Doki Doki Morning was my first prelude to the world of "BABYMETAL" when they performed outside of Japan 🇯🇵 for the first time in my hometown of Singapore 🇸🇬 at the 2012 ANIME FESTIVAL ASIA (AFAS) in November of 2012. Looking back on how much Su-Metal and Moametal have grown into stunning gorgeous adults from cute little cheeky teenagers. Of course, there is Yuimetal who every single Babymetal fan miss. How can you not love that little girl. Grown to a beautiful young woman i have no doubt. Hopefully we will see her again someday. Wishing her all the best in what ever she may do. As for Su and Moa and now Momo, they are equally loved but it is the absence of one that tips the scale's ever so slightly.

Why i don't like "SuiSui" and " "MoiMoi" expressions?
That part where Yui forgets her character role as Yuimetal, and mentions her real name Yui. After Yui was forced to retire due to an injury//injuries & stated in her letter to fans, that, she would like to see us again as Yui Mizuno. It says a lot about her genuine feelings about playing the role of Yuimetal. A character perhaps she didn't prefer all that much, or at all. Also, her frank honesty, & breaking character several, or more times on a televised variety show in Japan, again speaks to her sense of self, rather than The Chosen One, Reincarnated by The Fox God = Yuimetal.

Someone else may have commented in this and i missed it, but the segment where Yui stopped dancing for a moment and then danced with only one arm is when her ear monitor fell out. She picked it up and was holding it in her hand.
Seeing something was wrong, Moa started dancing with only one arm for the rest of the song as well so that Yui would not feel so awkward.

Funny ,, it lists SU metal only 1 inch taller than Moa, at 5'1" and Yui at 5'1" same as Su, but in every shot, *Su Metal is clearly at least 6 " taller than both !!!*
Yui's departure from the band is still a mystery. They said she would like to do "her things". Years have passed and where is Yui's solo work? When asked about this the answers are always vague and confusing. Anyway, we miss Yui, she will always be part of the band and we wish her all the best. But now what we have, sorry, is 2/3/ of BABYMETAL. Some of the magic has been lost.

Just a couple of things, there is a huge logo in the bottom left of the screen that prevents us from viewing the translation. Also, your head is in the way so we have no idea what was said.

RIP YUI Nobody even cares what happened to her. Sad.
The video left out the parts during Budokan Red Night after Yui fell off the stage that Su-chan had a look of concern on her face while singing the rest of the song and kept looking to her left for any signs to tell her Yui was okay. Cause Yui just basically disappeared and Moa sang solo for the rest of the song.
Yes, all of the Sakura Gakuin graduations tug at the heartstrings. And Su-chan being the one and only graduate that year poured the focus just on her as she carried the responsibility of not only student council president, but as the sole leader and support for all the other girls. Marina Horiuchi was assigned as the vice-president to help her out. Student council president has many responsibilities and Su-chan learned from her best friend and mentor, Ayami Mutou from the previous year, and from Karen Girls before Sakura Gakuin.
And yes, the bond between the three are strong that transcends much of what we can imagine. Hence the draw to all of the Sakura Gakuin girls as they are all taught and groomed to be strong 'sisters' who support each other through rivalry, difficult times, and emotional times.
I'm guessing they left that out for a reason as a lot of footage from Red Night can get blocked easily, plus, after watching that show myself, I bet it hits hard with a lot of fans and they don't want to relive that. Thanks!

I got into BM through the Kami Band rather than the girls / Sakura Gakuin, but I have to say that it is physically impossible for a member of the human race to be cuter than Yui, Moa, and Su were back in those days. Had a soft spot for Yui, and was hoping for a comeback, though Momoko certainly earned and deserved promotion to full metal status. Speaking of "Sakura", BM's agency Amuse has its Tokyo office in the Sakura Hills area of Shibuya Ward.

Hey DW, it's official, when it comes to Babymetal we're allowed to cry lol We've all done it. Every time I watch Akatsuki Unfinished I cry. Every time I watch Su graduation ceremony I cry, AND laugh. I cry because I see Moa so sad, but I laugh because I think right after, why you crying Moa??? You already HAVE Su with you all the time since you're a part of Babymetal! lol
In my opinion Yui was always very introverted and shy (in a way) but that’s probably why she fit so well since Moa was always the more outspoken and loving one.
The scene where she used only one arm was an incident with her mic transmitter that fell off, so she had to carry it with her hand for the rest of the song. Su tried to fix it but obviously that wasn’t possible.

