  • Vol 03: 2018 Sleep Stories Collection - Volume 01
This over 6 hours of continuous back to back bedtime stories for grown ups (with black/dark screen and soothing British male voice to guide you to sleep) compilation is a collection of 14 of my 2018 sleep stories for grown ups (remastered).
I always recommend not listening to sleep meditations bedtime stories in CZcams playlists due to potential adverts that could play between the stories which may wake you up and any sleep story 'CZcams' introductions. That is why I make these compilations, so that you can listen to the sleep stories back to back uninterrupted with no adverts and no introductions, just back to back bedtime stories all night long.
Here are the titles and timestamps for the bedtime stories in this compilation:
    0:00:00 A Lesson in Harmony
    0:25:45 A Relaxing Break
    0:51:28 A Sculpture Insight
    1:15:54 A Student's Dream
    1:41:01 Calming the Dragons
    2:05:34 Connecting with Nature
2:30:51 Couple's 'Frozen in Time' Trip
2:54:31 Daddy and Daughter's Fishing Trip
3:18:37 Down the Prehistoric Rabbit Hole
3:41:12 Falling Asleep in a Rainforest
4:00:54 Fantasy Land: Time Waits for No Man
    4:34:08 Finding Wisdom
    4:58:38 Following the Spirit Animal
5:41:16 Girl on a Country Walk

I used to use an app called slumber and you were my favourite. I have just cancelled it (trying to save money 😢) plus there hadn’t been any new stories from you for ages 😢 and I was finding most new narrators on there, their voices were to annoying (sorry 🥺) I never even thought about looking on here, but you popped up as a suggestion, sooooo happy as there’s so many more stories ❤ literally every single night a listen to a story else I don’t sleep. Thank you so very much 💕💕

They decided around the end of 2019/early 2020 that they wanted to create all stories in house, so didn't want any more from me. I have over 300 stories on here, most are also on Spotify and other streaming and downloads services, also extra stories on Patreon that aren't on CZcams or streaming or downloads services. I have made a lot of all night compilations so that people don't have to worry about using playlists where ads may happen between videos. I have playlists for making it a bit easier to find different types of stories (like 1st person/3rd person, cat, dog, mountain, forest, woodland, beach, with SFX, by length of story, etc)...
I have always been happy to share my stories with apps like Slumber, but they haven't wanted anything I've created since 2020. The last stories they had of mine were from 2019.

This is one of my favorites. I have several and get most of the metaphors. Which one would you most recommend for dealing with grief ? 22:44

    Hey Mr. Jones?
I have a question for you.. How do you come up with so many imaginative, and great stories? Have you come up with all these stories yourself?
Ive been listening for years now, and im amazed everytime you come out with another original and wonderful story!

Until 2021 all of my stories were created during live sleep story creation sessions. How I develop stories hasn't changed, the difference is that I now use my sleep stories creation tool (which I've often shared here on this channel, as I have it freely available online) to replicate those engaging in the chat during livestreams.
My process is to generate a random list of about 40 words and then I treat these like random bits of information which have come out from a client during a therapy session, and like any psychological therapist you may work with, I then turn these random words and ideas into a therapeutic story to at least help with worry, anxiety and stress. I link to a video in all of my video descriptions for those who are curious how I do what I do, where I demonstrate doing this live during a training course I was teaching where I was teaching therapists how to integrate storytelling and metaphor use into their therapeutic practice. The demonstration is with someone I hadn't met before that day and had never worked with before.
When I started focusing this channel on sleep stories in 2019, I realised that the only way to come up with new stories every single week was to replicate the therapy room environment, so my first idea was to do the livestreams where the viewers who engage in the chat would then take on the role of client and I take on the role of therapist 'treating' that client. Sometimes this meant that my stories were therapeutic for other reasons than just stress, worry and anxiety as viewers would from time to time mention problems or challenges they were facing, like grief, addiction, confidence, weight issues, pain, etc., so I would address whatever other issues came out during the stream in those stories as well. But I'm not doing anything different to any other psychological therapist...
The troubles with the livestreams included, that I would get a lot of very aggressive abuse from my subscribers who were angry that I did this, saying they hated that I did livestreams, that I come across as a horrible, nasty person and a very boring person etc., and that if I didn't stop doing livestreams they would unsubscribe (the whole time I did this I lost increasingly more subscribers every week that I was going live), I had people tell me they hated the stories I made during livestreams and only liked the stories I made 'myself' and that this was why they wanted me to stop the livestreams. They would comment on the cleaned up and released versions of stories saying they 'like' them, as evidence of how this was what they wanted, without seeming to grasp that the story they 'like' was made during a livestream, it is just I clean the stories up for release and that every story they listened to on my channel was a livestream story because that is how I made every story. Another issue was that I did the livestreams late at night so that my UK audience, if they wanted, could fall asleep to the story being created live, and so that it was the afternoon or early evening in the US where most of my audience is, to hopefully maximise people being available to join me. But as years have gone on I struggled with all the very late nights where the streams would be perhaps 3 hours, sometimes more long and wouldn't end until gone midnight and it would be very disruptive of my evening when I would be tired and would want to go to bed but I have to focus on how I will have to stream.
So I stopped the streams, and just decided to use my sleep stories creation tool instead, which is based on a Hypnotherapy training tool I had created many years ago, which basically replicates clients profiles, problems and things which have come out during the therapy session, for therapists to practice therapy either alone, reading the profile and thinking how they would help that person, or in pairs, perhaps in practice groups or on training courses etc., where someone would roleplay being the client generated by the training tool.
