AK, you need to BEE there! LOL! Anyway, I was going up to Utopia Bagels a lot the past six years or so, on and off, when I lived in Port Washington and was closer to Queens.
Haven't been up there now in maybe four years. When I got tired of the lousy bagels near home, I would take a spin up here. I've met Scotty the owner and he's a very nice guy
indeed. I sat there on the wooden bench a few times telling him how much better Utopia was than any bagel store near home in Port. The only issue here is parking can be a bit dicey, at times,
though there's a lot out back, and the lines here can be really slow and outrageously slow service at times, but they often get huge breakfast and lunch crowds. I"ve seen
a few folks go Karen and lose their tempers for no reason here. But the food is really good, bagels are top-notch. The staff are generally friendly. Their baked goods are also
really fantastic. The kids love the assortment cookie characters, etc. I wish he would open a branch in Nassau in a central location.

Glad you finally got to have Utopia bagels! I have gotten my friends hooked on that place. Had a great sandwich the other day too . My friend got a fresh and warm rainbow bagel. Super nice workers and that line gets long but it moves !! Bee approved !

It's been said that all the Bagel's and Pizza's around NYC are because of the water,? that could very well be. the reservoir is upstate quite a ways up from what I understand. years ago there used to be a Bagel shop over in Mawah NJ on Rt 17 I used to stop at on my trips down that way.and their Bagels were out of this world also. And I had a friend on LI that used to bring me Bagels from there also. just can't beat a Bagel from the city area. thanks for treating this old man again and sharing. ECF

I'm a bagel nut! ,So I'm asking if the bagel was toasted or just room temperature? Because it sounded crisp and crunchy crust....I love bagels but usually have a hot egg & cheese sandwich or lox and cream cheese if on a sandwich... but it sure looked Good 😊

You actually use softeners in your bagels?. I know a bit about dough softeners and they are carcinogenic. So much so that they are illegal to use in the European Union. This also applies to bromated flour.

It is if you're in a reasonable driving distance or live in Queens. Otherwise it's a bit out of the way, but the food is really fantastic.
Wait till they find out that their bagels are $1.75 each. Customers are paying Manhattan prices in Queens.
@@Triple-G-r8ness Ridiculous criticism, because, the quality of the food and the bagels at Utopia are 100x better than most places in NYC or even Queens, or Bklyn, or LI. And their food is fresh all day long. You're paying a bit more for better quality. That's the way things are these days. I can go into 100 dollar pizza slice joints right now in Manhattan and get crap, old pizza, but if I pay a bit more and go to like, Johns of Bleecker, I get a quality pizza.

I've written praises for them on YT before, and I've never criticized the quality of their foods.