Not sure I'd agree with Moa being the more loving one. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're trying to say. I WOULD say Moa was the more expressive one. So she WOULD show her love of Su more Ina more pronounced way, but then Moa is much more extroverted.
Yui absolutely idolized and loved Su very much. It was Su in the Karen band that helped Yui through her dark period. It was Yui's dream to dance with Su while singing a Karen Girls song together live. Yui's expressions of love are just much more subtle. That would be tied to her being an introvert and I still maintain she was also kind of shy. I myself have been "diagnosed"??? As an introvert by more than one psychologist. But when I have had to speak in public I'd be able to do it. Yui obviously CAN do it, but you can tell she feels very uncomfortable. That to me is more of a shy-person trait. So I think she's both shy amd introverted. I also think she expresses her love just as much as Moa, but in a more subtle way. Just watch in all those clips how Yui was almost like a puppy around it's mother. She was ALWAYS looking to Su for reassurance and guidance and support. She would always trust in Su more than herself. Just my opinion l, but that's how I see it as somebody who is introverted and used to be VERY shy. Now I'm much less shy, but still prefer to not be around people and would rather be alone most of the time.

@@Killem911 I kinda thought thats what you meant, but wanted to clarify. Yui created walls to protect herself (I think anyhow) because of her past with her family member almost dying and being in the hospital, but her not being allowed to visit the family member. She was still made to go to school while all this was happening, and with Japanese culture the way it is from what I understand, she had to put on a brave face and pretend like things are good. So she had to create a wall and became more reclusive. This is all speculation, but it is speculation from personal experience based on what I've seen happen in my life, and also from what I've seen from various other things I've helped others in the past go through.
@@jeremyboynowski3784 An example of their different personalities is at the end of the Stephen Colbert performance. When they are waving to the crowd, Moa has her arms up and open as if embracing the crowd. Yui has her hands in front of her chest as if keeping a barrier between her and the crowd. That plays into the more introverted/shy personality of Yui. However if you look at the early SG stuff Yui seemed much more extroverted.
I would like to see a little information released for the many Yui fans that still exist.

1. What is your best memory of Sakura Gakuin?
I have irreplaceable memories in all of the nendos, so I can’t choose the best one, but the one that comes to mind now is going on a surprise field trip to film the FRIENDS music video. We weren’t informed at all that we were going on the surprise field trip and reading letters we wrote to each other in pairs, so I was really surprised. It was really fun being able to go to the farm with everyone, so it’s one of my precious memories. I want to be pranked like that again, if the surprise is going to be that fun!
2. Things that make me laugh even now when I remember them
When I listen to Sakura Gakuin songs, my memories of the moments when I made eye contact with the members during that particular part come to mind by themselves, and a smile comes on my face automatically.
3. What is your favorite song of Sakura Gakuin and why?
Among the songs from when I was a member, my favorite is Yume ni Mukatte, which is full of my memories of all the nendos. Among the songs after I graduated, my favorite is Identity, whose lyrics and melody both resonate emotionally. I get really happy when a member suddenly contacts me saying there’s a new song. They tell me the lyrics first, and let me listen to the song. It’s a special privilege for graduates! (lol)
4. If you were to speak to yourself at Sakura Gakuin now, what would you say?
You’re doing fine! Carry on as you are!
5. What I learned during my time in Sakura Gakuin that I can use now
I think I’m making use of myself right now that has received courage and vitality from Sakura.
6. What do you envision a Superlady to be like?
A compassionate and dignified person.
7. Message to Sakura Gakuin on its 10th anniversary and to all the Fukei who have supported us
Thank you very much to all the Fukei-san who have supported us until now, and to everyone who has supported us. Until a few years ago, I was just singing otona ni kawaru mae ni (before we turn into adults) [lyrics in Magic Melody], but in the blink of an eye, I turned 20, and Sakura Gakuin has also welcomed its 10th anniversary. The childish times I spent with the members, the shokuin sensei who kindly support us, my kouhai who continue to pursue a new Sakura, the warm support of Fukei-san, all of these things give me a lot of encouragement. I’m filled with gratefulness to everyone I met until now. I want to smile my best to make use of what I learned in Sakura Gakuin in my life from now on. It’s sad to think about, but… please continue to support Sakura Gakuin until its culmination in summer. Once again, thank you very much!

I guess I needed a good cry before going to bed. Great video and a great reaction. I haven't watched Su's graduation because I can't even get through the bits and pieces of it I have seen, lol. The bond between Su and Yui is there. It is just a bit more subtle than Su and Moa's. Yui might be gone physically but, she is still there spiritually and I feel she always will be. Long live The Tomato Princess!

Love Yui and all of Babymetal. Su is a great vocalist, but her leadership skills really bring me to tears. It’s a long video, but Su’s graduation interview at Tower records has many great portions that illustrate her as a leader. Yes Su’s graduation video and especially her Surprise Graduation video from SG is outstanding, but hard to watch without crying. Nendo tests are a must. Great video and I hope Yui is doing well. I'm not in the military, and respect to you and what you've done for your country (I'm from Canada but still appreciate), but I WAS a manager at a fastfood restaurant, and am a supervisor at my current job. I know nothing as important as your job, but the point I'm making is the management, especially at the fastfood job didn't care as much about the crew and tried to manage through forceful respect (they thought there was such a thing) and fear. Rarely did they show the crew kindness or compassion. It was always professional coldness for the most part. I always believed you need to manage through respect, kindness, firmness, and compassion. Show the crew you actually DO care about them, and for the most part they'll do the same for you. I ended up having crew that would literally work for free for me because they knew I was screwed when they left. They'd do it without my asking. My point is, that is how I see Su. She's ALWAYS looking out for her girls. Always checking up on them and always including them. She challenges them, and she insures they are happy and having fun. That is rare these days. She has my utmost respect. Always will I think.
Summer Sonic 2017. That wasn't Yui. That was Yui-bot. Her arm came unscrewed during the running part of the song and she had to tuck it into her belt, otherwise it would be flapping around all loose and shit .

