I've played ukulele for 13 years so the transition to the smaller size bass felt perfect for my small hands, and now I can bring bass everywhere and practice hours on end easily! I'll never play as funky as Charles though 🥲

I used to think that modern day bass playing was grandstanding whatever happened to the simple bass playing with simple amp and plug in a base but I have to admit you have taken it to new levels phenomenal
It's amazing how so much amazingly beautiful, melodic and rhythmic music can be extracted from such a small instrument, which has such a small range of octaves. Charles, you are a consummate instrumentalist. I dream of your collaboration with El Estepario Siberiano. That would be amazing!
