That’s the true reality of living in Thailand brother, and your vlog was dam straight up honest and how it really is, what patients you both have, I would have lost my sh#@,my wife is also Thai and the patients she has when we are back in issan is unbelievable, great vlog Nat, good to see you all, I don’t comment much but I’m always watching, cheers mate
Hi Natt and Camilla. I am a dual Thai and American who has lived in the US since the age of two. My Thai passport and Thai ID card had expired so I thought I could renew them at the Thai Consulate in Los Angeles. No, I was told that in order to renew my Thai passport, I had to fly to Bangkok to renew my Thai ID card first! Once in Bangkok, I had to change the address on my ID card because it was my cousin's address who no longer lived there. To make a long story short, I kept getting bounced between district offices and getting the round around! Each district office would give you a different story and accuse the other offices giving out bad information. Fortunately, at that time, I had a Thai girlfriend who worked for the Thai government, she was shocked to why it was so difficult for me to renew my Thai ID! This was the time of the Prime Minister elections and my girlfriend said the workers at the District Offices were probably suspicious of me because I had no records of living in Thailand. No shit, I've lived in the US for 99.99% of my life and I told the workers at the District Offices that! I showed them my American passort as proof and I even had my original Thai birth certificate! Anyway, my girlfriend made a couple of calls to her District office friends, and I was able to get a new ID card which allowed me to renew my Thai passport. It was a freaking two day ordeal! From now on, I will never let my Thai ID card expire before renewing it in Los Angeles!
Bureaucratic workers in Thailand are known for their sluggish work. When people label them as such, they are not happy about it. What else can be said about them? It is truly the most inefficient working organization that exists in the nation.
mine expired 2009 i went back this year to renew and got the card within 15 minutes, all i did was give them the thai id that expired. i have lived in the uk since i was 10 so 22 years so to speak
@@OmNooey369 - I left at 2 yo and I am now 56 yo.
You thought about not using a agent as your doing all the work you should do everything yourself just look up everything you need
@@OmNooey369It depends on which immigration office you went to. Of course the one in BKK is the worse.
Gosh, I feel the pain. Wish you guys the best and get it done soon.
What a nightmare 😮😢 hope you will get it sorted next week 👍 ❤
You should send them your family vlogs, absolutely a caring together family
Ahh bless you, Mary! 🙏 Thank you so so much for the PayPal gift, that's so very kind of you and we really appreciate it, especially at a time like this! Thank you! 🙏😊
I lived in Thailand for twenty years. Imagine how sick of visas I got.
you guys are smashing it! good luck!
And here's one of the negatives of Thailand, bureaucracy. I wish you guys lots of luck but it's these kinds of things that people don't consider when comparing pros and cons.
Good luck guys. It is probably the same for Thais trying to get things done.
Bingo. They’re just a little more resigned about it, because it’s the norm.
Stay strong guys.
Hope you get it sorted soon
Awe my goodness you guys are going through a lot. Talk about changing hoops and hurdles for you to go through and get over. It’s a nightmare I have everything crossed you get it sorted ASAP 🤞🏼
Wow feel for you both especially with your daughters having to wait around. Hope it all gets sorted soon! 🙏🏽
You should just have gone to a Thai Embassy to get her NON O Marriage visa, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia or Malaysia. Just book appointment online. Much easier than doing it in Thailand.
good luck native your a great family love your content hope it all works out mate
Sending lots of positivity your way, hope you can get your visa soon.sounds like a nightmare
I feel your pain. What a nightmare. Good luck. This a real test on your relationship ( as all couples face at times). Be patient, treat each other with humor and respect. You will both persevere 👍🏽🙏🙏🙏
Fingers crossed 🤞🏻
Been there. Done that. Got the emotional scars. 555
In my first 10 months in Thailand while working at a college, I made THIRTEEN trips to the Thai embassy in Vientiane, Laos to get my Immigration-B visa sorted. Every bloody time, they came up with something new that I needed. I spent 50,000฿ in transportation, food, hotels, making copies and application fees. It was a bureaucratic hell.
For what little consolation it may be, you’re not alone on this hamster wheel. (Lots of activity, but running around in circles.)
Hang in there mate. Im sure it can be really frustrating. Once you get thru first time, hopefully future renewals should be more straight forward.
