Toyota Yaris/Echo coil packs worked well on our MX5, you can get brackets to mount them directly on. Full sequential ignition and injection means no wasted spark or bulk fuel being sprayed when it's not being squished and lit up for maximum skids. 0.8mm spark gap and one range colder doesn't hurt either.

Well the Sky Red Line is a two seater roadster and it has 300bhp but it need twin turbos to get there. Only problem is that it weighs about 800lbs more than Phil probably. I imagine Phil weighs 2200lbs and the Sky Redline is 3,000. The Sky can put up with 27+lbs of boost though, and has much better suspension. Though for what you'd pay for one you could make a beast of a Phil. I love both the MX-5 and the Sky and if I didn't need a back seat I'd have one. Instead I got an Aero 9-3.
Look up any of the videos of the Redline against Corvettes or GT Mustangs. Sucks it's a Saturn.

When Phil has more HP than my Veloster Turbo and weighs considerably less.. rip
A retune bumps the veloster to 245hp but you are right Phil is still lighter :D
yeah I know haha I'm trying to keep it mostly stock since its a daily and I can't afford a project atm. :P MPG > Power

I think it blew a cylinder. At the beginning they were happy that it was running on 4 instead of 3

James Franklin Engine knock can blow the top off of the cylinder. You can damage the cylinder wall, etc.

2:56 exact sound, exact turn, and then the engine didn't crank, happened to my 1998 accent. Took it to a friend, said EVERYTHING was rotten underneath... Fuel tank, pump, and a bit of the oil ceased.

It's quite obvious the car's gonna have so much problems, it's been modified to a turbo charged engine and it's been given so much boost that it's nearly impossible to handle for more than 1000 miles. Good luck with this car Alex

Which belts? I have that squeal! Timing belt, and/or??
IME, it's almost always the belt draping the alternator. Older cars with belt driven fans will do it, as well. And some cars have one belt that drives both. Either way, depending on the car, there's usually a way to adjust belt tension if there is not an automatic tensioner.
Get in there and give a good look at those belt(s) and see if they're old and cracked and/or glazed. Find the middle spot of the belt furthest away from any pulleys and check the slack with your finger. Should still move up and down, but with only a little play. (Kinda hard to quantify in text.) Good luck, it's kinda hard to help when you're trying to quickly reply to a CZcams comment. haha

That is a lot of power for a miata. Great job!
This episode taught me that a massive ebay china turbo kit and a junkyard 350 are much more responsive to boost than miata motors it was putting out 650 at 13 pounds and that was at like 3500 rpm

I had a BBR mk1 Turbo, tweaked and upgraded injectors etc and ran 9 psi and was totally reliable, rust killed her in the end but 120,000 miles and ran sweet as you like.
