This channel is so refreshing! No exotics or 200k builds, just normal people things. Bravo sir
Yes but he also doesn't have the views of the channels.
That's why we love it. Wished the views were up tho
@@jovo21 Same. I may just put an 8 hour playlist together with his vids and play it while I sleep. That should get views up a bit. lol
@@mattewiegand9896 I'm not sure why the views would effect the quality
Yes..kids exist and should be included in this stuff..who knew kids can narrate and shoot video. I enjoyed this as much as any other mechanic CZcamsr...inspires me to buy another old car and let my kids fix it up with me like we used to.
I mean, I was waiting for that baby to go arse up into the bucket of water, or the other kid to fall off the roof of the truck.
But yeah, it's fine.
I did this challenge myself with 400, bought a 04 Mini Cooper, spent 200 on fixing it up and sold it for 1500, it was a fun little school holidays project
“THERE’S A CAR IN THE WILDERNESS!!!” Love this so much 😂
I haven’t watched your videos for a while, because I wasn’t really into diy wide body mods on cars just for aesthetics, but I got a notification earlier and decided to check you out. I enjoyed watching this one.
A total of $220 for what has been done on your engine’s head is a bargain, dude. For example I’m from Bulgaria, here the average salary is around 500/600€ and the last time I had to put my engine’s head and give it to a shop that only deals with engine heads to get it in order I spent 175€ and the head was from a single camshaft engine with 8 valves only.
$900 for this Honda HRV is a bargain even here in my god forgotten poor country.
Love to see that you got your sons around you all the time. I’m kinda envious, cuz I got divorced and my 3 year old son lives with my ex wife(of course) and I haven’t seen him since Christmas. I can tell that you’re living the dream.
Best wishes to you and your family! I’ll stay tuned for your next video.
How is it that low i dont even work and get 1200€ in Belgium as a student
Definitely knew it was the head gasket at 10:40 when your wife cranked it over and the second cylinder had water splash out.
Anyway, glad you got it fixed man! I love my CRV (same one). Great family car. Don’t get rid of it! Would def like to see more upgrades/content on this car!
Along with the other comments, the reason built official is the channel it is, is because it’s real. It’s stuff we can all do. I don’t watch any car content other than this channels. Edit - haven’t laughed so hard at a CZcams video when your kid was saying “there’s a car in the wilderness”
This just shows value of maintenance, of even preventative maintenance. Any car I grab for cheap i do a full service and check condition of the timing belt
Love seeing little lady joining her big brothers :) Great video!!
Getting projects finished to free up brain space? What a great idea; I have some projects on the go, but I need to make brain space for important things, like remembering all the lyrics to Back In Black!
Ive watched your videos for a little while and whilst you are a talented car guy you're also a great dad. So, keep it dude. You're doing awesome.
So fun watching the kiddos in the video 😂
OMG Great to have you back Kaleb!
Check if ur seats are the camper type. Pull the front seats all the way forward then remove the headrest. Lean front seats all the way back. The back seats have q lever to the side that tilts them upward and then a pull lever near the headrest that leans them back. It should pretty much turn into a bed.
I have a lifted CRV that I use to go camping in. Rooftop tent good to go. B20 with vtec head is tha move.
Almost 2 years ago, I bought a 94 dakota, v8 4wd ext cab. Runs drive. Only replaced battery & brake caliper the sent with the truck. I paid 400 for it& hasn’t missed a beat since
I hate to play "first" but I want to be first to Say I love seeing a notification from your Channel!
I'm not gonna lie.. watching you put those cams in the wrong spot and me catching it immediately made me feel like a master tech 😂 Awesome video! Teaching the kids young too, thanks for the lessons.
It's been a bit since I caught one of your vids but it is so great that your channel has stayed true. I subscribed a couple years back after watching some of your widebody Audi vids and was brought in by this family guy who is also a car guy. Just give it a try is your way of doing things and I think that is great. You keep it honest by showing mistakes and down to earth by working on everyman projects, with simple instruction while interacting with the kiddos. Congrats on your new addition by the way, and I hope your channel continues to grow and you are able to entertain and inform for years to come.
Yes sir! Picked up a 2001 suburban for $800 about two years ago. It was worth every penny. Gotta love those kid haulers! More power to the dad's out here making it happen 👍🏾
It's a good day when Built posts a video
I could definitely use that tool setup for junkyard days.