Oh no I thought the visa would be sorted by now. I hope Camila will get her visa soon. 🤞 loves of love ❤
Good luck 🤞
What a nightmare, but TIT. Sorry to hear the painful chapter in your life. No doubt you can fix it 🙏
Hope you got sorted . Complex can be avoided british system, the best. Hope you guys are okay xx🥰🌟🩷👍
Hi Natt Camilla good luck guys ❤❤❤
Breathe! 😢. Stay strong, sorry for what you guys have to go through😢
I can truly sympathise with you both re:-paperwork (obviously not the same), however, I’m dealing with that in regards to my parents re health going forward😢
Sending prayers, strength, and much luck and blessings 🙏🏼🙏🏼👍🏼😘.
I thought you had a stroller to push around the girls? Might help😊 take care😊🙏🏼
I understand first hand the stress and worry over visa applications with trying to get my Husband into the UK. It's ridiculous the amount of paperwork involved and the £££. But try not to worry, you will be out of this situation soon and back to enjoying the Thai life 🙏
That's why I always used an agent here in Thailand when it comes down to anything, licenses, my visa, etc. Even when I lived in the Philippines where getting a visa is fairly easy, I always use an agent there as well.
Damn guys , you are doing so good , id have just lost my mind 😕
Nightmare, I feel for you guys, keep going!
Nearly every farang goes through this anxiety and tension with Thai visa imigration when renewing or extending visas by themselves.Maybe by making it anxious tedious and stressful they want you to go through an agent even though you can do it yourself .
Hi Keep battling on you will get there although getting expensive. My immigration dept in Sukhothai are excellent and although there is loads of paperwork I have no issues in the last 2 years without an agent. I even get visits to my home from the immigration officers which is great if you have any questions. They just fill a form in I sign it then they take some photos ✅
I am a member of some thai visa groups on face book with people usually asking the same questions.
I do the marriage visa also it’s such a pain and the trouble is you have to do it every year. You can understand the first year but not every year
Nat & Camila once you do get this visa sorted, as exhausted as you may be, just write down a list of all the requirements you needed, it'll make it so much easier when you renew next year 👍
Next year? The first NON O Marriage visa she will get is for 90 days, then she will need to extend for another year 45-60 days later.
@vneedham no if you go on a Non-O visa you're then applying for a yearly visa. Definitely don't need all these documents if applying for a non-o 90 day visa, maybe there's is different somehow.
@@rickyisaan Sorry your wrong mate, she will get a 90 day NON O Marriage visa first, then she needs to extend for a year.
Damn. I thought for woman with Thai man would be lot easier. I have no problem EVER with my visas. Only married visa needs lot paperwork every year.
Which visa are you applying for
Marriage visa or something else?
Eventually, I will apply for either a marriage visa or a retirement visa, depending on my available funds.
Have your two pigs from Ryan & Mo had piglets yet?
My wife and I had the other eight pigs (4 bores & 4 sows) from the same batch as yours.
Two of our sows have had piglets so far.
Good luck getting the visa sorted.
Did you print a copy of all those documents for yourselves? Just incase more to print out.
Sorry to hear that. Cant you talk to other expats there. Maybe they have an agent that fixes it straight away. Its probably chesper & less worry.
I am so sorry you going through this . I have retirement so no problems. My friend is married to thai and they need to make lots copies and fotos. Good thing is she not need to keep money in bank. Are you making marriage visa now ?
Go to key Visa in Pattaya I recommend them
OMG......😮
Natt and Cam, welcome to expat visa's from Thai immgration, you will get there, but you're going to get rinsed for baht. You need to do this stuff away from the tourist areas. I've done my own visa for a few years now, first visa was 7 visits to imigration, last time it only took 2. 3 copies of everyhing, using the 3rd as a template for next year. Its frustating to the point of being asinine, but once you've got there, you'll be fine, if not, next year I'll help you for beer money......I drink a lot.....lol
Dang, sounds like you have to make or find a friend in the immigration department to get this sorted out . I am afraid this may take a while and a whole lot more money to get done.
Not good crazy whats going on in Thailand now?
It was so easy before to get a visa
I’m sorry to hear about all your visa troubles. I watch a content maker. His handle is no time to be sad When he’s having hassles, he has a lawyer take care of it for him. It may be worth the money to have a lawyer handle your visa affairs their names are Chuck and Page. I know that he puts his lawyers phone numbers at the bottom of his video introduction whatever it is anyways in future you might wanna get this a try. I can’t remember how much did it cost to keep him on retainer, so when you do have a problem, it’s not going to cost you an arm and a leg but anyways, I’m hope this helps
Bureaucracy in Thailand is crazy now! Why???
" PETER ZEIHAN || Global concerns over US dollar dominance and potential risks of dedollarization "
I'm surprised you didn't just buy a printer/scanner and do it yourself.
