We need whole battles to analyse , learn and become better. These videos are what make the community. We respect D-koy's decision but as an artist, this shouldn't be happening. This shouldn't be allowed in a competition that takes place on a global level. We need more rules and regulations regarding the casting and everything. Better implementation and corrections. I'm so bummed out by this and it isn't even my fault.
i think that there was a contract of sort that dictates the rounds being published but SBX has the right to do what they want. What they did here was out of respect for the artist even though they could publish it against their will. I think what they did here was appropriate and should not be a big matter. Being on the GBB stage is a BIG thing but to pull out in this manner is even more of a hit to the artist. Its not just about what the viewers wants but what the artists feels as well.

If it does please let me know because I am just confused and a little bit disappointed after all the time I looked forward to the battles

I respect D-Koy’s opinion, but not his decision. Swissbeatbox should have the artists sign away their rights to the content created on that stage. All of the money and effort put into GBB is to create an experience and content that will grow the brand, and artists pulling content from GBB devalues that content greatly. As time goes on and GBB and others grow, I feel their professionalism will grow as well, and this kind of stuff (content delays and artists pulling content) won’t happen, superficially at the least.

As far as I know, they do own the content created but still they respected D-Koys decision and willingly didn’t include his rounds. But still, an artist should most definitely have the rights to their content, it’s almost scary that you and so many would think otherwise. Yeah sbx gave them a platform but at the end of the day it’s their art. Sbx should have some say but the ultimate say should go to the artist. I’m glad sbx respected D-Kohl’s decision even if I don’t understand what he based it off of.

He did all of that because he really wants to be a part of the event, nothing is forced, he did all by himself. Now after everything is set and done he will decide not to be involved in SBX / GBB and he wants to remove all of his videos because he thinks sbx is a bad organisation...
Yep, and that puts things into perspective. Imagine putting in a decade of time and effort, sacrificing friends and family for your craft, finally making it into the event and being able to perform. He wants his videos to be out there for the world to see more than any gbb viewer whining in the comments!
Yet he still decided to cut ties after all of that. Makes you think what was it exactly that came to his knowledge that made him do this. Same with vocodah. Dkoy said theres several things wrong with the organisation, a lot of it is not even public. So its not just about the sexual harassment that happened recently. There is a lot more. I honestly trust Dkoy. He has nothing to gain from doing this. Gbb is like every beatboxers dream, if anything this hurts his own art that he devoted his life to.
I respect D-Koy's decision and his reasons for disassociating with Swissbeatbox, but in my opinion I believe this to be very unfair of him on Zer0, despite Zer0's rounds still being shown, though for all I know Zer0 may be perfectly fine with this. At least we get to see Zer0's rounds I guess, but this does feel odd.

They must force them to sign a contract in which they cannot ask for their battles or rounds to disappear. All they do is destroy the competition and leave unfilled gaps in battles.
They probably could with no legal reprecussions, I imagine they agreed bc of huge amounts of community pressure to "be better". Disregarding dkoys wishes would be a bad look.

Everyone respects D-Koy's wish to not show his rounds, but you cannot take the viewer's frustration away. People accept this because there is no other alternative than just going with the flow of what is being released. I think this is a good lesson for the organizers to sign a contract with the artists, before they perform, where Swissbeatbox gets all the rights for the recorded performance of the artists, so that these situations don't take place. If someone does not want to sign, they don't perform. If they don't want the recorded performance to be released after the competition, thought luck for them.
Utsav you have no idea what it takes to put these shows on and how the justice system works. Don't watch any Swissbeatbox videos ever again if you're going to disgrace this awesome org like this.

@UC7CB759wbs2iWww5XBDM5_g The only thing I can say is - was there any contract broken by either of the sides? If so - one of the sides has the right to take the case to court. I really don't like to see things as "right" or "wrong". All the artists are grown up people and should read the contracts before signing them or not agree on certain terms / negotiate them. If they don't come to an agreement, then they don't perform. If Swissbeatbox doesn't provide a contract, they should ask for one that has all terms provided. We are in the XXI century, nothing works based on a "word" anymore.

@@xc-somya8606 I do, i was here in stream, and record my reaction to it so i still got d-koy rounds/solo elims and others who aren't uploaded by SBX, but for me Zer0 takes the win here, obviously the chest base with the whistle of d-koy is insane, but i think that is style is just too much repetitive and he just base it on this sound. Zer0 was more powerfull and dynamic on this, that's what you want to see in a battle, which one make the crowd go crazy. Still gg for d-koy here and respect is wishes, 4-1, but i stuck with the 1 on this.
Sinceramente me gusta mucho el Beatbox como espectador, esperaba esta GBB igual de impresionante que las anteriores. Entiendo lo que sucede internamente ya que solo leyendo comentarios uno se entera fácil y mi opinión es que se entiende todo y se respeta pero no entiendo porque suben el contenido de esta manera, esto mata por completo el contexto y el concepto del torneo, en mi opinión debieron esperar a que se solucione todo y luego subir la batalla cuando el artista este conforme, pero ver esto en este "formato" no tiene sentido para mi. en fin espero y se solucione todo pronto porque que aburrimiento (opinión personal).
El problema es que D-koy ya tomó la desición de desvincularse por completo de sbb, por lo que no quiere que salgan sus rondas, arruinando así 2 batallas, y muy buenas batallas, es una pena, ojalá cambie su desición a futuro porque no sólo es el el afectado con esto, también su contrincante, se entiende el porqué la desición pero por respeto creo que debió dejar sus rondas de batalla por respeto a su rival.

I agree they need to be a lot better about the situation, but dkoy/vocodah are mainly disappointing thousands of people who've waited for this event/didn't even get to watch the livestream. Please make participants sign a type of contract to avoid these type of scenario before assisting to the GBB. It's a let down if we can't see the battles properly. Otheriwse don't let them participate in the GBB it's annoying. Participants should know that they are exposed to any kind of criticism when there is people and the cameras are rolling.
You should check out D-Koy’s stream, it has nothing to do with criticism. It’s about distancing himself from a company (SBX) that he believes is corrupt from his experiences as an organizer, a participant in GBB, and I guess whatever stories from ppl that he has heard. He doesn’t give details which is annoying but understandable, he j tries to clarify why he did it
If you don't want to be a part of this organization , just don't be a part of the future of it. Let people watch your rounds bro. You not only giving a damage to the organization. You giving a damage to your opponents and your fans , beatbox fans... My English is not great but I hope you guys understand me.

Which is exactly what the vocal minority want you to believe, the reality is that the problem is just with humans. The beatbox world is now facing the same problems which have faced many industries and entertainment entities around the world, it just feels a lot harder for people to take in this frame because Beatbox is seen as being very inclusive.
Big businesses, Hollywood, The gaming industry and so many other sectors of humanity have faced the same problems which are now being faced in the Beatbox world and the only thing they all have in common is the human factor.
