  • Welcome back or indeed welcome to the channel. This is the third video from the Wayne's World of Wheels Supercar trip to the North of Scotland. This leg was from Applecross which is the highest road in the UK down to the Gleneagles hotel via Fort William and of course the A82 at Glencoe.
For most of this leg I managed to get my hands on the A110R the most hardcore Alpine A110 on sale today. Ended up with a bit of a comedy mishap but still a tremendous day.

Glad to learn the key lesson through you as opposed to doing it myself! Good to hear your thoughts on the R, really is a great looking machine. My car is Alpine Blue like yours but is the S as opposed to the GT. Cheers, Kevin

I'm a big fan of the classic Alpine blue. No huge difference between the S and GT. The S is a bit firmer and more focussed but perfect for roads like these. It's an expensive lesson indeed lol

@@Goingplaces110 I was looking to buy a GT but the 0% offer last quarter and the positive reviews meant all the GTs were sold out. I took a punt on the S not being as firm as some motoring journalists had said - given I'm a past owner of an M2 Competition (firm ride personified) the S is absolutely fine thankfully! Still running it in but looking forward to enjoying the full performance, the CUP2s provide amazing levels of grip but I'll need a plan come the winter :) Cheers, Kevin

@@kevinmcg6747 indeed. The S is firmer than the GT but a lot more forgiving than an M2. The weight is the main thing. A rarity in modern cars
