Adding My Frogs to their New Tank!

- As promised in yesterday's video (link below if you missed it) here is the footage of adding my Dendrobates tinctorius poison dart frogs to their new bioactive vivarium. Just as I had hoped, they absolutely love their new home! They're always exploring all over and finding new places in the leaf litter to hide in. SO CUTE. Since I enjoy watching them so much, I figured you guys would too, so I hope you enjoy this footage-heavy video of the frogs just being frogs!
p.s. As you may have noticed in the video, they all have names now - Pixel, Vector, Widget, and Byte. :)

I love how they move so sharply, they either stay totally still or jump around like the person who owes them money just tried to sneak past them!

Hello Jennie, awe how adorable are they. 😄. They did know Mommy had a new surprise for them. They could tell by your excitement and you had their old containers. They aren't stupid.
You could just imagine them thanking their Mommy for their new home in froggy paradise.
You should have a live cam on them. I said the same thing to another you tuber from Canada. His name is Mike and has reptiles and his frogs in his room in the basement. Having a senior moment and can't think of his last name😐. Starts with a T.

Jenny you getting these dart frogs was so amazing 8 months ago. It had caused me to start researching bio active and dart frogs and a month after you got yours I set up my first bio active 40 gallon breeder and got 4 azerous tinctorious. They have been thriving and growing and have opened my eye to new ways of animal care. I.E. bio active. Thank you for your passion you put into your animals and your channel. Keep up the great work.

And I thought their quarantine tank was nice!! They seem to absolutely love the new home :) And it's beautiful! I love the orchid (?), I really hope that it stays alive, it's so pretty and it really ties the whole vivarium together. The entire setup is just AMAZING!
Also, did you get a new camera? The shots of the frogs are so clear, I'm loving it :)

Just a suggestion, try flipping the phalonapsis upside down because it will rot out its crown from the moisture. They hang upside down in nature. Love the new set up Jenny.

I’ve had darts for 4 years know they live in a glass terrarium with inch water in bottom of tank with moss on top and a log and plants I keep a bin with fruit fly in there tank at all times. Just add new apple or bananas chunk each week. There tank rains all bye it’s self. There bye a window so they get natural light.

Your little Poison Dart frogs are so much more curious and active than my two big Green Tree frogs but mine are more active at night too. Love the tank setup!!
My whites tree frog is very active at night. We watch him climb as we fall asleep. lol

It looked like there was a water dish in the temp tank, but not in the main setup, you should get a large exo terra water bowl, I have a pair of Tinc Patricia's and they love to sit in the water dish and soak up the water through their butts (literally). If the dish is too low they will end up dragging A LOT of leaf litter into it, so if you add a dish try to elevate it off the leaves with a piece of slate or something.

Hi Jennie , I'm new to your youtube page & I'm already hooked & surprised at the amount of pets you have , you are the modern day Dr Doolittle haha , your trip to Tokyo was eye opening the fish markets was cool to see didn't think it was ever going to end every turn there was more and more shops selling anything and everything I never noticed any dead or injured fish there unlike the outside fish breeder , with so many breeds and amount they have you would think that one or maybe two fish could be ok on the morning but by midday fall sick or even die however the amount they had there was shocking in some it was spot the live ones its not as if they were busy there is no excuse to have so many dead and dying fish they could be forgiven if they were all in one quarantine tank and under treatment but they were everywhere I would hate it if I was a uk / usa buyer and he they were my supplier

not sure if anyone has mentioned it but you have to get a slow motion clip of your frogs eating the fly`s did anyone notice how they have become friends and talking to each other by tapping there finger on there back leg , not sure if this breed waves to each other , you could make a wkd music video with the actions of all your animals .

One frog was flicking one of the toes on its hind leg very quickly. What is the purpose of that? Very cool tank!!
It's to vibrate the ground & scare any bugs into moving. To the frogs, if it's not moving, it's not edible.
I was wondering that too.
By doing that the insects thinks it is raining so they come avove ground and then the frogs can eat them. So for the insects yhe flicking feels like raindrops hitting the ground.
It has nothing to do with scaring prey to eat or make prey think it's raining...🤣🤣 it's a tell that the frog is getting excited about feeding it's a healthy sign that all is well at feed times.
