Worth the wait! Jimmy and John are the legends of Aussie music. They've done a duet you'd absolutely love 'when something is wrong with my baby'. Blues for days.
You also get a bit of Diesel in there adding harmony too, as well as his guitar.
Live on Hey Hey Its Saturday is a fantastic version with some a capella at the end
Yes yes yes
You can smell the Bourbon dripping from this song.
@@sherylthomson8088 Yes, I’ve watched them all and the performance on Hey Hey It’s Saturday is definitely the best!
Some interesting facts, the drummer was Jimmy's son and his daughter Mahalia was one of the backup singers on this song. She has been a long time singer with Joe's band and took center stage with their song Riding with The King. The Barnes family are very talented musicians.
Haha pretty sure he is still Jimmy's son😜
Jackie is currently on European tour playing with Lachey Doley, amazing drummer, great band..
Don’t forget their work as the Tin Lids …
@@drbosommd Hahaha! I do recall them. Nice
Don’t forgot his son David Campbell - frank Sinatra vibes
The logical close to this little Farnham Barnes Aussie sojourn is 'when something is wrong with my baby'. See both power houses in full force.
wtf . there is no logical. only jimmy. jimmy is pure force rock n roll. . jimmyh is pure blues 80S rock, well john loves his covers
I’d definitely second this suggestion.
Jimmy Barnes credits Tina Turner as the biggest influence on his singing. She joined him in recording a duet of her hit "The Best". He has also covered her hits "River Deep - Mountain High" and "Proud Mary". He said, "She bared her soul every single night on the stage, and it was like, it was painful and beautiful to watch at the same time. And that's what I liked, that's what really attracted me" (Source: "Jimmy Barnes on the Singers Who Influenced Him", National Film and Sound Archive of Australia, 2018).
Howlin Wolf is clearly one of the biggest influences.
They seemed to get on well. Down to earth people. They were huge together
You should check out Barnesey's absolute classic, Working Class Man. The man can wail like a banshee.
Didn't know of these vocalists until a few months ago. I'm nearly 74 and am totally blown away by these. HOW MUCH have I missed????? WOW!
I reckon I first saw Jimmy nearly 45 years ago. His voice has aged like a fine wine. Gone are the days when he would swagger around the stage of a sweaty pub with a bottle of vodka in his hand..
Ahh the good old days.😁😁
The first concert I went too was the powerhouse Jimmy Barnes.seen him 15 times since, great performer
It’s funny you mention the accent because Jimmy still has quite a decent amount of Scottish in his accent- it definitely isn’t your classic Aussie accent but somewhere between the two. When he goes to Scotland he comes back with a stronger accent 😂 You’d love his early days rock/reggae/soul band Cold Chisel
They say that your accent is set in stone at the age of ~12. I think Jimmy was ~ 6. Relocating as a youngster makes your accent malleable - think Barrack Obama for example. But Elizabeth was a satellite city that grew fast on UK migration and I imagine they had hybrid accents of their very own like they did in my migrant town, or sometimes Scots talked like aussies until they crossed the threshold of their hame.
The Scottish accent is probably the strongest in the world. Jimmy moved to Australia when he was 6, but he still carries it to this day.
Tina Turner and Jimmy did a duet of "Simply the best" which shows off how similar their voices are and a younger Jimmy.... and Jimmy with Cold Chisel, his band, is phenomenal. They do a song called "Janelle " that is superb.
And Bow River and When the War is over. Also John Farnham & Jimmy & Diesel singing When something is wrong with my baby. All great songs. Great reaction & analysis. Merry Christmas, mate.
I'm adding another vote for a review of 'When Something is Wrong With My Baby' by Jimmy Barnes, John Farnham & Johnny Diesel, if you're willing! Gotta be the live version from Hey Hey It's Saturday for the perfect a cappella harmony at the end - and with those three, the voices are just as good or better live than they are in the studio.
