Nate, I love it when you share bits of your personal life. In the midst of reporting all the sadness and atrocities, it’s nice to realize that there is much love and kindness in this world. I sense the strong bond, love and protection you have for your beautiful wife and children.

Two selfish and evil people tried to make Tylee and JJ disappear so that they could live out their lustful fantasy of power and self glory. But the children’s memorial service was viewed by tens of thousands all over the world that loved and honored them. The service was absolutely beautiful! Thank you, Larry and Kay and East Idaho News for making this possible! ❤
For those of you who seemingly look for something to complain about, Stop It. If you are just now coming into a forum that has been on this case from the beginning, before there was a beginning. There is, or at least has been reason certain things are included or mentioned when Nate is reporting on this case, us veterans to this case and the top-notch coverage from Nate/East Idaho New understand that. So please be kind and less authoritative considering, one you're late, and two you don't run things here. If you want the coverage from a person that is as real as it gets, which we know him to be because of him sharing his real life here and there, then you are at the right place. If you want cold and calculated and scripted opinions the option is out there.

My first knee jerk reaction was “Nate’s back! HOORAY!!!! So excited to see what he has to say”
But then, I remembered, he was out of town with his lovely wife to attend the wedding of his good friends and I suddenly thought “let’s just leave Nate alone and let him finish off his short time off with his partner.
Nate, take your time, enjoy your family, and we’ll see you when you’re back for realsies.

I was floored when I heard the texts read where we learned that Tammy and all five kids believed all of Chad's "teachings". My blood boiled. Before I had thought that Tammy was like that is his thing, and might have been disinterested, however that means that Tammy truly supported him. So Chad had a fully supportive spouse, she worked full time so he could write, etc. Tammy devoted 27+ years to this lazy, arrogant, con-man. I believe that Chad was looking for a new wife long before and that is why he started to say that Tammy was going to died early. When Lori came along and she idolized him and he thought she was "hot and loaded". I bet Chad was thinking that he could have both for awhile but when they had their "fight" and Lori was backing away Chad had a choice to make. So Tammy had to go. The more I hear during the trial the lower Chad sinks. I have heard that the guards call Chad a slug, that is disparaging to slugs.

I love your response. I’m in Australia but have been following this case since I saw a clip of Nate in Hawaii trying to get a straight answer from the Doomsday dummies. Tylee, JJ, Tammy and Charles are forever etched onto our hearts because of the relentless pursuit for truth and justice, starting off from Kaye’s wellness check on JJ which started the investigation, to the number of Law Enforcement people, specialists, family and friend witnesses who testified on the cases.
Hats off to all the reporters but especially Nate. I agree Cassie - ignore the haters Nate. Your audience appreciate you.

I just wanna take a moment to say CONGRATS COLBY! He’s gonna have a baby boy! How wonderful is that?!
I got hooked on this case because of Kay and Larry. At this point, I am pretty much in a parasocial relationship with them. I grew up with only one grandparent and she was kind of “meh” so Kay and Larry are the grandparents that I would have loved to have. I’m rooting for them to get justice for JJ, Tylee, Tammy and Charles.
I feel like they lost JJ but we all got them as pseudo grandparents.
They always give me hope for the world. Great people.
Nate your coverage of this case is always above and beyond what other news agency's coverage provide and why EIN have more live followers than Court TV and other top law and crime live feeds. Please know the majority of us want to hear about the other four Eaton's in your home and I hope you and Erica did see my comment the night y'all were in Texas and Erica came on that night....Really enjoyed her insight on the case.

Today was a beautiful, yet bittersweet day. The celebration of life was absolutely beautiful. They honored Tylee and JJ so beautifully. And then Colby announcing the gender of his baby.. I think that was a beautiful day for him to release that video. I just wish all of them so much happiness. I hope Larry and Kay really were able to find peace today at the celebration of life.

QUESTION: I have been watching both trials and Courtroom Insider since day one...I haven't seen anyone comment on how Lori told Melanie Gibb Kay was trying to steal her children and she was on the run (the phone call recording with Melanie), but then she talks with Melanie about how she is going to send her kids to Kay because she can't handle them anymore. This seems like a HUGE discrepancy. I don't remember anyone pointing this out. - Jennifer

It’s wild because it truly feels like I know the Woodcocks. Those people are so important to me. This felt so personal, like I truly know them. I’m so glad they got this celebration of life finally. Larry honored those kids so beautifully. His comments on his relationship with Tylee especially were touching. She seems so often forgotten about, but Larry and Kay never let her not be brought up. They never let her be forgotten in this.

I’ve followed this case for so long - since before you tracked them down in Hawaii. Feel like I have to keep on as I refer to it as my “jury duty.” You’ve been so professional but with your heart clearly invested in justice. Much respect for you and Annie Cushing and the kids’ families.
Chad would have an easy time deciding JJ was "dark" If JJ was off his meds and misbehaving because of the withdrawal. Lori is a truly horrible person!
And because he’d lost his dad, his sister and his service dog and been moved to a new place where his mum let her new boyfriend “discipline” him in a manner that resulted in JJ scratching Chads neck. That poor little child.
