Flamu so, firstly someone from the enemy team for whatever reason asks your cv to drop them. I guess its the Worchester, but I cant really see since I'm watching this on my phone. That would somewhat explain him throwing his planes away. Eventually someone asks for cv for help, and after being told he's empty starts badmouthing him. From there it escalates into throwing insults at each other, with nahui and all. Most of the messages come from this stuff. There is also some praise for you ^_^ nice work Btw, if you want that sort of thing I'd be fun to do, like, translate smth from russian for you if you need it. I don't want to sound patronising, your a good player. But to get around priority target by locking onto ships with torps first, launch them, de-target them before moving on. This is so that players don't get that warning you mentioned. Any way great game!

A very good BB game play - I learned a lot. I play the german BBs as well, and since the other day when I watched your video, it has helped me a lot surviving DD torps! This hinting with the indicator is great, as well as the tactics to stay back first, bait the enemy to torp me, and then use the tankiness later when enemy BBs or cruisers are brought down a bit. I still aim and shoot crap at smaller ships but watching your videos and how you aim also helped me to get citadels on BBs and cruisers sometimes now 3 times a game. Sometimes not, sometimes I get sunk first, but I think my surviving rate improved. Thank you a lot!
This channel consistently displays great and detailed analysis such as this one. Of course I enjoy replays showing good game play but the added commentaries from Flamu enhance the experience by several notches. It is like watching a documentary (which is good of course ;) ). Well done!

@@mishkata348 Attrition, was the main factor, but winter was one of the largest parts of their attrition, alongside their logistical issues and issues with tanks breaking just because they had to travel so far without trains.
The Soviet Army. The winter myth is post world war 2 cold- war propaganda . Russian supply lines and troops were also suffering from the winter so i'ts no excuse, the cold doesn't pick sides.
There's always the option of trolling BBs while you wait for your torps to reload by switching back and forth. Or by switching between targets other than the one you're actually hunting.
I often do these things too, it sometimes seem to work but knowing Wows playerbase I know most BBs don't even care about their indicator OR they do not have Priority Target in the first place :p
@@mattmac4087 Priority Target is pretty much the most-taken 1 point skill, but I suspect most players don't even know that torpedoes aimed at you don't count toward the PT number. Hell, I sometimes forget that fact in the heat of battle myself.
This and Des Moines are my two favorite types of videos. Love your stuff flamu. Also I believe it’s a lineman that you were behaving as whilst protecting the Tiaho. Linebackers are used offensively.
first, love the video. great work on explaining your methods as i love my gk and want to be better at playing her. second, i would like to start a petition to change gk's 4x2 150mm to 6x2 210mm (york guns, they would look better on her giant hull and also for the lulz) or at least 6x2 150. also a main gun option of 8x2 482 or 508, since that was in the gk's class original design. help a brother out.
I feel you on the over pens, I get that every single game, I see all these great BB players raking up some nice damage and all i get is over pens or under pens, it's maddening haha I still run that german berzerker build you featured ages ago for the scharn captain who I use on daddy Großer.

Had that same hilarious spotting with yamato. All thanks to whole team in my flank died and leaving me to tank 5 ships for the rest of the game. I think it's 100k iirc. Good thing enemy throws hard too
Nice commentary flamu. I play the GK quite a lot and I have the legendary module aleready. Together with the small guns you have 24.2s reload, but only 19km range. But it works in combination with spotter plane. After the first use you are usually quite close anyway. Combined with the full secondary build it can be a very annoying enemy. I play it this way, because I see a lot of players playing the GK for long range. But that somehow does not work because of that dispERRRRRRsion. Can you check that build? Does need good positioning, but works fine for me.
I use the module aswell but with 420's (personal preference) and with my tank + secondary build I take a very hull down position say between 2 caps with an island in front or likewise and while I dont sit at 19 or 18km I keep my distance and preserve HP until there is a weakness in the enemy teams positions where I push trough and slam them when they're vulnerable and my tankyness keeps me alive long enough to do massive damage to them. By the way the reason many players do long range with the GK is that her armor literally renders ALL AP abselutely useless because they loose enough pen and you have enough time to angle that your bow armor can shatter it. Just never show broadside since GK has the thinnest lower belt of all tier 10 bb's
The one and only Großer Currywurst. I stopped at Bismarck even though i truly love the look of these german bbs. Should probably get that Currywurst at some point in time.
You dont like the legendary module? I love. It rarely need more then 19km cause I am always very close the the action. And you still have a spotter plane in the case that you do need it. But even then, at long range (20km+) the guns arent reliable enough anyway

I just saw a video about the new Soviet BB line. They didn't mention tier 10 but I imagine it will have 150Kl health, 460mm Mass Drivers with laser accuracy and particle beam weapons for secondaries. They might as well call it Putin's Pecker...............lol
I like having the situational guns on the Grosser. No truly right or wrong choice. More ships should have options like that, instead of clear "this is always better than that" options.
thats why i dont switch from guns to torps and then guns when i want to torp...i either stay with the torps for a long time, or switch between them a lot to confuse the enemy just in case he has PT

Hi! I have 4 last points to spend on my GK captain and I don't know if basics of survivability is really worth it. On top of the module and the flag, it reduces the damage taken by a single full duration fire by 1900 circa. Do you think that is worth 3 points? I also consider that the perk reduces the time of me being spotted 3 km further because of fires by 6 seconds

