for anyone wondering this is the dance the producers of dance moms saw the week before they made abby do electricity (and yes the producers did force abby to do it they said they would fine her if she didn't do electricity because abby knew it would cause controversy just like this dance did plus they even got the same costumes but in blue)
Electricity was based on this dance, the “fierce west coast” girls she was talking about is them doing this dance in the actual competition, Abby even got the same costumes just in blue as she knew it would cause just as much controversy as this dance did.

So they did electricity and saw how much the show blew up and decided to force abby to do the fantastic dance

Our studio had one dad for every dancer and they were always there usually building props and we were no different than this. You clearly don’t know the difference between the dance world and the real world. My daughters coach was a man, she trained under him from age 2-18. He’s a retired professional and very well known in the industry. He in fact has 2 of his own daughters and 3 sons. Both of his daughters danced with mine and this dance and these costumes are no different than what ours were when this video got all the Karen’s into an uproar. People are so quick to judge something they know nothing about and have no experience doing. It always kills me when people like you are so free with their opinions to tell everyone else what’s good and not good for their children. And most of those people have never raised children. Our kids were these girls ages when this all happened. It’s was ridiculous then and 15 years later I see it’s still ridiculous. This is the problem with our society. People don’t know where their line ends and someone else’s begins. It’s no one else’s business what kind of dance nor what these girls wore back then except their parents. Oh and by the way if you dig deep enough you’ll find an interview with one of these dancers fathers who also has the same opinion. Have a good day.