Thank you. He's been an icon here over several decades. Many say he often just scteams but I don't see it that way so always great to get a professional analysis on it. So glad you enjoyed this,& you're enthusiasm is infectious. Great reaction as usual. Love from Australia
Wonderful summation
Fun fact , Jimmy doesn’t use his vocal chords hitting those big notes. He has had tests done , he uses his throat and vocal folds . He has been singing like that for decades with no issues.
Jimmy and Joe did a wonderful cover of Deep Purple's Lazy.
My fave DP song and such a great cover
Shot hot version
If you liked that, check Farnsey and Barnsey live on Hey Hey it's Saturday with "When something is wrong with my baby"
Awesome voice, I always loved 'Good Times' with INXS, the video is fun too. Think it was used in the film 'Lost Boys'
Correct about Lost Boys. ‘Good Times’ was written by The Easybeats, which were the first Australian music band. Henry Vander and George Young went on to become a prolific songwriting duo. George also produced a few albums for his little brothers’ band AC/DC.
Yes!!! Good Times is a great song. You get Jimmy and Michael Hutchence.
If youre gonna do good times i rekon you have to do stevie wrights vocal when fronting the easybeats.
They paved the way for australian pub rock
Contrasting this with Jimmy in his early days with Cold Chisel could be interesting for you to see how his voice has developed over the years.
Jimmy had a very smooth mid range in his early days. Now he has kind of lost that and is now best at belting.
Definitely. I would suggest "Working Class Man" as a really good intro to the earlier Jimmie Barnes. I was at a Cold Chisel concert in 1981 when some ass threw a beer can at him. Jimmie simply dived off the stage and dealt to him Legend!!! :)
100% Eiterh some Chisel, or Early solo career. Either Flame Trees from Chisel, or Driving Wheels from solo would be great examples to check out IMHO The guitar in Driving wheels is perfection.
True, try Janelle, Taipan or Letter to Alan to hear Jimmy (in Cold Chisel) at his best singing across his range without alway screaming
Lots of good suggestions here, Jimmy in Cold Chisel was a phenomenon. For your own listening pleasure check out Forever Now, Choir Girl, Flame Trees and Star Hotel. I think he’s still amazing. One of the great male rock vocalists.
Billy Thorpe, Somewhere Over The Rainbow unplugged.
Jimmy's daughter has been doing a lot with Joe too. She's been his backup singer for some toures now and they do a great song , Your riding with the King , where you really get to hear her.
Gotta love her looks of happiness and pure admiration of an awesome Blues performance. As far she enjoys doing this, we will have this channel to enjoy the music, the singing and her explanations as long as forever ❤️
So nice to see you vibing with the blues. Jimmy's bandmate from his Cold Chisel band days, Ian Moss, has a much more pronounced American flavour to his blues singing. I think most people would point to their 2003 live performance of Bow River where Moss takes vocal lead. I think you'd enjoy that.
Completely different to that, I was listening to some Laura Branigan recently (Gloria, Ti Amo) and found her Solitare performance really interesting. She really lets the belt out on that song.
That Bow River is a classic.
Hey! Thanks for the suggestion! I checked out Cold Chisel - Bow River did a reaction to it and loved it! czcams.com/video/H_I3n5_oqsw/video.html
Your reaction has made me cry - tears of joy at your happiness in discovering another great Australian talent. Have a look at John Farnham and Jimmy Barnes singing together with their version of "When Something Is Wrong With My Baby". The one filmed in black and white. It is an absolute classic!
The Live version from Hey, Hey it's Saturday is the real deal....both great though
Really enjoying the Aussie reacts with John and Jimmy. If you wanted to give the female vocalists a try, have a look at Vanessa Amorosi and Tina Arena - both have been Aussie stand outs for decades.
For female I would completely start with Never Let Me Go by the Black Sorrows. Vika and Linda are world class.
Let's not forget her Highness, Renee Geyer. The Queen of Aussie blues.
