She ended being paralyzed while trying to sneak from the house to elope with him. He was already looking after his mom who's paralyzed but he didn't abandon her. She didn't abandon him either because of his background but rather believe in him. Both are equally strong.
If only she can wait for the approval of her family...and plan how not to rush...hemmm...love is blind..hemmm

This man may not be “rich” in the eyes of his wife’s parents, but he’s rich in his compassion, love, manhood, and loyalty. To me, that’s the kind of rich that can’t be equaled by material riches . It’s superior.

If that's the case, then theoretically, anyone with enough money could get the parents blessing regardless if they are faithful or not.

I climbed Mount Tai when I was 18 and it took me almost 5 hours. This guy is incredible!

To climb that mountain once is enough for him to be one of the most special people alive. To climb it four times is enough to make him one of the most special people ever to have lived.

their love is certainly no less tall than mount tai. The dude has to take care his siblings, his sick mother, his disable wife, and his young children. He certainly doesn't have it easier either, but he look happy and content.
He doesn’t complain, unlike most people with unfortunate events in their lives. He has turned everything around with love, dedication, and loyalty.
Plus she literally broke her spine, crawled for 200m, and possibly gave up her family (in that moment) for this man !

Emma, they are Chinese. They never heard about love before. Who'd watch such a movie anyway. Its not new to the rest of the world as it is to you. Chinese, Vietnamese and I'm sure other Asians too, are very fierce ppl who only understand the language of money, and that's what they follow. They usually don't marry for love, but for money. Everyone knows that much.

awww just like my husband he did it for me when I was paralyzed from waist down.. I was paralyzed after giving birth..It was so hard he takes care of me and my baby at night and also go to work.. he cried when I cry because pain is unbearable