I always wonder... Have they not heard of scanners and document image processing. Almost everything is computerized and online. But still they want lots of photocopies with you signing each copy... When I go to immigration they have a room piled high with all these documents; what do they do with them? What is it for us to question the higher authority?
I also just renewed my UK passport in the UK. It was a breeze. Took a week. Took a photo of myself using my phone, filled the application in online, and posted off the old passport. A week later my new one arrived. Got an sms/email at every stage in the process. It was amazing and polished. Top marks to the UK for an excellent service.
They reuse that paperwork and give it to others. I got 4 papers from immigration, only the back of each was a different person's passport photocopy. Random people, all different nationalities. Talk about identity fraud issues!
yeh! I am Thai citizen who can get new passport in 1 day in Thailand.
@@muttikasilapachai6708 You can, it's great. But you need to pay a fee for this. You also need to physically visit the passport centre. Thailand is fast for passports it's true. However much of this is probably down to the low number of people applying for passports in Thailand considering overseas travel is outside the reach of many normal Thais.
Chok dee! 🙏🏽
🙏🙏🙏
Go to a agent
Live is too short mate
When you say 6 or 7 grand ,..is that Thai baht or UK pounds?
Baht thankfully 😅
From the 29th June she should get 60 days instead of 30 like it has been for many years.
The worst time of the year! Unfortunately immigration do make you feel like criminals even though you have the requirements. Absolute nightmare 😭 I hope all went through in the end 👍
that the way it should be!, otherwise thailand would da been stuffed like Europe, look what loose immigration policies done to Europe!
I hope you realise the first NON O Marriage visa you get from Bangkok Immigration will only be a 90 day visa. You will have to do the whole process again after another 45-60 days to get the one year extension.
Yes 👍
I have the same my thai wife in England omg it's all money now her daughter here more money running around for visa ...😮😮😮 I have a good agency from Thailand she is the best she will help you to if you need her let me know 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Sounds like a visa nightmare AAAAAAAA
Why you are not apply Thai citizen for your wife as I have told you many times.Get Thai marraige certificate and apply at Thai Police Special Branch ( กองบัญชาการตำรวจ สันติบาล แผนก 2 กแงกำกับการ 3 แผนกขอถือสัญชาติตามสามี)
I don't think that's possible
@@NativeFarang You will need to have been on a marriage visa for a number of years to do that. First step is to get a yellow "Tabien Bahn" and build up some kind of tax records. They require proof that you (husband) have been paying tax for a certain number of years. If you go to the Special Branch in Pathumwan they can give you a list of what is required and give you some advice.
@@sallylee1005 Yes, that's what we thought! It's not possible for us right now and that's fine, that's something we can sort out in the future! For now we just need the long-term visa 😊 But thank you for the information, that's very helpful and we'll take note! 🙏
Easier for my Thai wife to get a PR visa in Australia.
Is this for marriage visa?
And that includes 400,000 baht in the bank I believe but others have said having a Thai male spouse things are different. Yet to see that in writing though.
BREATH NAT N CAMILLA 🤣😤WONT BE LONG AND IT WILL BE ALL OVER 😤👏👏👌👍🎉
Cant someone on here help you?
I was lucky when I lived in Thailand. My school took care of my visa for me. They went to immigration with us and did it all and quick cause they had friends there.
worse system in the world should all be online
no I should not, it be very susceptible to fraudulent people to abuse it!
Guys, yep visas in Thailand are not fun.
I used an agent during my first year.
Now I do everything myself with the help of my Thai gf. It's a lot easier.
Mind you, the immigration office in Khon Kaen is very different from the one on Phuket.
Use an agent get to Pattaya and use one stop visa soi six
Is there a special reason why you didn’t apply for a marriage visa for Camila? I don’t understand why Camila had to use an educational visa vs a marriage visa? Could it be because you didn’t get your marriage document from the UK certified/apostille? If this is not done, highly suggest you find a way to get this done in order for you both to be recognized as a married couple in Thailand. It may be required for things such as medical, legal, financial, etc. Please keep us posted. What a lovely young family, hope all goes well for you.
When we first arrived in Thailand last year, I didn't have my Thai ID yet and we weren't married, so an education visa was the only one we could apply for to give us a year in Thailand to sort everything out. We are now married and I have my Thai ID, hence why we're changing visas now that the education one has expired 😊
@@NativeFarangI see, thank you for clarifying. It sounds like it should all be smooth from now on. 👍
If there is a Silver lining to this paper nightmare it's the exemplary attitude you both have. No where else in the world. One is left thinking it's all a cottage industry !
คุณเป็นชาติอะไร หน้าคนเอเชียเลยครับ😊