Regarding Summer Sonic 2017, reading a live report by a Japanese fan at the time, it said that during the fight scene between Yui and Moa in the middle of IDZ, Yui's ear monitor fell off (or malfunctioned) and Yui had to hold it down with one hand. However, this seems to be speculation.
Hopefully, that's the case!

excellent content GMoon-Metal, there are a few videos, chronicling their fails on stage and focusing on how they handled it each time, it's a great testament to their professionalism and enduring adorableness. there is also a video of all the funny moments from the MG world tour, co-starring Avenger Riho and Momo in training, there has been some funny moments from this tour with Sabaton as well.oh and that part you asked about the graduation where the girls were showing their appreciation to Su was a surprise party, before the graduation, it;s a cute video as well.

When I saw the SummerSonic footage back then, I only had kind of an uneasy feel. Something seemed wrong. But not until months later, when Yui couldn't attend their "Legend XX" show because of her doctor's advice it really struck me! So I rewatched the SS2017 footage. She seemed kind of stiff in her movements and also somewhat... mentally absent. Not the usual Yui! But that arm-thing I don't really remember. Maybe it was cut out from the official footage.
This was from Summer Sonic, as others have mentioned, the box which is connected to her headset had lost the clip or something and was just dangeling and she was keeping it from falling with one arm while continuing to perform. The footage when it's best to see she might have something wrong is: Big Fox Festival, her last performance with Babymetal.

That may be true, but I've never seen that whole thing (BFF) besides from one or two clips on YT (that Megitsune version with the all girls crowd for instance). But I have seen the SummerSonic footage, which was broadcasted by WOWOW back then, at least three times. And it was the last live performance I'd seen until December 2017. I remember not to have noticed things in this regard when they toured with Korn (Serenity of Summer Tour, I believe) earlier in the same year.
When this came out in July (?) and I saw it for the first time, I thought she just might have had a bad day like all of us do now and then...

12:16 she liked Ariana Grande since she was at Nickelodeon, Victorious. But more importantly, when Ariana came to Japan she praised how she really likes Babymetal and both artists watched each others shows and met together to take a photo. Not surprisingly, people assume Yui liked Cannibal Corpse for the music, but what she was more interested in was the 'metal choreography' of the singer, his windmill headbanging is amazing (he also has a very wide neck, I don't know which came first 🙂 ). But it's great surprise when you hear about this about Yui.
Something else to take note of: when Ariana Grande performed at Manchester Arena in 2017 their was a bombing and Babymetal had performed their a few months before opening for RHCP. I'm certain such things felt close for Yui and Babymetal as well.

Watching this video really made me miss Yui, sometimes it feels like we can't express how much we miss her especially those of us who knew BABYMETAL as the original trio. Anyway with this video we clearly need a reaction to Su and Moa moments because we all love soulmates and I also hope there will be this kind of videos with Momoko. Thanks for the reaction.

The really good thing is now, nobody knows what Yui is doing now. Unlike the western media vultures, privacy is still respected in Japan. So what she does now is absolutely no business of ours, unless, of course , she comes back to the world of entertainment.
But whatever, we all wish her well and will never forget the impact she , Su and Moa , and now momoko, have had on the metal world.

Even though Yui was older by two weeks over Moa she always seemed like the youngest because of her personality. So it was always nice to see the bond that formed between the girls. And speaking of Moa I read in an interview where she said that they have secret plans for after the world tour ends, and that we should be looking forward to an announcement 🦊🤘

I have a theory that yes health issues were a part of her leaving, but perhaps she did something very normal, she got married and maybe has a kid now, I like to think thats what happen and she is happy and retired from being an Idol.
It's a theory I see no one ever put forward because most fans can't stop seeing her as a young girl who will one day make a come back with BM or as a solo.
Life moves on and she is a gir.. woman now, who hopefully is living her happiest life and I wish her well.

Well that's incredibly ignorant. My guess is you didn't even bother to watch the video, but instead, just commented on the fact that Yui is in the title and the thumbnail. To answer your question though, YES, plenty of fans talk about when members leave the group for YEARS (Van Halen vs Van Hagar, Roger Waters, Ozzy, Portnoy, etc to name a few). If you bothered to even watch the video, you'd have seen that it has nothing to do with wishing Yui was still in the group, but instead, simply shows a bond between 2 close friends that isn't shown very often. Get off your high horse and grow up dude. I think YOU need to move on about obsessing about people liking former members. Christ!