@@S0ldeed YES! Brilliant song & vocals. Vika in particular gets overlooked when ppl mention female Aussie singers.
@@FionaEm lots of great singers on this list, but from a technique point of view there's so much happening in this
czcams.com/video/VLQmwMhj4GA/video.html
Just an FYI, Jimmy has just had his 20th #1 album in Australia, a Christmas album no less..
By far Australia’s most successful artist locally..
A couple have already mentioned these songs….a live version of ‘When Something is wrong with my Baby’ by John Farnham and Jimmy Barnes. ‘Riding with the Kings’ by Joe Bonamassa and Mahalia Barnes…Jimmy’s daughter. ‘Natural Woman’ by Vanessa Amorosi, who I think has three lungs, such is her power. (Guitar by Eurythmics Dave Stewart.) These are all brilliant versions of these songs and will take you further down the Rabbit hole of Australian music.
For most Aussies he has a slightly Glaswegian accent (having grown up there until a little boy).
His older brother is a chap called “Swanee” who had a hit in Australia in the late 70s/early 80s with a similar voice.
Please listen to Cold Chisel’s “When the War is Over”.
War is over coupled with Bow river from the same live show is perfection.
Yep. To me you hear the Scottish accent on the vowels in the first “stone” and then “you” at one point but then not at others 11:56
Jimmy's gravely voice and Joe's screaming guitar... fantastic.
Massive rabbit hole of Aussie artist Beth. Have fun 👍🏻😊🇦🇺
Jimmy has been singing like this for the last 50 years although if you want a complete contrast to this performance check out Wild Thing when he was with Cold Chisel, one of Australia’s iconic bands. Also Bow River and When The War is over are classics. He also has performed with his daughter Mahalia with Joe Bonamassa on Walking Up The Road and she has sung a duet with Joe on Riding With The Kings such a powerhouse performance from both of them.
My fave Chisel track is "One Long Day" off the live album. Great bluesy track, Mossy on fire
Oh yeah…”meanwhile…!”
Hey Jennifer! Thanks for the suggestion! I checked out Cold Chisel - Bow River did a reaction to it and loved it! czcams.com/video/H_I3n5_oqsw/video.html
I've got into John , Jimmy and other Aussie artists the last two years. Thank you so much for giving these great singers I listen! Mahalia Barnes is also incredible by the way. Please watch more of John and jimmy. Also Vanessa omarosi, Tina arena, and Delta goodrem are worth a listen.
I so enjoy your reactions, because you provide such interesting information on the mechanics of singing. I am so enjoying your reactions with our Australian singers.
this was amazing. As an Australian, i guess I always detect the small Scottish inflections when I hear him speak, but after watching this I can really hear what Beth hears - the Australian accent specifics. He is certainly unique, has an incredible range, and a lovely way of switching between his natural textures. Amazing singer who i've become more and more appreciative of as I age.
Same here, as we both get older lve become quite a jimmy fan..
Hi Beth. So good to finally see your reaction to Jimmy Barnes, one of our greatest artists of all time. I would really love to see you do a critique of a young, rocker Jimmy Barnes and get an idea from you how he managed to sing the way he did back in those days. I would recommend listening to Working Class Man (official version) as it showcases his full range and is also an aussie anthem!
I've been waiting for this since your teaser!
To really hear an Australian accent shine through check out the late, great Chrissy Amphlett with The Divinyls - something like Pleasure and Pain, Elsie, or I’m Jealous.
Yes. Yes. Yes.
Jimmy is one of 10 rock singer of all time. I ve seen most of the top popular singer live and believw in me. Very few are, on stage, perfect like him
I was born in the early 70s here in Australia and cold Chisel AKA Jimmy Barnes band he was one of my favourite
Hey Wayne! Thanks for the suggestion! I checked out Cold Chisel - Bow River did a reaction to it and loved it! czcams.com/video/H_I3n5_oqsw/video.html
At 66 now, he can still blast us with that incredible voice. Which weirdly, just get better and better as he ages ...