LOL That look at 9:42. Classic WTF Dad look. Great video.
the crankshaft rotates twice for every rotation of the camshaft, glad your back enjoy your videos
Congratulations on the third baby, happy to see you a nicer place. It's awesome to watch your channel and your family grow LOL. God bless
I have been watching your stuff for awhile now ( about 2 and a half years ) i enjoy your channel, love to see you putting out videos again regularly. I love that your kids are in your videos. I sincerely hope you are back to stay. Keep up the good work sir!
It'll be interesting to see at what point pricewise you can no longer get something that isn't an utter liability to everyone on the road
Edit: great fun seeing your kids get involved in the video!
Check those brake lines if it pulls when braking and look for a little lift kit for it!
I love to watch and learn as you diagnose stuff, thank you for yet another awesome video! I picked up a subaru impreza with broken timing belt (and half the valves bent) for $600 and so far I'm in about $1200 total for a great running and driving car after I rebuilt it myself. A lot less expensive than anything comparable that's available in my area.
Yoooo!! Kaleb!! Congrats on the new land and house!!!! View is insane and your kids are hilarious bro!!! This videool on the Honda literally shows real world things that happen along the way 😃. Enjoyed!!!
I bought my last car, a 1999 civic last year for $1,100. All it needed was a fuel pump relay, a 60$ piece. Been daily driving it for a year now. Also came with really nice coilovers and billet drop forks
Missed you bud! We are all glad to seen you are still it it
I found your channel during the budget C10 build. Absolutely love your videos and everything your channel does. Would love to see more budget videos like that and this!
Love your content man, all the hard work and education you put in these videos for people who don't know anything about cars and even some stuff for people who have been working on cars for a long time. Your kids are super funny too and it's cool to see you enjoying time with them and them helping you with the cars! Keep up the great work man!
Love seeing your video pop up!! We missed you man. Hope your doing well. You and another one of my favorites have just come back from long hiatus' and I'm excited to see the path forward. Your a real one and I support you!!!
I bought a 84 s10 sport that was fairly clean, leaked a metric shitload of oil, and alot of coolant, still haven't fixed it, this is an inspiration though
Glad to see you back to basics.
I just discovered this channel and I love it. Those kids might be a bit annoying now, but they will grow up to have great personalities and futures as their dad did the best he could for them. I find him to be a great father figure and I wish the best for him, his family and his channel as well. More power to him!
How long did it take you to land a 900 solid car man. I'm totally skeptical about buying nowadays.
You're great at these videos. Everybody appreciates. I'm a new one too.
Best part of my Saturday. So awesome you put in when you make a mistake too . Great video
Words cannot describe how happy I am that you bought an RD1 🙏🏽
I bought a 1991 Foxbody mustang 2.3 for $1000 running and driving with absolutely no rust! With clean Arizona title. It is definitely possible to get cars cheap still, you just have to find the right deals and not be too impatient. That’s one of my big issues. I’m real impatient and jump on whatever I think is a good deal. Luckily this one did me right and puts a smile on my face when I jump in it just knowing im driving a 91 mustang. The 5.0 swap will be coming soon tho 🤩
New to the channel first video so far I’m liking it!
you def gotta get one of those handheld carpet extractors, great for interiors
Starting my day learning that there's a new video from my favorite CZcams channel is GREAT! Watching you with your kids is as much fun as watching the builds :) LOVE THAT YOU'RE BACK!!
I love my 98 CRV 😄 awesome car
This kinda video reminds me of being with my dad working on cars before he had ALS I miss times like this, Keep doing what you love man much love.
Should look on HRG and get a lift kit for that! Good price and quick delivery!
I really like these kind of builds
Been awhile, good to see y'all again. Liked the video too.
I love your content. Probably the best car content out there.
Love the simple content! You are an awesome dad
Great video, definitely a change up to the current video
This is great! Just discovered your channel and I love the engine stuff but also how you incorporate a bit of your life into it. Keep it rolling!
Great to see you back! And congrats on the new view! 🎉
Appreciate your videos man
Pull the dents and raptor line it (color other than black). Custom bumpers and roof wrack!
First video I’ve seen from you and love that you have your kids in your videos and how informative you are about what you are working in and actually teaching your kids some mechanical stuff when they ask questions about it, also classic parenting mid videos 😂. Anyways definitely earned a sub from me I’ll be going through your other stuff and checking it out
I was given a 98 Honda CRV with 106K original miles that was abandoned for eight years a couple months ago it’s been hit from the side and the B pillars a little bit bent but I think I can straighten it out enough to put a door on it. I cleaned the fuel tank, replaced the fuel pump and some fuel hoses and coolant lines and other miscellaneous vacuum lines and it runs and drives perfect
I like this series
Loving to see you upload again Caleb!
