The message on the dash about the "I-Key system error" was because the hood was not on and latched. There is a switch on the latch mechanism that tells the computer the hood is open. I am fixing one of these cars now. Same damage. Your video was a great help. Thanks
Yes. The thing was unplugged.
Exactly the video I needed! Thank you!
That vacuum pump was a good investment.
It was actually gifted to me.
Just discovered your channel. I love your videos! The commentary is golden.
I wish real life was like this, when i see a problem life just fast forwards and the problem is fixed what a dream
It is like life. Fix car. Fast forward to today. Boom zoom.
Very good job thanks for taking the the time to do this video
I pissed my pants when you pulled off that condensor line hahahaha
It looked pretty empty from the outside ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I would ve done the same thing
@@alexthemechanic8110 You and me both Alex. LOL. I'll be chuckling over that for a while. Good for the OP for not editing it out. I had the same thing happen to me, trying to put "Great Stuff" foam into my leaky snow blower tire. Once I removed the hose from the Schrader valve, the stuff blew out all over me, and the garage. I think my son who witnessed it, is still laughing. :D
Hi. I hit a deer almost exactly as yours. After having it fixed the bumper doesn't line up & a brand new light doesn't work. The mechanic is telling me the new bumper is too "hard" to line up & he doesn't know why the light doesn't work. Do you have any suggestions?
Try harder?
You won a new sub. 👍🏻
Damn your core support just bolts out? I had to drill like 35 spot welds on a Honda accord
I love your videos, man. Very entertaining.
I just did the same. Deer hit the passenger side. I put trans line on b4 i put the radiator support back on. Lot easier then digging hand down thr.
LOL. I like your style. (Curious what part of Canada you're from). Thanks for posting this. My FIL has this car, with minor frt end damage, that I'll need to fix soon. Lots of good info here, and very entertaining. (Thumbs up)
Minnesota.
@@RustBeltAuto Wow. I didn't know there was a Minnesota Canada. Just like here in the US. :D
@@joequillun7790 I googled it. There isn't one. 😋
Excellent job, Rick. 👍
Was the deer okay or did it need to be taken into Rust Belt Veterinary?
The deer fought the Altima, and they both lost. One of them could not be repaired.
@@RustBeltAuto Just found this video after striking a deer with my 2014 and getting very similar damage. No hair found, but an inordinate amount of deer poop had to be removed. Thanks for the video, helped a lot.
I wish you went into how those bumper guides are installed. I’m having a hell of a time
That WTF moment...lol....betcha the whole engineering team that came up with that ,felt a glitch in the matrix.....disturbance in the force...lol..
Where are you located? I need a repair exactly like this on same exact vehicle.
I don't do for just anyone. This was my sisters car.
Was about to ask the same thing! Come save me! Haha
I just subscribed your channel. Thank you for the informative videos!
what was that black piece on the passenger side looked like a stair that lays on the core support and it’s missing on the other side too? i’m trying to figure out what that is to get the piece replaced
Go to nissan parts dept. They should be able to tell you, with a pretty picture.
Damn good job man
Installed everything and fan doenst work :(
5:32 That must have been a pretty LOUD bang. Im not sure if i would have been able to survive that one, you must be made out of steel.
I just got my 97 Honda Civic back together, I bought it wrecked for cheap and rebuilt it.
I was looking for one of those that were rust free, and not hacked up for a long time. No regrets finding an EX with working A/C.
@@RustBeltAuto My Civic is a DX but I have collected the parts for a "mini me" head swap along with forged internals, intake manifold, 70mm throttle body, 550 injectors, Walbro 255 fuel pump, ramshorn exhaust manifold, gt40-10 turbo, and more. I plan to make a streetable road course racing car out of it.
true hero
Wow that’s amazing
You see...way more interesting than changing pads and shocks. You have craftsmanship for bodyman. Now buy cheap hydraulic body straightener beam .A couple of bodywork tools and a cheap HVLP .Then buy totaled cars from copart or iaai and fix them . Then become rich RICH RIIIIIIIICH ! Collision repair is MAFIA !!
No thanks, I'm trying to quit.
On the number there is a square that pops out so you can attach a tow hook. I don’t see anything to attach mine to. Did this car have a threaded hole behind that square?
I didn't notice any tow hook on this car. Ask the owners manual. It will probably tell you to go fish.
This video would have been perfect except that you did not show the hardware. I cannot figure out what bolts go where because I ripped out my radiator and condenser and all of the associated stuff but i have no idea what bolts to use for the radiator etc
Match them up by thread length. You should have about 6 threads on every bolt. If they are too long, you could poke a hole in something.
2:46 Waisted opportunity for chicken sounds.
woohooo!! a win!
That bumper is impressively thick. My one on my 06 accord was thin pot metal. Bent in like two feet in a small crash and pulled my frame rails together
Can you help me find all the parts you replaced
You can start with car-part.com
Where are you located ? I need help with Nissan 🙏🏾
Outer space.
How reliable would you say the newer subaru models are? Ive been trying to decide between the Nissan Rogue and the forester and I’ve heard the Nissan cvt is complete trash even with proper maintenance.
Personally, I wouldn't buy either one of them.
@@RustBeltAuto Do you think the Toyota RAV4 would be a better option out of the class?
@@r2ba435 best investment in cars are Honda's, and Toyota's IMHO.
Hey man I live in Lawrenceville GA and was wondering if you live anywhere close if I could pay you to replace my bumper for me please I’m 19 and I suck at this no one taught me anything
@@930salina no one taught me anything either. Fake it till ya make it.
@RustBeltAuto thank you I needed some encouragement
Hey What was that part called you said you got from the Junk Yard
Pretty much everything i needed.
what’s the cost of damage i wonder?!
People's value system is all screwed up. I'm trying to forget. Either way, I loose. This is my sister's car.
Could you tell me what sensor is located between the fans?
I cannot.
Sorry it’s the sensor that sits behind radiator support above fans like right in the middle
@@SantiagoMunoz-pp5nq cannot remember
how did you reset the ikey system error
I bought a new Launch X431, because my Autel was too old. Did a system check, and found a fault code for an unplugged connector for the hood switch. My bad.
I thought you only did mechanical work?
I try to be creative sometimes.
There obviously is no charge in this AC condenser lol
next video you also stich up the deer that got hit 😜😬
oh shit the same thing happened to me in my garage. i got out for a minute
13mm don't seem right on a Nissan. I blame Renault.
I actually thought Nissan was Japanese, until I worked on this car.
@@RustBeltAuto The only Nissans I like anymore are Datsuns...
5:35 😂😂😂😂
oh thanks god i need this video is my car fixable!!??😫😫😭😭😭😭
Anything can be fixed. Except for people.
Look at you using battery tools!!!
It's the best one.
5:26 lol I did the same thing.
Nissan and renault
Sounds like a marriage made for divorce.
How funny
. HA.HA.HA, whatever makes ya $ & pays The bills. HA.HA.HA.HA.HA, hopefully cars owner filled The freezer with deer meat. HA.HA.HA.HA.HA