The last time I heard Jimmy Barnes was on a cover of the Easybeats song, Good Times, that he recorded with INXS back in '87, for the Lost Boys soundtrack. His voice has aged incredibly well, he still sounds just as great as he did back then. Btw, I'm also a huge B.B. King fan and I had a chance to see him live in '06, during his 80th birthday tour. Due to poor health, he had to perform sitting down, but he still held the entire room in the palm of his hand for the entire show. Not only was he one of the greatest guitarists of all time and a really great singer, but he was an amazing performer.
Got to see Barnesey live in a small pub setting 20 years back. Some of the notes he could hit, knocked my inner ears off balance. Literally knocked me to the floor. Such an amazing voice......
I’ve been so excited waiting to see your reaction to Jimmy. It was worth the wait to watch your joy and analysis. Thank you! 💐
Go back to when Jimmy was lead singer in Cold Chisel you will open the door to Australian pub rock culture, bands like The Angles, Rose Tattoo, ACDC with Bon Scott the sound track of Australian pub culture of the 1970s through to the 1980s. There is a documentary on Albert records who recorded alot of these bands with Vander and Young being the producers and writers. Sky Hooks, Master Apprentice, Bill Thorpe and the Aztecs grand daddy of Australian rock and the great grandfather The wild one Johnny O'Keefe 1950s through to the mid 1970s before his death in 1978 after having 7 nervous breakdowns and a major car accident. John Paul Young ( love is in the air) Axim, You will be amazed have a wonderful Christmas and New Year regards Mick from Australia.
Please please please Beth do Cold Chisel!
Hey! Thanks for the suggestion! I checked out Cold Chisel - Bow River did a reaction to it and loved it! czcams.com/video/H_I3n5_oqsw/video.html
His older brother John Swann can sing. If you wish to hear Jimmy without the grit and growl try "Choir Girl" by Cold Chisel
Yes! Been looking forward to this. Jimmy Barnes is a legend. I've been listening to his music since I was a kid. He's one of the singers I heard as a kid that made me want to sing. Looking back I think a lot of the voices I love remind me a little of his voice. He definitely shaped what I like in music
This was a 58 year old Jimmy just wait until you hear him in his earlier year's with the band Cold Chisel in the 70's and then his solo year's from the 80's until now.
Cowboy in the sky!!!!!! 😁
He has a truly awesome voice for sure.
As a musician from many decades ago, this song and style is sublime! From my love of brass and playing the trumpet many moons ago, cruising along on the bass with those bit low notes to picking those melodic high strings, this song is fabulous! - Oh, and Barnesy is just the best with grit, gravel and groove!
I think it sensational that Jimmy still has a genuine Scot twang to his accent....bloody amazing considering he migrated to Aussie at 4 years old :)
Yeah, the whole Australian & New Zealand artist thing has place on my music lists.
And you've just stumbled on one of the greatest voices of 70s and 80s rock. He's basically Australia's Springsteen.
His rock vocals have a soul vibe to them. In this respect, he has something in common with his deceased compatriot Billy Thorpe.
Billy = legend
As an Aussie I struggle to hear the accent in Jimmy's singing. He still has an underlying Scottish accent, but there's definitely American inflection in his pronunciation. Listen to his brother, John Swan (Swanee); they're like peas in a pod vocally.
Jimmy is a national treasure. His band Cold Chisel were blessed with two lead vocalists... Ian Moss (Guitarist) being the other. You should check out Ian singing/playing Georgia (On My Mind), live 😁👍
Hearing Joe and Jimmy on this track has me dreaming of that big gig in the sky someday... where a youthful Robert Plant and Gary Moore combine to sing and play the blues.
