      @@11DNA11 okay I checked out your boy on a video with his top 10 performances and he's outstanding he definitely got a lot of his influence from Bruce Dickinson for sure and he's got beautiful range and beautiful tone in his voice. But to say he's better than Rob Halford that just never existed and never will. That's just the fact even God who created all vocalists will tell you. But anyway you feel what you feel but it's just a feeling you got. Forget about it bro Rob Halford is second to none. But maybe I'll give you as good but as far as a vocal and delivering vocals on song after song and different character inflections that Rob Halford brings to the table he is unparalleled bro unparalleled but anyway it's like arguing about what color is better. The better than Rob Halford that just doesn't exist bro

      @@Frankcruzmusic Rob is great but when I think of the best all round metal vocalist Ronnie James Dio immediately springs to mind. Rob has the big falsetto but Ronnie has a bigger sounding voice and his voice sounds big and full throughout. I remember when Rob filled Ronnie's shoes at a Sabbath gig in the early 90s and you can tell he's not finding it easy and struggles in place. But still did a cracking job. I love them both but Ronnie is top metal singer for me.

      @saschaschneider6355 Pƙed 3 lety +24

      While I hate that KK split from them, especially because he left in anger - I love Richie Faulkner's playing and I think that his addition has given the band's sound a breathe of fresh air, just like the addition of Scott Travis before Painkiller. Richie has a more modern take on playing with influences that range from Michael Schenker over Randy Rhoads and Zakk Wylde to Kirk Hammett and that works pretty damn well.
      I've seen him on stage twice and he looks like he's been part of Priest the whole time, and he has a knack for interacting with the audience. He also seems like a normal, down to earth dude you could have a few cold ones after the show

    • @crimsonskies1445
      @crimsonskies1445 Pƙed 3 lety +6

      @@saschaschneider6355 I noticed my phone added the "T" in Richie's name and that pisses me off that it thinks it knows what I want to spell more than I do. Anyway, you're exactly right. The production, writing lyrically and musically makes this one of their best albums in my opinion. It still sounds like Judas Priest and totally different at the same time. I feel like Richie has sacrificed himself for the greater good which is the band and the fans. No drama, stays under the radar, very professional and gives full effort. I said to some others when Firepower was released that Richie deserved guitarist of the year. I've been following JP since around 1979 and I believe they formed around 1969 which is mind boggling. Judas Priest are indeed the "Metal God's".

So much emotion as well as a lot of fun. i’m grateful to BethRoars for this video. I saw Judas Priest in an indoor type stadium and my friends and I went up into the balcony, where are boyfriends hoped we be free of other guys hitting on us. Our boyfriends went to see how close they could get to the stage. I think we girls got the better experience. It was the most amazing thing I’ve ever heard. @FFVison Pƙed 3 lety +2

      I definitely agree, though in all fairness, this is a live performance. From what I understand the recordings for the Unleashed in the East got messed up somehow and they had to re-create some of it in the studio... A lot of people consider it kind of cheating for a live album to have the vocal performance re-created in the studio. That said, it is an amazing, dare I say legendary, performance.

But let me say this, he actually did the whole concert in one go in somebodys living room over the original tape of the rest of the band (because they still sounded good). So its definitely a performance that deserves recognition.

    It's interesting that you've mentioned that Rob often sounds like a guitar. I've been saying for a long time that there's a beautiful, bluesy, symbiosis between vocals and guitars in Judas Priest.
    I don't have a great musical ear/pitch but it seems to me that the guitars pick up up where Rob stops, note wise, and that he starts his vocals where the lead guitar stopped. The only other (rock) band where I've noticed that same thing is... Queen. Brian May and Freddie Mercury did go hand in hand in a similar fashion
