Not EVERY MegaMan game. Mr. X is the villain in MegaMan 6. I still have no idea who that guy could possibly be. I mean, he doesn't really resemble any of the other characters. The only theory I've been able to come up with is that he's Auto in disguise, but that's a pretty loose theory. Dr. Wily does make an appearance in 6, but it's only at the very end where he appears to suddenly kill Mr. X while hiding in his capsule, then bait MegaMan into fighting him again.

I never expected Flowey The Flower to be a villian when he called bullets "friendliness pellets". I dodged his bullets at the start and realised he WAS a villian when he said "RUN. INTO. THE. -BULLETS- friendliness pellets.
Although, when he turns into Asriel, he becomes more sympathetic for you. He is soulless within his "Flowey Form".

I honestly really liked seeing Monika in your videos. For someone who gets emotionally attached to things like characters in games and really wants them to be happy, everything about Monika was a serious kick in the gut. Doki Doki Literature Club is a game where you cannot have a happy ending. Not only is Monika unable to have her happy ending, but none of the other characters are able to either. It is a game designed to screw with people like me, who get emotionally attached to games like hers, to make us question what's the point of romancing a fake character if they can never ever bring me happiness outside that world. Monika's story really got to me, and I'm a person who really cares about others and I want people to be happy that they met me, so at the end of the game when Monika straight up told me she hated me, I felt awful. Despite all of the horrible things she had done, I felt bad, I felt awful and the worst part of it is, it didn't even matter. I destroyed Monika's one and only hope at happiness, for nothing. It didn't matter.
So personally, seeing Monika in your videos made me happy. Seeing her have some sort of life outside of a game, some sort of life where she got to actually enjoy herself a bit. I liked seeing the dynamic between you two because it was honestly really entertaining, and it offered a lot to the video. But I also understand that it can't remain, although I certainly wouldn't complain if she showed up in your videos as a bit of a gag every now and then. It'd be nice.
So who read all of that?
But there is a "happy ending". If you go through the route with everyone, then at the end, instead of going crazy, Sayori is nice and there's some sad words and stuff.
@@crunchygoose9675 I honestly didn't even know that, but after doing some more research it still seems like it's a bit out of the way and you need to actively save and load specific scenes in order to get them all. And even the happy ending none of the characters get any real happy ending or closure. Monika is still trapped in a game without any hope, and Sayori, Yuri, and Natsuki are all trapped in a game, likely unaware of their existence. Even the best ending leaves the girls of Doki Doki without any real hope. And to me, that's what is so striking about the game.

I feel sorry for Doki Doki Literature Club and Undertale for getting the "Oh golly, I don't want to talk about THIS game again! Ohohoho!" Treatment. It's artificially dating and restricting the games and putting an expiration date on any future video game that is not part of an existing series. Even if it's because you don't want to associate yourself with the fanbase, you're still overreacting and creating a fake narrative. Undertale's fanbase may make some weird fanart, but they also make a lot of really great remixes and fangames and the grand daddy of bad fanbases, Sonic the Hedgehog, had what's considered his best game in decades made by his fanbase.
But I saw a lot of Monika on Twitter two months after its release and now that I get the occasional one or two a year later, she's a dirty meme. Better treat pieces of media like JNCO jeans and Beanie Babies. No replay value there!
I agree with you. Games like Undertale and Doki Doki Literature Club were fantastic experiences but they just got screwed over as a result of oversaturation. I loved the game Undertale at first, but I got so sick of seeing it everywhere and the fanbase at its peak was beyond toxic, absolutely ruining the game for a lot of people, Markiplier included. nowadays it's much better, but the damage had been done. It had been everywhere to the point that people seeing it just made them feel annoyed because it had been shoved down their throat.
Doki Doki had a similar problem. The whole point of the character was to be shocking, to be a kick in the gut to the player, but that required you to go in totally blind. However, people kept talking about it to the point where no one could go into it blind anymore, and the entire point of Monika was ruined. Monika was meant to focus on you, the player, but the more people talked about her the more that impact became less heart wrenching and more laughable. Monika got spread around and was so loved for such a short period of time before people got sick of her and moveed on. Which is really sad because I honestly felt awful with Monika, after playing the game I wrote an essay talking all about what the game meant and what it did to players like me, who get emotionally attached to video game characters.
I genuinely hope that in a few years people can look back on these games and remember what they did, what they stood for, instead of being blinded by the memes. Because at their core, Doki Doki and Undertale are incredible, master class games that deserved all the love they got. I hope that someday I'll be able to show them to my kids and let them experience the same emotions I felt. Because I do feel like the games themselves will stand the test of time, but the memes won't.
I was a little concerned about that too. Every modern game I enjoy ends ups having this treatment.
Those games like Homestuck and FNAF were done to death, revived, killed again, and then the corpse was defiled in every way imaginable until nothing but a pile of mush that looks like dung was all that remained. Those meme games have lived their lifespans, let them rest peacefully in their grave for fucks sake.
Actually DDLC was dated the day it came out, the problem with it is after getting the good ending once there's absolutely no reason to go back to it because it's all linear. Undertale is alright, over hyped and over saturated to hell and the best thing about it now is the Rick Roll-like Meglovania memes.
I feel like Undertale got it much worse then DDLC. UT is a joke now. It gets memed to death(feels bad for anyone who likes Sans) and gets shit on for unfair reasons. The game isn't look back on fondly anymore and the only thing that people will agree that's really good about the game is the music. The "backlash" that DDLC got is like a slap on the wrist compared to UT's. At least people look back on the game positively and people still like Monika from what I've seen just not the talk of the town.

Imo the best villains are the complex ones with actions that may make them seem irredeemable, but can otherwise be sympathized with due to their backstory.
Such as Monika from DDLC, Flowey from Undertale, Buzzo from Lisa, The Boss from MGS3: Snake Eater, Julius Harway from Fate/Extra, Jin from Xenoblade 2 and Count Bleck from Super Paper Mario.
Though I always have a soft spot for the dicks that you love to hate such as Hades and Porky.