Hey Justin! Thanks for the suggestion! I checked out Cold Chisel - Bow River, did a reaction to it and loved it! czcams.com/video/H_I3n5_oqsw/video.html
Jimmy has a daughter that is one of the backup singers for Joe Bonamassa. Her name is Mahalia Barnes. There is at least one professional video where she duets with her dad and she was the lead singer for a Betty Davis (the funk singer) covers album with Joe on guitar.
Jimmy is a legend! He has emerged from a terrible background of childhood neglect, alcoholism and drug abuse, to overcome a lot of demons and become a family man with a pretty stable life. It's funny that you should comment on his Aussie accent, because his speaking voice still has quite a Scottish inflection even though he's been here since he was five. BTW the song was written by Don Walker, the main songwriter with Jimmy's group Cold Chisel. They had a string of classic songs in the 70s & 80s, and still perform occasionally today.
Hey Fiona! Thanks for the suggestion! I checked out Cold Chisel - Bow River, did a reaction to it and loved it! czcams.com/video/H_I3n5_oqsw/video.html
So funny (interesting) you talking about Jimmy's Aussie accent.... I'm an Aussie and hear so much of Jimmy's Scottish accent mixed in with the Aussie. Jimmy, both by himself, and with band Cold Chisel are absolute legends here. Oh, you haven't even scratched the surface with the talent we have here.
Hey Carol! Thanks for the suggestion! I checked out Cold Chisel - Bow River, did a reaction to it and loved it! czcams.com/video/H_I3n5_oqsw/video.html

I cant believe youve never made a video on Steel Woods? best male singer on the planet
An absolute masterpiece of music. This is how great music sounds.
Fantastic reaction. Jimmy is awesome and has aged well same with Joe. Thanks. Got this all lined up for Christmas party night.
Great reaction Beth Jimmy's Whole family is very talented including his wife Jane , oh btw i love your Batman voice 🦇😁
Next Aussie artist Beth, please look at Icehouse ft Michael paynter-Man of colours live in Sydney.Michael should be a worldwide star!
Another of the greatest Aus/NZ singers from this age group is Kiwi Jon Stevens. They all sang together in the 80s. Amazing time for Antipodean music.
Finally! Been waiting for this
First time I heard him sing was live in 1977 when Cold Chisel played a gig for the 5th Australian scout Jamboree at Morphetville Racecourse Adelaide (his home town) there wouldnt have been more than 20 kids watching! I was so glad I was one of them! Saw them live again a few years back at the Adelaide entertainment Center... so good! The sound tracks to my youth.. Im 60 now....sigh
I saw him sing Ain't No Second Prize at Enmore Theatre, it felt like I was leaning forward so his voice wouldn't blow me over from the wind pressure. I love Ride The Night Away.
Jimmy is a treasure, and his voice touches the heart. Check out his daughter Mahalia Barnes, and her song with Joe Bonamassa Ridin with the kings. She has soul and grit.
Absolutely the best reaction I have seen to this fantastic song. A great mix of sheer pleasure, constructive critique and simple explanation. You know your stuff Beth. Roar girl.
I love how the distortion in the guitar solo compliments and mirrors the distortion in Jimmie's voice.
JB is a brilliant (and very underrated) vocalist. He has a very versatile voice and he's got better as he's got older. Have seen him live a couple of times (solo and with Cold Chisel) and he's brilliant live.
Hey! Thanks for the suggestion! I checked out Cold Chisel - Bow River, did a reaction to it and loved it! czcams.com/video/H_I3n5_oqsw/video.html
Jimmy was actually a rock icon, and his band Cold Chisel was at the forefront of the uniquely Australian “Pub Rock” genre. Have a listen to “Khe Sahn”, “Flame Trees”, or the live version of “Bow River”, which also showcases the vocal talents of Chisel’s guitarist Ian Moss.
Also you need to hear Jimmy sing a duet with his good mate John Farnham. “When something is wrong with my baby” is a song much like this, you will love it.
