Poornima Krishnan dude you're so lucky .. being a girl it's difficult for me to find a gym partner :| I wish I too had a gym buddy :(
oh bc lge rho. :)
I am a mum of two. A Personal Trainer in a gym with being the only Female trainer as compared to my 10 male trainer colleagues. Winner of a Squat challenge , competing with 20 guys. I am proud of myself I chose this path. My children know the importance of good health. Ladies please hit the gym , you will realise importance of weight training only when you grow old. And you will look back and thank yourself . Good luck Ladies.
well said. thnx girl.
Your story inspired me.
Indian female here, I have been weight training for the past 3years now. I am a thin person with muscles in places where I want them to be, when Indian people look at me, they think I am weak and comment on how I should be eating properly (by their proper eating they mean I should stuff my myself with pakoras and curry). In reality though when we were moving houses I was lifting all our 55 heavy boxes from one room to the other (each boxes weighed around 25-35kgs approx some boxes were more than this). Speaking from experience, weight training makes you stronger and burns fat even when you are not training. However you can outrun a bad diet, you gotta control that.
Additionally I am also a runner and play hockey. It helps with these two too. Thanks Ranveer for this talk. India needs to get over the whole 'girls' weight training stigma.
Deb Mandal did you take protein supplies too?
Same for me. My family thinks I'm malnourishing myself when in reality I'm eating very nutritious food and can feel the increase in strength.
Deb Mandal thin is good.i love it.. just be healthy
Congratulations, I believe woman who want to do muscle training, does not only have to surpass their own mental resistance to "doing something uncomfortable" but also, the societal judgement that you are doing something you should not. It's an uphill battle, so again congratulations on your strong mind, the most important "muscle" :)
Omg me too I'm 17 and I also do strength training but not more than hiit( bodyweight) and cardio I can able to do 100 Burpees with 3 times rest in between and some ppl like hw cm?, don't do that it's not girl thing🙄. I literally run for hourse and I feel so good and strong after working out
Better than all those bloggers and people coming up, making weight loss videos with thousands of philosophies backed by no logics. Thank you for demonstrating all the basics in a clearer manner
You've got amazing public speaking skills.
Gaurangee Gattani If you call this amazing I am sure you don't have any idea about public speaking
Ankit Pandey Let the woman appreciate for God's sake
Ankit Pandey oh really ,than you go n make a video we will listen to that OK,, n see what you have got that's better than him
Ankit has a point, Ranveer is not comfortable at many points during his talk.
@@varun104 Uh, can you please elaborate?
His fashion sense has really evolved.. from hairstyle to clothes..
the best part is the way he says 'mumma'. So lovingly. ❤️

"Every single indian house needs a voice like that" TRUE AF
" educate a man, you educate a person. Educate a woman, you educate a generation." how it goes :)
Mother is the first teacher
I'm a girl but i don't agree sis they are equal.
ranveer is an educated man education millions through his video
If you say that she is a house wife and husband can't get enough time for children
@fantasticxyz Aur tumhara icon ek model ka pic hai . Ironical!
I accidentally clicked on this video, i guess I should really really thank my luck. Every single word holds so true in a woman's day to day life. I was doing functional training for past couple of years and then stopped it completely after I marriage, which has resulted in mood swings, incompleteness and lack of discipline. after watching this video , i so wanna wear my track pants and hit the gym, right away.
thank you !!!
Suhasini Kamlam that's not good at all. i got married some months ago and had to stop training midst moving and all the indian wedding drama but i started losing my confidence very fast and now I'm back on track. my body might not have changed much but my mind did.
Jia Talwar , i totally agree with you, i am planning to resume my Hiit training starting July. let's hope for the best.
Did you started your training? It's been more than 2 years since you commented! Are you still going to the gym?
He is a stellar champ. It is women who need to be fitter. Ranveer u have got an Infectious smile.
Actually both need to be fitter
Ur the youngest person to inspire me... keep it up Ranveer ❤
I am a 46 year old woman and started weight training 2 years back. I haven't been fitter in my life. I had the same incorrect notion that if I lift weights I will bulk up - that is such a myth. Haven't tried protein shakes yet but may try that too. However, I have not given up on my chocolates or other desserts as I have a sweet tooth. Yes a balanced diet is a must but if you have a good exercise regime, one doesn't need to give up on desserts but don't gorge on them :)
BCBharts tremendous 😍
So I've been going to MMA classes and it's only been a month or so, and I'm the only woman there. In the span of just one month I noticed changes in me. I was suffering from severe brain fog and overthinking, I couldn't look someone in the eye and talk to them. I had several issues; but I slowly realised the importance of discipline and started getting my act together. I started feeling better mentally and I'm still going on. I can't wait to see my final transformation. This video was very informative btw, I'll include more protein and iron. Thanks a lot ranveer
Great talk, great personality... loved it!! keep inspiring and informing us. Thanks!!