Your kids are going to gang up on you :). Everything about being a car guy.... Out in the the cold and rain and dark, simple distrubutor job turns into a few days, working on a scrapper parked next tp a 911 and the inspection lamp that doesnt work! . btw whats a v-tag (im not american). Love your videos, all plans on hold when I get a Built notification.
Love that you have your kids involved a great family man I’m subbed
i think a custom roof rack and front tube bumper and side steps would make some great future builds for this. Love the channel showing how now matter the situation if you want to make it you can, legos for adults is very right!
Love the crv content i own a couple and they are awesome
Damn. I don't do Instagram or would enter. Happy for your accomplishments man. Been here since 2020
I love the wholesomeness of your channel
amazing and honestly video bro thanks ! new suscriber!
Good job bro! Keep it up! Can’t wait to get into my car again and fix up some things.
Great video man 😊
Subbed for the real parenting going on in this video. I love it.
Bro, this was an interesting video at first. Later watching you and your son around the halfway point made me subscribe. Way to go on being a great dad! 👍
Early this year, I bought a 2001 Outback on $2500 coilovers and $1000 wheels for $1k.
Smartest purchase i’ve ever made. Been my daily since.
“There’s a car in wilderness” “I’m gonna bring a tree with me nope I can’t pick it up” ❤😂
I bought a $600 ford focus st after watching you last night cleaned it up and trying to make some money off it
Great vid my guy!
Love the content Caleb
your content is awesome !
I miss it,Love this!! All of this!
All my kids are in there 20’s now🤣💪🏼🙏🏻❤️🤦🏻♂️🤣🤣🤣
Trust me, it goes by fast and when it’s gone you’ll wish for it back!!!
This content will work. Good stuff.
Hell ya I got a 2001 zx3 focus with full bolt ons and a 93 octane tune so badass just sprayed it comp orange about to be finished all under 2 grand spent $750 on the car and $1250 on paint lmao
Wow dude, congrats on the land. The view is amazing. Was that a good deal? I can't imagine buying something like this in my country being just a regular guy
It depends on the state but generally there are deals to be had the more rural you go.
The caveat that most people don't understand however is the upkeep...you have to like landscaping or have the money to pay somebody.
I bought a 1994 ford ranger 2.3l 5 spd with 475k miles for 600 bucks and already put over 2k miles in less then a month with no issues
Nice to see you again 😊
Lol In 1996 age 18 I bought multiple 1967 VW Bugs for 500$ and under. I bought an all original pop out window 66 Bug for 300$ A year later I bought a1965 Malibu Chevelle for 2000$. It wasn't running tho. I almost bought a 1964 impala running for 4500$the same year but someone got to it before I did. Shoot even in 2006 I found early 90s NSX for 18k$ and mid 80s Lamborghini for 24k$. Both those cars today are up close to 100k$ or more now. I kick myself in the arse for so many missed opportunities.
Oh man I been looking for a crv project for awhile now. Really want to do a "civic" "ricer" build on one. Hard to find a decent one here in the PNW. Looked at a couple bad beaters for $2500ish. Anything under that has a major motor problem or is wrecked.
I got my Saturn ion for $400, my golf was $100 as a roller and drivetrain was from my $300 Jetta that's I traded back to my buddy for a set of wheels, my Silverado was $500, you can definitely find deals you just need to know what your looking for
Need an asphalt drive way? Call Lay Construction!!!
Great content 👌
Love this
Great choice for a build!
The scolding 😂 this vid is very informative in many ways
So when you started out, we were in the same town... where did you go after that.
North
South
East
West
Only reason I as is cause... well , I drive a tow truck for a living. Ya know, I might be useful... in the future. Either way, Cool little ride for under 1500.
that backdrop with the crv and the kids having fun should have been how honda marketed the car when it was new
Yess ,looking forward to this build. Although it's quick it'll be a satisfying resto. 🤟🏽
Great video
Forget the car, your kids steal the show!
Kids a natural on that outro
I'm so happy 😊 to see you and your kids! OMG A new Baby!!! 😍
I have a 2003 explorer i bought for $350 and drove it 1200 miles from Nebraska to Georgia then had to fix the front clip and front brakes and valve covers i still have to do but im right about $900 but trust me it needs more work 😂 like i assume front wheel bearings, front cv axle, front sway bar but other then that i still drive it just short distances to the store (its just the back up if im home alone if not i get a ride)