Interesting you mentioned his Aussie accent, Jimmy actually speaks with a Scottish accent! It is not as strong when he sings but it is there when he speaks. He was born in Scotland I believe.
Hey! Thanks for the suggestion! I checked out Cold Chisel - Bow River did a reaction to it and loved it! czcams.com/video/H_I3n5_oqsw/video.html
Jimmy Barnes reminds me of being a teenager in the 90s and listening to his music endlessly in my mates car on the way to school. My favourite is Flame trees.
Great review Beth. The other musical force behind this song is its writer Don Walker. Don is one of Australia's greatest song writers and has written many masterpieces for Jim with their band Cold Chisel and Jim's solo career. Don is the keyboard player and primary song writer in Chisel. The emotional hits in the song structure as you described are a common feature of Don's work. Star Hotel and Letter to Allan by Cold Chisel would be other great examples.

Your a gem Beth. Amazing synopsis of these artists, lots of passion, and the mechanics of sound as a healing, uplifting phenomenon.
Ah Beth did you catch the still strong Scottish accent from Jimmy? Yep he was born in Scotland. and even after all these years we can still hear that accent every now and then break through his now Aussie accent lol You might like to check out one of the best duets he did with John Farnham from a 'live' performance on a TV show called Hey Hey it's Saturday. I can't wait for your reaction on that one. Love from Australia ps I'm posting this link to Jimmy
King Jimmy of Australia. Cold Chisel, ZZTop and Frank Zappa got me through some difficult times in the 80s and 90s. A cuz headed from our Wales down to Aus' for work and she sent me some of the Cold Chisel albums. I'm not sure they were generally available in UK at the time.
It's great to see people discovering them now.
Hey Doug! Thanks for the suggestion! I checked out Cold Chisel - Bow River, did a reaction to it and loved it! czcams.com/video/H_I3n5_oqsw/video.html
My absolute favorite! No 1!!!! This man is pure happiness in my soul! I can't describe the feeling when I listen to him... I never wanted to meet any artists... wasn't my thing ... But him...oh my God... I want to see him at least 1 time in this life and tell him how he changed my taste in music...and how many times his voice and songs made me feel at home! He is the greatest!! God bless you!!
Wonderful! And you are most precious..I am from the future, just checking out your previous stuff, no worries...😁
Jimmy is loved in this part of the world.(NZ).
Jimmy Barnes, John Farnham "When Something is Wrong with my Baby " LIVE. YOU'LL LOVE IT.
Its interesting what you say about Jimmy's accent. You should do a quick search for him being interviewed. He sounds very Scottish to my Australian ears. Also I'd love to see you react to him singing "Fire and rain" with Marcia Hines.
Love your reaction to Jimmy Barnes ❤️ could you please do a reaction to a live performance by Jimmy and INXS "Good Times"
Thank you very much!❤️
1,2,3. .. with some littel pauses: So easy and difficult!❤❤❤😂😂😂
You gotta listen to an earlier version/studio version of this song. He's a bit older here and playing it quite safe.
His belt after "baby you know what I mean" is incredible.
It's SO good to see your reactions to our Aussie singers, Beth .. especially enjoying those I've grown up listening to. As has been suggested by others, you might want to go back and listen to some of his earlier work in Cold Chisel and singing with other artists. :)
Campbell appeared in Les Misérables in the role of Marius Campell won the MO Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical and New York Backstage Bistro Award as Outstanding Vocalist of the Year. Campbell also performed in South Pacific, Guys and Dolls - and in Hey, Mr. Producer!.
Great analysis - you remind me so much of the actress Harriet Dyer. Like others have said below, I'd love to hear your take on WHEN SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH MY BABY. Hearing Jimmy and John together would be enjoyable for you I'm sure.
Lol. As an Australian I hear his Scottish accent. Loving the vid . A beautiful Scottish lass enjoying Aussie music, what's not to like
Jimmy Barnes daughter Mahalia sings backup on Joe Bonammassas album Redemption. Shes amazing too.
