The UK NIN Enrolement Centers website are all down minus one the OIS Center at Fleet Street London who claimsit doesn't offer NIN services. BL there is no accessible NIN UK Centre.
The sad thing is, in a few years time, someone is going to come up with a new idea regarding this same issue, sell it to the government, and make Nigerians go through the same stress again. How many times do we need to give our details for ID cards, voters cards, BVN, sim registration etc? Even driver's licences keep getting changed every few years.

Care to explain a bit more what you meant by this?
Case in point: I had pre-enrolled previously but never did the capture at the time in my case. So, just wondering what your story was as to why you didn't have yours at the time but a telco could help you out.

You are correct. The same here, I just check again now. it's bringing up log-on and password without the option of register.

@@jozefinaplonska5042 unfortunately, I gave up. I was in Nigeria this past December, so I got it done at the one of the various NIN vendor centers.
Check if they got phone numbers and go to the office
lol this! The partner sites in England sound like someone woke up and made up services to seem legit to be running this process. Their sites make no sense and in relation to this NIN rubbish, they are not informative. Sad really. Nothing is ever simple with Nigeria and its high commission. Online applications yet, print out this and that. Visit a center, yet pre enrol then fill out a manual form there. Joke really.

@@SholaEsther I believe so because an expired passport/visa was acceptable during the BVN registration. An expired visa should not be their concern but proving that you are Nigerian is. I hope this helps but if there is a contact, do give them a call for clarification. Good luck

What is the problem with Nigerians? We alway want to make life hard for others. The registration process for diaspora is $50. We have two centers in Chicago. I called Ola one of the agent. He said it is $70 because there is no slot to book data processing online. If you book online is $50 and if you work-in is $70. Adanna another agent said is $80, $50 for registration and $30 for processing fees.
Honestly it’s not just our politicians, some Nigerians on the streets are worse. Unfortunately some Nigerians see every situation whether good or bad to enrich themselves- COVID for instance. I don’t know why we can’t have a universal fee for NIN. It just shows Nigeria will never get better.

The website for the Atlanta one is not even doing nothing when u push book appointment is not moving at all plus it shows location that is in Abuja so I thing I will just wait for a while

I tried it doesn't work. I have tried twice. I got stopped on next of kin. It won't accept int passport number of next of kin. It only accepts next of kin's NIN.
For those in the diaspora, when you go to an enrollment center and if you have a BVN, make sure that you let them know because a number is already reserved for you. If you do not tell them that you have a BVN, they will not have any record of your enrollment at Abuja and you will wait for months without a NIN. This is what happened to me and I have to pay $50 twice.

@@brightmaxwell3896 do you have a BVN? And if you do, did you let them know at the enrollment center? This may be the cause of your problem . If you have BVN, a NIN has already been reserved for you so you need to go back to the enrollment center and let them know. Hope this helps.

Funke. Please don't apologize. It's not your fault. All this BVN, NIN, Simcard bureaucratic nonsense is the fault of the disorganization in the relevant Nigerian entities involved.

Hi Sassy, I have applied online for a new passport since January 2021 and have paid but there's no way to book an appointment. After the payment I received an email saying that I have to go to Nigerian embassy in London for my enrolment but on the Nhrc website it's boldly written that they will attend only to those with an appointment.

Thank you Funke for this. Unfortunately nothing works, pre enrollment link doesn't connect, the websites of the service providers in New York are not functional . When you try to use the forms on contact us, it doesn't go through. Did I add that it is a 5 hour drive (one way) to get this done? It is a pity Nigeria is set up to frustrate Nigerians.

If they are gonna do this, then they should do it for all states in the various countries because I don't understand how someone in New Orleans will need to travel to a state that does this just for biometrics.

I submitted and paid for my passport renewal since March and my appointment date is June. I didn’t have a NIN as at that time but finally been able to do it yesterday. It’s however not allowing me edit my application online to include my NIN number. Please what do I do? I have done my NIN enrolment befor and I have a slip which I collected then carrying my number. Is that one I did still valid cos I have not gotten the original ID card? Please clear me on this and how can I get the original if the one I have is still valid?
It should still be valid. You are only entitled to one NIN

I went to Nigerian high commission today to renew my passport. It turns out that I need an NIN number. I have been trying to enrol for this. The pre enrolment form is not working, their phone number keeps going to voicemail. I will see if I can walk in to the office tomorrow. Wish me luck

I don't know what else to say but I plan to travel to Nigeria this December so I tried to renew my expired Nigerian passport but they said that I needed the NIN to renew it. I went to one of the enrolment centers here in Baltimore, Maryland USA and enrolled since March 4, 2022. Am still waiting for it. I have called Abuja several times and the phone was ringing but no one was picking up. I emailed NIMC, no response. NIMC site said that you should get your NIN in 1 to 5 days. Mine is going to 2 months now and I don't understand what the problem is. I did my BVN without issues. I simply do not know what else to do. Any suggestions from you or anyone that is subscribed to your channel? Thanks.

@@ogbonnagracennenna9726 But remember, you have to register online and pay $50 registration fee. If you have BVN, make sure that you take the number with you. I think they open on Tuesday and Thursday.

Thanks for this diaspora info. Just out of curiosity, what if your Nigerian passport has expired? But then again, I can't renew my passport without a NIN, which again, I may not be able to get with an expired passport. On top of the new 9ja policies for sending money from the U.S. to Nigeria, this whole thing is giving me an ulcer! THE WAHALA IS JUST TOO OVERWHELMING AND MAKES ME WANT TO SCREAM AND CRY! 😢
@ q stuff I believe like the BVN you require your Nigerian passport( valid or not) to prove you are Nigerian. Some High Commissions/Embassies are not opened at the moment due to restrictions/lockdown. Good luck

So the definition of diaspora is just 21 countries? Thanks for the effort but the info is not useful for many Nigerians outside those selected countries
The annoying part is that even in the selected countries, it will cost thousands of dollars and loss of at least a day’s work and pay to transport your family to the few cities with enrolment centres and Nigeria is not doing anything for me to deserve that sacrifice. Look at Canada for example.

It is an identification number for Nigerians just like Social Security # in the US.

Yes, if you are a Nigerian and will be using the Nigeria passport to travel to Nigeria. If you don't intend to use the Nigeria passport to travel and will not or never be doing any business in Nigeria, no bank account, then there is no need for you to get NIN.
