If you put a sheet of Aluminum Foil under the ironing board cover, it helps reflex the heat back up and makes ironing easier. I learned that from the PBS-TV show SEWING WITH NANCY that aired in America from 1982-2017. Sadly, Nancy Zieman died from Breast Cancer in November 2017. She always had great tips.
These tips are amazing! I’ve always folded my duvet covers and pillowcases separate but after seeing you put them together like that its a complete game changer from the normal hunt the correct pillowcase game. Why have i never thought of this before 🙈😊x

One question - what do you advise me to use to clean the front of black dishwasher and washing machine and my American fridge freezer? I just haven't a clue what is best to get the marks off. Hi my darling Lancashire liz 🥰 ok so use antibacterial dish soap with warm water and a soft cloth, wipe the front with that then go ahead and with a dry clean cloth spray onto the cloth some pledge then buff that away until the appliances sparkle ❇️ The iron is so good I’ve been using it to steam the kitchen cupboard handles to 🤣🙌🏽 multifunctional 🙋🏽♀️ Sending you lots of love Lancashire liz I hope your doing ok poppet xxxx

Ok so here’s the thing with tap water, iron manufacturers can’t possibly know where people live when they buy an iron. And while tap water is relatively fine if you live in a area with no hard water the same can’t be said for hard water areas the water contains a higher concentration of minerals, like calcium, which causes a build-up of limescale over time. So I think the best solution is to use boiled water from the kettle, however if your confident the water from your tap is soft then it absolutely would be fine 🥰❤️🥰
I think our water is relatively ookay ...but I will use the boiled water from now on. I used to use distilled water but that is almost non existent three days. Thank you for that tip btw. 😘
Our water is really hard and I cannot tell you how many irons have ended up being thrown away as a result of this they never quite work the same again? I always have excess water in my kettle so rather than tipping it away I use it in the iron now. You are so welcome Linda 🥰 Lots of love xxxx

How much repair
I iron embellished or printed items inside out...works well for buttoned areas of shirts and the hemmy bits on shirts...if you know what I mean...
