00:36 How is Tesla reproducing the Semi before releasing new version?
05:09 Why has Musk never revealed the price of the Tesla Semi?

Tesla Semi BIG Update! Mass Production 2024, Shock Price, Payload and New Version Release Soon! Tesla Semi has never been sold at $180,000; it is more expensive, and Dan Priestley confirmed there will soon be a new version for this big rig with a price enough to make the transportation industry race more fire. Tesla Semi BIG Update! Mass Production 2024, Shock Price, Payload and New Version Release Soon! Compared to other Tesla models, Elon Musk has always been secretive about Tesla Semi’s price, even though the quantity is only about 100 units currently, but we have good news that Semi Trucks are being produced again at Giga Nevada before Sleeper Cab Version release.
Tesla Semi BIG Update! Mass Production 2024, Shock Price, Payload and New Version Release Soon! VP Tesla Moravy also directly confirmed this!

At 8:46 - 8:48 "Maximum Payload Capacity of 82,000 Lbs" - Sorry Sir, The Is GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT ON ROAD (GVOR).
That Includes Everything, Including Tractor, Driver, Fuel, Trailer, AND CARGO! That is why the big Question on - "What are the Tesla Semi Specs?" Remains!

“You don’t know what your talking about” I second that statement and do so not to be mean or make the author feel poorly but rather to inform anyone here reading these comments about the accuracy of statements made in the video. I’ll say with 100% confidence that those 3 “Truck Frames” are actually trailer chassis which are used to transport shipping containers. I invite everyone to verify this statement for yourself. You may even learn something.
Note: The Maximum Gross weight recognized Nationally for Tractor/Trailer combinations is 80,000 pounds rather that 82k which was stated in a previous comment. That is the standard max weight but a loaded truck can legally weigh much more than that with a specific permit depending on each separate state and with consideration to their bridge law and the Riggs axle configuration. Here in Mississippi we are allowed up to 84,000 with the purchase of a harvest permit when running farm tags.

According to Reuters "PepsiCo secured over $20 million in government grants to cover the cost of 32 of the Semis, plus federal subsidies of $40,000 per vehicle." Also, PepsoCo is using only 36 of the 100 Semi ordered in 2017. "Other would-be Tesla customers including food distributor Sysco, UPS and Walmart Canada continue to wait for Tesla Semi trucks and are turning to rival electric-truck makers". Time is running out for Tesla Semis.

You don't know what you are talking about because the 82,000 lbs is the gross vehicle rated weight and it has nothing to do with if it has a sleeper or not because the gross vehicle weight doesn't change if it has a sleeper also I don't think it will effect the range either !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edison Motors has a better idea and built their prototype in 1 year, it has also been approved by Canada’s regulators and Edison is officially a manufacturer.
The Edison Semi is actually designed by truckers for heavy duty operations and has a built diesel generator as a range extender. The very first load moved by this truck was over 100,000 lbs.
pure electric semi trucks only makes sense for a limited number of trucks.

    • @andersonnettleship845
      @andersonnettleship845 Před měsícem

I should also add that it was built from the ground up for Heavy Hauling (loads up to 180,000 lbs) and most of that is off road (Long Logging).
Edison also believes in “The Right To Repair” with all components being off the shelf which is something companies like Tesla would never do.
Edison Motors is also currently working on a “Kit” with a dealer/Instllation network to repower existing heavy duty vehicles and pickups with all electric drivetrains and onboard range extending generators. A much better and workable solution than the Cybertruck

Tesla semis do not need to do long haul. Medium and short routes, typical between certain warehouses. Or think of the trucks hauling ontainers to and from major ports as LA. 90% of loaded semis in the US got a weight of 73000 lbs and less.

How much of the cost of Diesel is tax? Because if it's taxed, that represents a loss to the Government, and it's not something that's going be tolerated. They are sure to impose some kind of tax on EV Semis to claw that back.

The design will radically change with self driving.
Likely it will come with an emergency virtual driver capacity (a person sits in a simulator cab that gets video feed from the actual truck.
The shape can radically change when there is no seat, air conditioning, doors, etc.
