10:06 Sonet still ahead of competion with diesel auto ❤
A gr8 advantage of kia is having diesel engine option in manual, imt and auto. Which venue lacks.
It's high time motoring journalism COMPULSORILY mentions the GNCAP/Bharat NCAP score, or the lack of it, in each review.
Buddy look at motorInc review to Kia sonet, in the end they have explained why BNCAP/GNCAP are not much useful. We all know sonet would come under 4* but unfortunately people dont know what these stars mean which is the reason why when verna got 5* tata fan bois couldnt believe.
So grow up, start appreciating cars and not stars
@@aryamannreddy4848It only takes one horrific road accident (India being one of the highest in the world) to start appreciating stars, which you should learn about. Btw Verna despite receiving 5 stars was deemed as having an unstable body shell. Finally, brand loyalty is for suckers, and every car manufacturer should be held to higher standards.
@@M4NA5 One horrible accident and you wont be safe in any car buddy. Its not the stars that you should focus on but to learn how to DRIVE. Trust me in an accident where there will be death in a 3* car, it will still be death in a 5* car, you should also check the scores and not just the rating and you will know how close it can be. Thats why i recommend you to read what these stars mean instead of making uneducated estimates and saying stuff like TATA desh ka loha and stuff.
Also tata have to upgrade their software in automatic, literally so many people complaining their DCA being stuck or screens going blank, imagine how UNSAFE that is. Grow up kid...
@@aryamannreddy4848 Spot on! All those folks who count stars should probably start learning how to drive safe first including wearing rear seat belts otherwise you wont even survive even if you are in a Volvo. I think lot of people who preach safety have the misconception about safety.
About the 1.2 lit engine... Is it underpowered? Not fuel efficient?.... Because of the strict budget I have only the 1.2 engine option.... Is it a wise choice?, there is little to none videos about HTK+ variant.... Please give you views on it!
If you are not from the hills it fine
It doesn't feel underpowered at all.I have driven it
For cities, it is just enough and you will find difficulties while overtaking. Not good enough for highways. In similar budget you can go for renault kiger turbo variant.
Have tested it in i20. It quickly builds up speed till 80-85kmph after that it tappers down. can cruise at 100-110kmph comfortably. At high speed(100-110) you have to plan your overtakes or drop one/two gears and push the engine little bit. Best for sedate drivers. If this is your first car or owned similar sized NA engine it will be satisfactory. But if you are used to turbo petrol/ turbo diesel this or similar sized NA engine will feel like a compromise.
I had i20 which has same engine and lighter body than this.1.2 lit is only good with much lighter i10 not good with this heavy weight cars. This engine is not fuel efficient. I am not Tata fan but nexon base models starts with 1.2 turbo and same for Brezza which base starts with 1.5 litre engine. Take test drive with 2/3 people in back seat and decide.
Spending 9/10/11/12 lakh for a dull1.2 litre engine is not a wise decision. Thats why No leading channels talks about this 1.2 lt variants

Sonet Diesel AT 2023 vs Nexon Diesel AT 2023.!
Can someone tell me why the exhaust tail pipe is below the bottom level of the car in the middle?? It is clearly visible from outside and lowers the ground clearance also probably
Hello I am planning to buy a new car and am deciding between a Sonet & Venue.
Please advise which is better and how is Kia as a brand compared to Hyundai.
Did you buy ?
Till @6:20 no word on engine and transmission
what gearbox is in the diesel.. CVT or TC ?
Torque converter
Does top model have wireless apple carplay, android auto ?
No
What about High tensile strength steel which in Kia's own admission was missing in the India spec for this car for 'cost reasons' ? Airbags cannot compensate for body rigidity and strength!
People here will only talk about features, but features won't save anyone in a crash. The only reason I dont like kia & Hyundai is their poor build quality.
