I’m so confused, the deck seems all over the place. Walls but no wall payoff? Subpar ‘big’ creatures you’re trying to ramp into? Random fable of the mirror breakers?
Quite a strange brew... yes.
kinda feels like this deck was made by looking at axebane guardian, LCI, searching scryfall for o:defender f:m o:add and then adding fable in for value
If I were to adjust this list, I might sub out some of the questionable cards for Banefire as a big mana pay-off
Surprised there isn't any form of Assault Formation in the MB/SB. Would make the deck more versatile in its win conditions with only a few slots.
Can someone explain to me what purpose the walls play, other than for early game blockers and some ramp? There's no payoff for having walls... and seems like they're tempo killers...

Yeah, cursed totem really gives you the beatings if it sticks 17:07. When you're running a deck like this, it might be smart to check the top 8's of decks and see if they run it. Just after the first game and during your sideboarding. Cause it's 100% comin in. I'm brewing a deck that centers around an activated ability of a creature and it's totally caught in the crossfire of people sideboarding against decks like yawg. Walls are a fun archetype but modern is not the place where you just play dudes and let your opponent do whatever they want. You do indeed need to run interaction. You could even run a one-of payoff like Banefire. I think walls would work better in bant and you just run big, obnoxious cards like Elesh Norn. Maybe even Arcades instead of the goofy dinos. You have fat butts so maybe something like brotherhood's end which is a HUGE beating against a lot of decks.
