Oh, wow, thank you for posting this! I loved this series back in the '80s and have been searching for them ever since! I loved her enthusiasm and encouragement. Her painting style really influenced mine at the time.
Wow, I didn't know that she was such a good art teacher. I like the style. The shadowing fits perfectly to this style. Wonderfully done, Elke! And inspiring to me. Todd, do you have more of Elke's painting videos?
Sie war sehr schön als sie jung war. Ich habe sie zum ersten mal in Shot in the dark bei Peter Sellers film gesehen und sie war so schön sie hätte im jemandem James Bond movie spielen können.
@@ToddMarkel thank you so much for posting the one that you had. I never forgot her painting show. I reached out to the PBS station where it was produced but they do not have streaming rights but I did order her book from eBay. Thank you again it brought back so many great memories.
Oh my gosh!!!!! She is 77 yes old!!!!! I knew she was getting old, because I thought she was getting old when I was a kid & my mom would watch what few movies she did.
Oh boy... if only Elke came in around Bob's more polished later era... You can see the constraints of having to wait for paint stages to dry against tv time schedules. We see how showing painting lessons in a half hour slot was still being worked out here. Elke provides a great deal of eye-catching entertainment and interaction, but the paint teaching flow is still very new and clunky. Wet-on-wet oil painting tended to have the advantage of providing the perfect means to create real-time painting in a half-hour slot. Still, Elke is nice, ja? :)
I remember that crazy way she would shade & even when I was young I thought it was stupid. Because she was a movie star, people paid a lot of money for her art. Another old movie star Tony Curtis also painted when his acting career was over but he did some beautiful paintings. When you grow up in the country & have 3 TV channels plus your mom was young when Tony Curtis etc was all you had to watch you learn the old stars & movies
Well, that whole show felt terribly rushed. I understand what she's going for with her Elke technique but that all seems like a real mess. Nonetheless very interesting to see.
Elke is beautiful lady!