OMG... finally, Finally, FINALLY! Ever since the short announcing this was coming, I've been back to your channel 4x/day. One of the CZcams vocal coach greats tackling the most supreme voice in the universe ☺♥
Jimmy Barnes is without a doubt the greatest male rock vocalist in the history of music. Note-perfect, powerful, emotional, raw, and always stunning. Is Jimmy's voice the sound God makes when he sings? God wishes. Jimmy also seems to be a really awesome person. 50 years of singing and he just gets better with time.
You should do more. A weekly Jimmy Barnes reaction to examine the ultimate singer's entire catalogue. There are moments when his voice does things no other voice has ever managed:
czcams.com/video/x4Wwq9_zn_c/video.html - consider his talent for harmony along with the stunning high modal and falsetto voice!
czcams.com/video/pcR6ML0Saew/video.html - same song, years later... and Jimmy's only gotten better. His vocal flourish at 3:36 may be the most beautiful sound ever recorded.
czcams.com/video/mdxXiE3_AHE/video.html - a good example of how adding Jimmy's voice to something that was already good can elevate it to a hymn that makes angels cry.
czcams.com/video/erSJGrpfnOI/video.html - young Jimmy. Jaw-dropping energy. Has any song ever ended with more passionate drive? No.
czcams.com/video/XlVZ28ScttM/video.html - senior citizen Jimmy. Oh look, he's ever better!! A tour de force live.
czcams.com/video/G-vwOHV2aVs/video.html - soul. Pure soul. Even if he wasn't the finest singer ever, he'd still be great. Of course, he is the finest singer ever so... wow.
More! Beth, give us moooooooooore!!! ☺☺
Thanks for putting in the effort. Well done.

When something is wrong with my baby. Farnham & Jimmy live is a must. Walk on, with Jimmy, is one of my favorites
When Jimmy sang with Cold Chisel, I reckon his best showcase songs were Cheap Wine, Forever Now, Flame Trees, Choirgirl, Breakfast at Sweetheart's and Bow River. And that duet with Tina Turner, Simply The Best. He has the ability to sing a really high harmony at volume.
Jimmy = Australian legend. Saw him with Cold Chisel and Mossy with his band. Seek out my fave Deep Purple track "Lazy" covered by Bonamassa and Jimmy. Classy. Beth is my fave vocal coach on the net and I'm happy for her reaction to Jimmy. Happy Xmas from Australia.
Loved how much you enjoyed this 😊
Wow, that was incredible! When I first saw the title, I thought it was going to be a cover of the 80's song Stone Cold by Rainbow, but this was way better! Beth, I hope you have a fantastic holiday season and an amazing, healthy new year!
BTW, I love your tartan overalls(?) and if it had a few thin red stripes it would look almost like the Armstrong tartan.
I love this😬….learning so much…more please💕
Glad you reviewed Jimmy with this one... Great Batman by the way👍
If you like Jimmy doing soul, then check out him and John Farnham doing When Something is Wrong With My Baby. But if you do, watch the live Hey, Hey it's Saturday version. The a capella at the end is magical.
one of my all time faves
He is actually Scottish but moved too Australia at a young age but great voice
He was only 5 so the Scots can't claim his musical education that was totally the Aussie pubs & clubs scene haha
@@absinthedream9668 Jimmy will tell you he is a proud Australian through and through. His musical background and influence is Australian pub rock. Nothing Scottish about him.
Lol no doubt his influence comes from Australia but the fact is he was born in Scotland
Jimmy Barnes is renowned for his powerful, some say screaming voice, but if you want to hear the man sing check out his Flesh and Wood album. My favourite album of all time.
How good is it to see some Aussie acts getting some international recognition.....thank you.
I hope we can see some comments from non-Australian's to get a feel for how the international audience receives these performers.
