This may come as a surprise to you lads, but the footballing world doesn’t revolve around England. Spanish supporters don’t rate their league on whether a few lads in England can be bothered watching the games or not, and a 25 year old World Cup winning gazillionaire who’s won plenty of leagues and cups in his home country probably doesn’t feel his career’s been wasted not playing the likes of Burnley and Crystal Palace.

Nah, all he has to show for himself at club level is Ligue 1 titles which everyone knows is only the 5th best league in Europe. The guy will already be 26 at the end of the year and he’s very reliant on his pace so who knows what happens when he turns 30. He should indeed have a couple of serious league titles and maybe a champions league at this point. He chose money, so okay but he’s damaged his own potential in the process.

The Premier League is so overrated; I can't stand hearing this panel talk about it as if it's so competitive or the zenith of world football. The technical ability displayed by the average player in Spain is superior to the brute physicality of the Premier League right now IMO; Which is why I prefer watching La Liga on the weekly basis.
The truth is the Premier League is nowhere near as good or competitive as it was in the early to late 2000s where you had 4 world class teams who legitimately had a chance to win it every season. Its just living off its branding! Nowadays City are on the verge of winning it 4 years in a row which would also mean they would be champions 6 of the last 7 years.
