Hi thanks for watching and your comment, I used U shape for the two sides 15mmx15mm and the top piece was 25mmx15mm L shape, I got them from Wickes. Ive since recovered the seat with the same material as my seating, looks better now its matching.
Can you tell me if by adding the 10mm to all sides, you have found that adequate to be able to put your hands into the box to either disconnect the top section of toilet from the bottom or to lift the whole unit out of the box. Thanks
Hi yes that’s ok to lift out, if you lift diagonal it’s even easier. I’ve never had any issues. If you make it bigger it takes up more room and the toilet may slip around. Thanks for viewing and you question.
Hi, I used two clips at the back and two hooks on the back of the seat. So when I travel i just clip it together. You could just use a strap to stop it moving around or some anti slip matting. Thanks for watching.
this turned out beautiful! I love the use of same flooring on it,you have inspired me to do the same, thanks for posting.
Hi thanks for your comment, I used the same flooring for my wall cupboard in another video I posted on my channel. 👍
Looks great. Hope to build one too!
Thank you. I think I would cover the seat in vinyl or a better material next time as I think the carpet will wear out quickly.
Great video! - can you please post what and where you found those lid hinges. Thanks!
I got them from wickes building store, there flush fit kitchen door hinges.
Hi great video
What thickness of plywood for sides and top did you use thanks
Keep up the good work..
Hi I used 12mm ply for the sides and base and 18mm for the lid. I found these sizes are easy to get hold of in diy stores and not too heavy.
Great finish, what size of trim did u use is it L shaped or U shaped? Where was it purchased from?
