Williams Soaring Flight

This was my final flight during my time at Williams Soaring Center. Unfortunately, on take-off, I tried to raise the tail by pushing forward on the stick, and ended up scuffing the nose when the glider hopped off the ground at the same moment. But the rest of the flight went well. My longest flight in the Phoebus to date: 2h40min. Thermals were weak, averaging 1.5-2kt, under a mostly blue sky. Williams is a busy glider port, and you have to really watch out for other gliders, especially when you don't have FLARM. These older gliders are a bit more stiff in the ailerons, and the harmony between the controls is a bit "off", and takes some getting used to.
