The kidney shaped pool at / around 21:36 was where I learned to dive in 1971. After I returned to the states, because of this pool, I became a competition diver in school swim team. This video was wonderfully done and brings back many memories of my time & education living in Monrovia at American Embassy so long ago. Thank you.

One of the best attraction off Broad street and the place was amazing. I remember climbing those hills after school to pick my little sister up from B. W Harris Episcopal doing the era of 1982 wow! Life has change and someday I will visit Liberia again nice video.

Oh Ducor, the wonderful Ducor Palace Hotel. I recalled my Father, the late Roger Steele signed me up for swimming classes here. I took my first dive in the Ducor pool. I was a little tiny thing, 9 years old. It was riveting! I hope to return some day to my homeland. God bless Liberia, the sweet land of Liberty!

It's not likely that the GoL is going to renovate the Palace. They're going to have to work to attract foreign international investors. And right now with the scandals that are rocking the government that possibility seems even more remote. Pretty good video

Are there any nice buildings in Liberia? I know the country is war torn (which makes me sad... why do blacks have to always fight each other? These white people fall in line really quick to nation build. They are experts at it). But back to my question... Are there any nice buildings in Liberia? Anywhere? The entire country looks so destroyed? AND would any businessman be willing to invest in Liberia to build a five star or four star hotel and restaurant and business center? Or would the people just destroy that as well?
I am a black american. I've never been to Africa. But damn... why does so much of Africa have to look so destroyed? And now the africans are fighting to come to white countries which are run efficiently.

Which countries in Africa have you been to? I suggest you do your research. There are so many beautiful countries in Africa. Liberia is a very poor war torn country. The war that destroyed Liberia was caused by the same countries that you are praising that they are develop. The United States brought the war to Liberia by provoking the rice riot and creating more tension between the native and the Americo Liberian. All the conflicts that's going on in Africa right now are causing by the United Nations which is control by Europe and America. The west and America always bring wars to any country that doesn't work in their interest. The west continue to destabilize Africa because they know that if Africa was to unite and be completely peaceful, then Africa will be the most powerful continent in the world and black people will finally have their dignity back. But white people don't want to see Africa especially to unite and develop.
