assume they don’t make it in 36t

      They do not. 32 is actually the highest they go.

    Is this oval compatible? it seems like it couldn't be the way it is designed.

    • @RideEatWander
      @RideEatWander  Před 2 lety

      Hi Luke. It is NOT oval compatible unfortunately. I had to switch from oval to round just for this test. Its a bummer for sure but ill see if I get along with round again.
