I agree. Haggling the price on poor vendors but when they go to a big supermarket and buy the same, they don’t do that.
@Global Noise actually, the translations are wrong. the lady politely asked "is there no discount?", then the lady selling the fish said "no, ma'am, it's already cheap" and the lady in the car simply responded "alright". and she didn't ask for the extra fish as well, she actually said "there's extra?" the vendor said yes and she thanked her. I've seen a lot of translation errors from them. I'm not sure if they intentionally do it just to get people who don't speak the language riled up.
That women need to come in Switzerland to see if she become fish for cheap when go to store 😠 She makes me angry 😤
She's one great mother and a grandmother. She makes sure they have food to eat. She's very greatful. Great show Mark.
Nanay needs to get rid of her husband also her children who don't stop the abuse from happening and just watch. My mom is a wonderful grandmother but I would not let her raise my children. That's my job because she already did her part raising me.
Life is too unfair and painful for her, she have to carry all her family burden by herself.. She mentally n physically abuse but yet she is strong mentally n physically.. I salute her..God always by her side!bless her!

this poor woman! She gets abused by the fisherman, her customers argue with her for free food. Shes the only woman we have seen that her husband does not work and abuses her. Her children must have learned from the father because what are they doing that they are not bringing home any money. thank god they had no animals! Seeing the starving animals is painful. This woman and her grandkids were so hungry. Leah was fantastic ! ❤️

it really kind of brought a tear to my eye when she mentioned it was going to be the first time she and her grand kids will try embutido for the first time. I had it often and there were times where i was just "meh' about it and found something else to eat. but to see the joy on her face of eating it for the first time really opened my up my eyes. embutido in general (as some of you agree) includes ALLOT of ingredients to make (especially the one my mom makes). moments like these is why it is important to not take simple things for granted because there will always a person who wishes to be in the same position as you.

Those fish and shrimp are fresh alright. The irony is, when rich people buying from peddlers they sure really want to cut the price, and if possible, getting if for free. But when they buying at the mall or dining in a posh eateries, they readily give tips. Reason, to show off.

You can see how hard working she is , my mom is 1 year younger than her , I'm so sorry for her , my mom was abused by my dad as well but she split up from him and sometimes it's better to just be a single mom , I grew up in poverty as well , started working at 16 , I know how hard is to go to sleep with a empty stomach , people nowadays dont appreciate small things in life , nowadays kids want the most expensive phone and designer clothes , when I was younger , i received my parents old toys and clothes , and I've never looked at what brand that person is wearing . I hope her grandkids will get a better future with her, shes a strong and beautiful woman 💜

I used to give to a poor lady in town for over a year. I paid to fix her car, gave groceries, bought her kids clothes but had to stop when she finally admitted she let her husband take all her income tax return money of several thousand dollars and spend on whisky in just 4 months! Sad and exhausting but it’s in God’s hands either way😢🙏

Unbelievable the way the lady in the new car hustled the poor woman. Any time im in the Philippines, I intentionally over pay and tip heavy. Wtf does a few dollars mean to me but makes an enormous difference to poor woman or padre de familia working hard to feed a large family. I hope anyone that sees this then vacations in the beautiful Philippines, please be generous with the people.

I noticed that the water they drink is dirty wear. That's every poor house. If Mark would make them a make shift filter , you can make a cheap filtration by putting pebbles,and sand and charcoal. It works perfectly. That's at least free and cheap. Health is super important.

There is a can with a black tar that covers holes in the roof. Maybe they can get a can for those people with holes in the roof so the kids don't get sick from sleeping in the wet floor.

Where are the kids parents to take care of their own children? It seems that most of these films the grandparents are always taking care of their kids children, why? And usually it’s not one or two, it’s usually for a five or six kids for the grandparents to take care of. I wouldn’t let the kids do that to me and it’s unfair to the parents to take care of the grandkids, especially with no money, and no help

I wish she could leave her deadbeat husband and kids, and only taking her disabled son and grandchildren, and live on their own. I understand there are no jobs, but the husband, and kids can at least help the grandmother peddle so her days are shorter, or cook. But she does everything! She’s a saint. I’m sorry she has to deal with taking care of her entire family at her age.
