    Thank you! Ours broke off while changing the brake pads. I was a bit freaked out but this makes me feel so much better that it'll be something we can fix at home.

    Wow this was amazingly helpful. If I can manage to do this myself, I'll save hundreds of dollars over what the dealership quoted me

    Okay i had to do this with 3 broken lugs fyi things they dont tell you use a long punch to remove broken studs if they dont come out easy #2 use a air impact make sure u got a big air tank so the impact has enough air to pull the new ones in it took me too long to do this job because i didnt have the right tools but between me getting my punch from work and a bigger air tank from my dad bam i got it not a bad job just have the right tools

    Basically the same for an 03 expedition?
    I'm just about to cut all the studs and nuts of the front wheels. I've only been able to get four loose.
    Tire shop no better luck.
    I need to do the brakes on it

    Could this be a reason why there is a clunking noise as well

      +Jimmie Mullikin We don't have a how-to video for your vehicle right now, but the basic steps in this video should be enough to do this task. Buy this part for your vehicle on 1AAuto.com: 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c

    I thought pounding on them is bad for the bearing. shouldn't they be pressed out?

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  Před 5 lety

      +bwow hwow It shouldn't take that much force to hit the stud out and in. If the stud is really seized then you'll have to press them out.

    broken studs are broken to completely off and can't get them out

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  Před 7 lety +2

      +ed williams Thank you for checking us out. If the studs are completely off and can't get them out you will need to drill them and attempt at re-threading the space. You may also attempt to weld a piece onto the top most point of the stud and try and remove it this way for extra room. 1aauto.com
