Cool zipline! I have this welder, never used it, never welded. Guess I just need to jump in and start figuring it out. Thanks for the review.

Lol, me too, me neither! It's been sitting in my passenger seat, moved to bed twice, sat in shop floor, pass seat, small home shop, back in truck where it is now. Think I'll run mine tomoro

I already bought mine but haven't run it yet. Wanted one for the house as I have a millermatic 251 I run on frames. But it's such a pain dragging around to do minor exhaust stuff and did bits. Great video, think I might run mine tomoro ; if I do , I'll update! Thanks

real world review. excellent piece. every welder runs a bit different and requires attention to arc length and amperage and travel speed and rod angle. my vantage 300 was almost idiot proof (and i put her to the test daily) but to get a feel for the basics and processes this machine is a good starter. awesome that you used 1/8 and 5/32 7018 to see what she'd do. the 6010 just needs to be run on electrode negative and it'll dig right in. great video

In my opinion Technology is very accessible now where as just 10 years ago the 2 or 3 major companies monopolize the welder machine game. Good to have other price options for the third or half the price.

Absolutely. The big names are grossly over priced.

@@robertblackshear8963yeah, i have that welder he is using and it works amazing with solid wire with gas. Only 350.00 i have many other welders and this thing keeps up with them. It is small and lightweight. Works about the same as my 250 lb thermal dynamics

My 250M arrived with factory defect so the dial selector does not work making the machine useless and they expected me to ship it back at my own expense and I was promised to have a new welder sent after providing the tracking info for defective unit. That seems like a huge risk so I just throw the welder into e-waste and call it a very expensive mistake.

well I am sorry to hear that it's always a risk when purchasing low cost equipment it's a trade-off whether you have more time or money I have more time so I don't mind putting up with a bit of headache as long as the end result is good.

So you think this thing could handle 1/2” material using 0.035” flux core? I wouldnt do it often but itd be nice if it could handle it every now and then

Just turn up the inductance and go one in and two over. I've done hafe inch with 125 amps on stick welders this way.

I forgot to mention to use 7018 all the way it will hold very well. Just use a slight drag angle of around 5 to 10 degrees on the root pass to ensure good throat penetration and your good.