I loved the talk. So motivating
Thank you so much for this Ranveer! This is so inspiring. I agree with everything you said. I’ve been on and off fitness a lot these past 3 years. But I’ve noticed a definite change in my life. Working out (including strength training) has made me a lot happier in general, got me out of depression, and has taught me to set boundaries for things that aren’t good for me. I try to encourage everyone who’s close to me to start working out. And I’m so glad you’re reaching out to thousands of people who really need to learn all of this.
Joined gym recently ,breaking my limits , loving all th pain. Thanks for all the inspiration Ranveer 😊

Truly Inspirational.I watched this video in the early morning.Your message of Educating women's touched my heart. You have stated valid reasons about why women's should go to gym.And disclosed bitter truths about Indian diet. Thanks you so much for Enlightenment.🙂

Super glad to see ranveer doing a ted talk. I am a subscriber of beer biceps for sometime now and he is quite an inspiration. I am glad I am becoming the voice in my house.
I love your work. Keep up ranveer ..😊
He is so positive!
Quite motivating 👍👍
Completely agree with you! I am a 21 year old been going to the gym for about a year and a half and i love the benefits i am seeing. I probably havent acheived my fitness goals yet however the mental peace that comes with weight training and regular exercise is totally worth that one and a half hour i put in the gym. Also when you spoke about carbs being the center of an indian diet i could completely resonate as my family loves to eat a lot of carbs however i try my best to refrain and stick to my proteins. Cheers to @beerbiceps for this amazing talk! Much love :)
really inspiring
Inspiring talk!
awesome video... I always find myself being the only Indian woman in any gym in England.. going for barbell squats to glute kickbacks and much more. I've had people staring at me but it's all about the mindset where you just care about your fitness. I hope this video inspires all the Indian women out there to take up weight training... and like he said it's all about physical and mental health not just superficial looks!
Wonderful thoughts ✌
ur mom has one charming son. good to see such enthusiasm in a son for his mother & other women. bless u. keep it up. don't know about protein shakes though.
Your speech is too inspired me for workout goals
Excellent 👍 talk
lovely thoughts guy salute you
Stay blessed dear.❤️
This is amazing talk, you are doing amazing job by promoting fitness . This video much needed. In Indian meal we almost have very less protein and big carb, I really like the way you explain things. Now days everybody running after six pack but that not very important than fitness & keep your body healthy.
I have been listening to you for quite a long time and you have started amazing me 😘. This video was outstanding much needed for indian women. Even i used to play basketball in my school days as I started my college life i left almost all the physical activities that i used to do and then i always wondered what has happened to me I have become lazy other than that i have seen my will power go down my ambitions go down and i found myself on a tract which lead me to complete destruction of my life. But now as i have understood the importance of physical fitness I am trying my best to become more fit day by day. Thank you soo much for this video ❤️. And a simple thing i wanted to add "In a healthy body resides a healthy mind" even toppers need to be fit these days to top.
I hope you have started your journey to be a fitter version of you. All the best girl. Go for it
Awesome presentation 👍👍👍
Thankx for telling Ranveer!!!
You did it again dude. Very well portrayed. Good going Ranveer.
bro, good work...plz continue.... India need it, imagine we don't have to save for medicals and gov need not to worry about health of citizens....bcz its our job.
This is awesome! I live in Aus and as an aussie-indian- this applies to us too! I fixed my pcos with food and exercise and am totally with you! resistance training is everything!
U r really very inspiring ♥️