Oh don't be silly. India made cars don't need high tensile strength steel for safety. But to compensate, we will give you sunroof and wireless charging. Also NOT ONE BUT TWO digital screens to up the premium feel. Bas dekhlo ki accident na ho jaaye.
High tensile steel isn't cheap. There's a reason cars that make it to India don't have the same build quality of the same car sold in foreign markets. The stupid people in this country only care about the mileage and features, and aren't ready to pay money for the things that matter in a car. Sick of the automotive market in India.
As usual tata fanboys are crying all over comment section barking about build quality..A car with bit inferior build quality is far better than a car with high build quality but gets break down on the day of delivery itself🤣🤣
@@vyshakhanand7586 bro get a life, commenting trash on every single thread will not yeild you anything.
1.2 litre petrol shud hav been offered with an cvt option also
That dumb engine belongs to 2009 i10😂
yeah but they gave you a lane changer warning 🤣
Looks Promising 😊
I am driving Petrol Turbo DcT since a year.I love the Power, comfort and features. But two things I found could be better.First is the Turbo Lag at lower speeds which is a hassle in city traffic.Secondly, the steering is too light and feels a little not in sync.
Can someone please confirm if this (Turbo lag at lower speeds) issue is still there in new Sonet too? I assume yes, but just want to be sure.
@@mitar001 I haven’t driven the updated one,but I am sure it would be the same,as there are no changes in the power train as well as the Gearbox tuning. There are just cosmetic and feature updates.I would not recommend it to anyone, despite being the otherwise great product.
@@allgoodthings2469Thanks for your response. Just so I understand it correctly, you are saying due to this issue you won't recommend new buyers to go for this car. Is it such a big issue? A deal breaker?
I was planning to go for the same model.
When I did the test drive I did notice not so smooth start. But once it gained some speed, all was ok.
If you are looking for the alternate options, only Brezza with its NA engine, coupled with AT gearbox is good(ZXI Variant).XUV 300 upcoming update is rumoured to have AT gearbox(upgrade from current AMT) could be a great option with its superb 1.2 Turbo Engine. If not Brezza, then I would not recommend any other car to you under sub 4m segment.
@@allgoodthings2469Thanks mate
It ĺooks gòod in such a price we have to compromise somewhat
Kia sonet good varc. Happy to own it
I thought Sonet has a 4 cylinder engine ? Video it is mentioned 3 cylinder engine
Good review
Any idea about safety features ??
Thanks for the review Bruno Mars
Sorry to say….. this review, doesn’t feel like the person drive and experience the car and talking…. It’s seems like talking something learn by heart….
If you drive and feel the difference, that will be a different story. But here you just learned some journal and spill out. And extensive use of “however” is clearly point that you just learn by heart, rather than drive and share the experience…….
This review put me to sleep.
@@deadsec3554 True….. because he don’t know anything about the cars. He just spilling out what he learned from the paper…..
Kia SPORTAGE
When it's gonna launch
Watched in 1.25x to feel it normal 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you. Much better
Thank you
wow it looks pretty and finally adas on sonet 😍😊😄 (by the way it looks like a baby carens and facelifted carnival ☺️)
My mom has the 2023 one that I wish she wait for 2024
Why are all the redesigned cars called facelift even when there isn’t any facelift
Underground Covering of a NEW CAR is worn out ""KIA YEH TUNE KYA KIYA ""!!!
I'm planning to buy a car wch is mini SUV like kia sonet , Hyundai venue or tata Nexon budget til 9 to 10 laks on road including taxes ..any recommendations
You'll only get an Spresso
Pay a bit more and get something like a Bolero neo
I like the hair of the presenter ❤
I like 1.5 diesel manual
Indian companies cannot match this quality
Kia and Hyundai are the best when it comes to copying designs and implementing it... plagiarism is the new in thing today
GUWAHATI KIA SHOWROOM is bad. Sales executives behave as if customers are just headaches and we don't know anything. Once I went to their showroom to book a Kia with a cheque. Suddenly a big shot customer came to their showroom and left me like a begger. I quietly came back and never been there for the second time. Later I booked a Tata with amazing good people and fantastic service.