I have tank build on Yamato with BoS and i only repair double fires if im below 50% hp. Using flag, BoS and the fire reduction module, my fires last 33 or 34 seconds. Its really great if you like to tank for your team.
Those first 3 salvos the Worcester is like ever salvo in the Roma since last patch. I smashed a Yamato broadside from 9km a few days ago, register 7 over pens and 2 shatters..... how is that possible? And to rub insult to injury, a Minotaur hit my superstructure while I was angled and did just as much damage

COrrect me if i´m wrong but if you follow Farazeleth he said that the KF is pretty much immune to AP bomb citadel. (got bombed often by those myself and ate a lot of pendmg but no citadels)
Yes it is true. Lots of normal pen but no cits. Tried it in trakning room. Although it was lexington's ap bomb but i doubt it would change result significantly
Aside from the tankiness, is there any good about Kurfürst now? I feel that it pays a lot for the turtleback, which is good only at brawl ranges, hydro and......what else? I miss the days when we had such a small number of ships and the GK wasn't a terrible ship. Ya know, when the game was actually good. Well... rather better than it has turned out to be. It is so hard for me to willingly play it anymore... I truly wish I knew what happened and who was to blame for it.

Without tanking you're going to die because welcome to T10 HE IFHE meme spam meta. Needs way to many fucking captain points that doesn't help anyone. Aim's for citadel which means even though German secondaries have a good penetration they're absolutely fucking worthless and shatter on full broadsides. Cant hit shit even with manual secondaries.
@@nnnn11112 i agree...but some secondary addons are useful such as AFT and range upgrade. even without manual they hit about 10% of the time, sometimes more or less depends on target size. fire chance is useful, as well as dmg vs weaker ships. accuracy will make them hit other parts of ship that are NOT citadel more often. going full secondary is a total waste as u lose a LOT of captain points AND a major firepower boosting upgrade, not to mention the need to target every ship manually AND u wont be able to use both side secondary guns. so adding a minor invenstment for secondary focused ships can be worth it...just dont rely on it. also the fear factor is significant when enemies get close, especially for DDs who really dont like it.
It's rare but it happens, I've even citadelled Conquerors. You need a ton of luck tho with hitting the right pixel when waterline is slightly lower than usual.
@@jelli4562 I think the AP shells just slip under the turtleback and while they loose a lot of penetration when they hit the water the shell completely avoids the belt and turtleback and hits tge citadel with enough pen to enter it..
That Grozovoi was crap, he couldnt tell you were not running secondaries build... The moment your guns were aimed at the moskva I would have charged, in ANY DD, cuz your can't dodge torps when they are 2km away...

Thats why I only switch to guns when I want to shoot something when Im sailing a DD. Normally I sail around in torp mode.

COrrect me if i´m wrong but if you follow Farazeleth he said that the KF is pretty much immune to AP bomb citadel. (got bombed often by those myself and ate a lot of pendmg but no citadels)
Yes it is true. Lots of normal pen but no cits. Tried it in trakning room. Although it was lexington's ap bomb but i doubt it would change result significantly
@@shinsekai101 the AP bombs don´t change as far as i know. The planes get faster, more tanky and all but the bpmb is the same.

Aside from the tankiness, is there any good about Kurfürst now? I feel that it pays a lot for the turtleback, which is good only at brawl ranges, hydro and......what else? Really o don’t know how to feel about the Kurfürst being the E100 of the sea She just eats damage and has unreliable guns, meh to terrible maneuverability despite the decent speed and all other things Also, I hate how the meta forces every single BB to go the same build I really hate that

I miss the days when we had such a small number of ships and the GK wasn't a terrible ship. Ya know, when the game was actually good. Well... rather better than it has turned out to be. It is so hard for me to willingly play it anymore... I truly wish I knew what happened and who was to blame for it.

I have cit'd a GK with a republic before, it can be done.
Has to be long range. At that range turtleback kicks in and its pretty much impossible to cit GK.

Aim's for citadel which means even though German secondaries have a good penetration they're absolutely fucking worthless and shatter on full broadsides.
Cant hit shit even with manual secondaries.

i agree...but some secondary addons are useful such as AFT and range upgrade.
even without manual they hit about 10% of the time, sometimes more or less depends on target size.
fire chance is useful, as well as dmg vs weaker ships. accuracy will make them hit other parts of ship that are NOT citadel more often.
going full secondary is a total waste as u lose a LOT of captain points AND a major firepower boosting upgrade, not to mention the need to target every ship manually AND u wont be able to use both side secondary guns.
so adding a minor invenstment for secondary focused ships can be worth it...just dont rely on it.
also the fear factor is significant when enemies get close, especially for DDs who really dont like it.
- Maybe use auxiliary mod 1
- Pens cruiser plating with IFHE at medium range
- With manual, hits roughly half shots
- Shreds DDs
I gave a GK yesterday a cit with my Yamato,don't know how I did that
It's rare but it happens, I've even citadelled Conquerors. You need a ton of luck tho with hitting the right pixel when waterline is slightly lower than usual.
At 24 km a Republique can citadel a GK. I did it yesterday twice on one.

@@jelli4562 I think the AP shells just slip under the turtleback and while they loose a lot of penetration when they hit the water the shell completely avoids the belt and turtleback and hits tge citadel with enough pen to enter it..
for the milionth time.. The AP bombs dont citadel GK... so you are safe

IMO 420s are more spicy option, even tho their DPM is worse on paper. The increased pen makes difference.
