They definitely nailed the look of it. Wallet is supposed to remain shut to new rigs, but dang it's got my attention. I don't know what I would do with it, but it sure would like nice on the shelf.

Pretty cool looking truck and not a bad price point.. Personally I prefer the platinum body but the sliver wheels from the blue truck.

It needs light buckets... I have that RC4WD trailer that this would be perfect to pull with... but the stickers for windows and no lights kind of kills it

That running footage was high speed gearing on 3S? Looks pretty quick and stable.
Yeah, high speed on a Lihv 3s - stock gearing (which is quite small - like a 9/10t). It easily flips around without rolling.....but once in a drift, it wants to keep drifting. Going down the straights, it's really stable - faster than I thought it would be. Need to tighten the slipper, possibly. Thanks for stopping by, John!
This has a lot of potential, and I think that's the most important part. Hopefully they'll release a kit version of the chassis, because with all the bolt holes running along the frame you could mount anything anywhere. It's solidly middle of the road for a $370 RTR, but the potential the truck has is really good, especially with such a large frame
I think "potential" is the perfect way to describe this!
Rich, if you what that chrome front and rear bumper, you could always heat and pull off the decals in the area, mask it off then do a ps or pactra black base coat then spazstix mirror chrome over it. As long as its not getting bashed, it should hold up

You'll need to re-inforce the bed if that's where you plan to mount it. The lean body probably can't withstand holding a trailer

Fun fact, on the 2017-19 f450s (year range this truck is) in the king ranch, platinum and limited trim levels, body colored bumpers are standard, chrome comes standard on xl stx, xlt and lariat, regular xl has a black bumper. Just thought I'd let ya know 😂

I like the blue one better. I wish there was a 2wd version of this that could be lowered and tuck the wheels inside the fenders. I'd use it to tow a Traxxas Spartan boat on a BigDog 1/10 scale Triple Axle Boat Trailer
You can probably just disconnect the front center driveshaft to accomplish that....tucking the tires might be tough though
I have no idea why this truck appeals to me; really don't have a use for it....but it's cool! Looks pretty quick. Any idea of speed?
On 3s LiHV, I'd say about 30mph out of the box - it's pretty decent for the brushed Mabuchi motor it comes with on a very small pinion (it's like a 9 or 10t)

The Blue myself between the two just think the wheels just aren't shinny enough for that blue... The thought of setting that up to pull a goose neck or a 5th wheel car hauler to haul all your other smaller rc cars or pull your rc jet boat,sea doos yup lots to work with there Thanks for Reading PEACE

I think the Blue looks better ( although i hate the blacked out windows ). I'd Move the rear wheels in so they looked more scale. Also the wheels are too big & give it that Donk look. Defiantly needs bigger tires.
I'm a big fan of Blue in general....and CEN picked the perfect Midnight Blue. I agree on the rear wheels

Looks decent. I would've rather had seen this as a kit. The electronics look like they're rebranded MST. The radio and esc were a dead giveaway.
Unfortunately, Kits these days really narrow the audience down. I'm a kit guy too, but not many are these days
@@TheRCNetwork There are plenty of kits out there. It's all we had back in the 80s and 90s. I think anyone in the hobby should build at least one kit as a rite of passage. Kits are also useful because when your vehicle breaks, you know exactly how to fix it.

High end trucks are typically color matched so Cen Racing did the right thing, chrome isn’t in style at the moment.

Yeah, I'm sure it came down to price of the license and how well it would sell. Typically you see Ford, then Chevy and finally Dodge in the battle for licensing

the love for chrome bumpers in the USA is something i don't understand :p
I hate chrome personally....my last two trucks had zero chrome!
I hate chrome as well unless it's on some old 50s or older cars.
Don't really care if it's an "officially" licensed product .
Something that is just a 'truck' with 'wheels' but higher quality (say) shocks is more appealing to me.
There's two different crowds on this.....many people like the scale bodies fro replication, as they can easily upgrade the shocks/other parts.....

But I would rather any monies spent on development went on improving the truck rather than being spent on licenses.
Some (like me) are out of work, through no fault of their own (long sad story), and haven't got bottomless pockets to 'upgrade' any time they feel like it.
As good as possible out of the box for me. Surely best truck possible then add a scale licensed body (availlable seperately if wanted.

Open diffs and link mounts that hang way down, as a huge CEN owner and scale truck fan I don't understand how you could botch a new release so badly. Just like it's big brother this one is only meant for scale mall crawling only.
It's not meant to be a crawler....the whole time I was filming, I had to remind myself that. But you have to admit seeing it drive is the best part! It's a great platform for other builds like military stuff too.
Thanks for the review, great video, but the Ford seems pretty average, the body does not have enough detailed scale, and nothing impressive down under either, another high end toy grade RC.