Essay likh ke suna raha hai kya bhai?
No mention if there’s wireless android auto
The previous model came with wireless android auto/carplay, so I assume that hasn't changed.
Hi, both are still wired.
@@sohamthakur95 🤦🏻 what a waste..
@@sohamthakur95 nope only top end is wired. Below models have wireless, same like old model.
Will still opt for nexon, even after knowing about it's reliability issues because life is precious. The day Kia & Hyundai start producing cars with better build quality (mind you more airbags doesn't necessarily mean more safety), I'll buy one.
Reliability in tata ? Good luck surviving a crash where airbags don't even deploy .
Tata will blame you ultimately and wash their hands off . You accept it yet you defend them
@@nujjigramthese people will blindly say something without knowing much facts bro? they will support tata for no reason lol
@@nujjigram i wrote reliability issues, plz read it carefully.
@@vm-hv9he I'm not saying anything blindly, I myself own a Nexon. It has some issues too and Tata service is not upto the mark but at the end of the day it's a safer option when compared to kia.
Why do people worry and fight about the other person's car
you buy the car you like; they buy the car they like
Somehow the Sonet really looks like a hatchback to me unlike it’s sister Venue which has almost same dimensions but actually looks like a compact SUV. There is something about this car’s proportions that I don’t like.
No its not same dimension please check height is major role sonet height is more then venue
@@Rahul-gn1er I see. Maybe that’s what seems odd to me
Dude why would anyone have to like the video before getting into the video. That’s ridiculous @autocar
Nice🇸🇦
Nexon is still better. Back seat space matters a lot, specifically long drives. Then, the 5 star Global safety standard is unbeatable when you want your family to be safe.
Another tata fan boy who is jealous of superior Kia cars spotted🤣
reason why car enthusiastic are declining💀
@@vyshakhanand7586💯👌 spotted 😂
Bhai pura stoned lagra hai 😂
not sure about build quality 😮
Seems like a 4th standard essay competition 😅
since when have we started to call a hatchback an SUV?
Jesus a 1.0 turbo auto. how does that go up hills with a full load.🤣🤣
works pretty well
What matters is output not engine size, only turbo lag is issue in turbo petrol. Don't forget the 250nm torque diesel too.
Even I thought the same but I own the new hundai venue NLine N8 Adas but the engine is amazing you take a test drive you would know how fun it is to drive
And in hills it drives like a butter in a pan it’s spectacular .
@@yashmukhi7895 serious question buddy do you not mind about the back seats space being too tiny. i just feel the boot could have been smaller to let more knee room in the back. it just feels this is for a family with small kids. and you will be buying Sentos in a few years
My country only petrol 1.5
just think before you buy do you really need all that electronic stuff. lane changer etc. no not really
KIA and its brother Hyundai have been conning the indian public for years. with crap you just dont need. wouldnt it been better to make the boot 370 litres and make more room for the back sit passengers.
Honda Elivate is a far superior car Honda always give you what you want no crap.
❤❤❤❤
Kia sonet better now
9:22 why you people promote and exaggerate diesel engines. These cars are meant to drive max in cities only... Diesel polution is more harmful than petrol in cities. 😡
Too pricey better buy Fronx delta+ instead.
Sonet not worth 20 lakhs
15 hai Bhai
kia kia kya kia kya kia re sanam...i hate this car ..i sat on back seat hatchback is more comfortable than this car
Venue is still far better than this.
N line 😍
In what ways??
Heard venue is good, I think both has their positives & negatives, Ultimately it will come between Price & Maintenance
@@Suhas.In every way
Looks better i guess.
Kia cars have the worst comfort, the seats are like sitting on a rock. The worst experience i've ever faced is in this car and the carens, and both were top models.
Got to say India have better kia car's
