      yeah like for 5 years, the most common voice they've heard is the clone's voices. How many months did Obi-wan probably go where 90% of the voices he heard were clones lol

    • @TheZamaron
      @TheZamaron Před 2 lety +5

      @@MrBrranch 3or 4 years, but yah, most Jedi would be familiar with the Clone's voices and faces by then. You'd have to be a young Jedi or not an active combatant and stuck at the Temple not to see or hear the Clones. Having identical soldiers can be a problem and a good thing, when making sure you don't have an infiltrator, all you need to do is see the trooper's face, if they don't look like a Clone, probably an enemy. On the reversal, if a Clone like Rex is trying to infiltrate the enemy, they might know how to recognize a Clone, especially during the Clone Wars.

    These deleted scenes are from Matthew Stover’s novelization. The thing with Bail entering alone is that the mind trick just made the guard really really agreeable with Bail and the Jedi. Like, his agreeableness went up to eleven, and he felt very good about what was happening.
    Of course, the novels can express the nuances of these scenes better than a movie can.

    I think the way to salvage that scene, is if Obi Wan somehow recognized the specific clone, from his force presence a specific mix of emotions and experiences he had gone through perhaps influencing his presence in the force, so obi wan addresses him by name despite the cloaked disguise. "Colonial Eskar, Jedi Robes are not the uniform of the Republic Army." or perhaps.... "Captain Janxe, those robes are not becoming of a clone. Why are you here?" During which the clones would have shown their faces with expressions of concernation and rage. As the robes drop and the sentence is finished they throw off the robes and open fire while the robes drift in the air.

    As funny as he scene with the robed Clones would have been, especially with Obi-wan going "You clones make terrible Jedi." It comes off as making the Clones seem like general idiots, or whoever thought of this idea and ordering them to do it as an idiot, it kind of flies in the face of EP 2 setting it up for the Clones to be more creative and effective then droids, Anyone with a little bit of common sense could tell it was a bad idea since the Clones fought with the Jedi for a couple years, so the Jedi would be familiar with their voices and faces. Now if they were normal Humans in disguise, then it would probably be a good idea, maybe while Clones hid in waiting to spring a trap. Overall a funny but stupid scene.
