The Rainbow Serpent is an Aboriginal mythical sacred creature and creator of waterways and sacred sites. Alice springs and Uluru are considered the centre of Australia and a trip there should be on everyone's bucket list , a visit to Uluru and KataJuta it's sister site was the most sobering and spiritual feeling I've ever had in all my many travels you could really feel the silence .and you just knew you were walking where the indigenous people were walking 60,000 yrs before you .
Indigenous people believe that the Rainbow Serpent was a giant snake that made all of the rivers in Australia while crawling around.
There are remote pubs out in the middle of 'woop woop' in Australia with thousands and thousands of dollars pinned to the ceiling just to pay for fuel for the Royal flying doctor service! No one touches the money because no one knows if it is going to be them taking the next flight 🍻🇭🇲
The Ghan would be an amazing journey😍. It's pretty expensive though.

Royal flying doctor service or RFDS for short. About 80% government funded and the gap comes from donations and bequests. They cover the remote areas of the continent that do not have hospital or medical facilities near by. Each year they fly the distance to the moon and back around 35 times. They turned 95 years old recently. They released an informative birthday message here 👇

The Ghan didn't start till the 1980s. Before that, it was Adelaide to Alice Springs and back. Now it Darwin
They got it wrong. You could spend a fortnight easily at Darwin. Love the place. Consider the visits to all the places mentioned just a taster.
