- We have received a few requests to make another Vinyl Record Destruction video using a different heat source other than spray deodorant. This time we used a heat gun in the beginning and finished it off with fire. Hope you enjoy it.

I think this video brings a new meaning to the term "breaking a record".
xD
As a vinyl collector, this both horrified me and amused me.
Same here I love vinyl records and I'm very careful with them, I even adding a spring tracking force adjustment system to me little record player to reduce any chance of extra record wear and tear even though in the 1970s it was normal for record players to track at 5 to 6 grams without a whole lot of record wear or damage. Hilarious video though. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@notthatdigusted7468 yup. its also good they destroyed something that wasnt really a good thing
I'm same here. I love vinyl records and are very be carefull. I love the Japanese LP records the same for Cassette and CD's especially with Obi and Insert. This video horrified me too. I don't like smash video's or video's where people broke an very amused item. This give the collectors some rarity's between collect them.
I’ve recently got my hands on my own vinyls, and I agree it’s both scary but interesting.
They did it so you don't have to haha
9:24 i love how the record player said “Count the number of players.” And the record player changes the skit and music started playing music 🤣
Music can play music now!?
I still don’t understand but it’s funny

Maybe "Count the number of players you broke"?
This record was recorded in 1963 for pre school children (Just a bit of information)

9:07 is what trying to find a good radio station is like in Ohio. xD
true true
I'd say it applies for radio everywhere.
When you have a boombox then you change your song
In Rhode Island, every fucking radio station constantly plays these really annoying ads for the Kia dealership that sponsors them all.
Watch your mouths!
When I first watched this and I didn’t collect vinyl, I felt super sad watching this. But years later and I watch this as a vinyl collector, this crap is too funny lmao
As a vinyl enthusiast myself, I am still trying to get into vinyl records and turntables, It's not easy finding a turntable, because most turntables i've looked at are either broken, or not tested, or missing the needle cartridge. (the thing that moves back and forth slowly between the grooves of the vinyl disc.)

Why is this so depressing?
Because there's something nostalgic that's a reminder of a long gone innocence in kids records I guess.

I don't believe records of any content should be destroyed. They should be preserved forever, and taken care of. However, this video is pretty funny, I must admit.
but it's for science...like we wanna here how scratch or broken vinyl sound like
I mean, imagine a record like this isn't exactly sought after or rare. It isn't like an early serial number White Album.
Yeap, i'm a collector of records And record players, And don't like when People destroy them, but i must admit this was fun.
@@theantiquescollector2199 I agree I found a pile of records on the road side when they did the clean up still have then
@@fia993 That’s exactly what I’m here for. Warped/damaged records have such a unique and eerie sound which adds character imo. I love hearing what they sound like and how it changes the dynamics of a song. You can get some good results depending on what “methods of destruction” you use. Lol. It’s arguably the pinnacle of classic sound design; often through the destruction you can create something beautiful…

Audiophiles and vinyl collectors are weeping.
Meanwhile I, a lover of all things involving playing with audio (the wackier the methods the better) and hater of overly sappy music, am both amused and satisfied.
I cringe at vinyl collectors when they say "oh look, these guys ruined a record". Records are obsolete and so are you
A real audiophile would rejoice at this pos getting destroyed. Now if he destroyed a Marantz 2600 reciever I'd be pissed!!!

I'm still surprised that even thought they were destroying the thing, he still placed the stylus on the record carefully lol
The reason why the record faired better is because you both used a blow dryer, a lighter and a body spray can, while in the first vinyl record video you used just a different type of body spray and a propane torch.
its horrifying to see this, not funny at all, im glad you find it amusing
Yes, you forgot to blow the candles

It would be grand if they next time you do this you get a recording directly out from the turntable. I'd like to be able to take that audio and play with it.
I actually did directly record the audio from the turntable to my laptop in this video. I mixed it into the video during editing.

5:00 “let’s show these boys that we’re as smart as they are” really illustrates a difference in culture back then compared to now. There’s other quotes like that which show such a contrast with our language today. Just a small detail overall, but interesting nonetheless…
I love how they used "El Capitan March" by John Philip Sousa as the intro theme for this video.
3:34 I don't know why, but this is one of my favorite parts of the video.
This is all Junksen turntables are good for.
+TheComputerGuy⁹⁶ They are the finest in Chinese craftmanship. :)
Junksen: Guaranteed to last a lunchtime!
+colin stevens a Chinese takeaway lunchtime special
What are so bad about their turntables? I got one of their four-in-one stereo systems, it's served me great for over a year.
Its not that they won't serve their purpose. It's more that they won't get the best sound quality out of vinyl records and will often skip on some records. Both things are easily achieved with a good quality second hand turntable for little to no money if you're lucky to find one. Even some new turntables for around the same amount of money if they have a magnetic cartridge can extract way more detail out of records and track a lot lighter about half the weight on records. A win win situation. Records will sound better, more detail and will also last longer. Practically every turntable these days and most in the past were only fitted with Magnetic Cartridges. The cartridge however isn't the only factor. When you go up in quality of turntables. New or second hand there's better quality tonearms that are better constructed for better trackability of the record grooves. Once again less wear and tear. Less prone to damage. Better turntables can have the cartridge upgraded or replaced if the stylus is no longer available. Cheap turntables with ceramic cartridges often make CD's sound good which leads people to believe C.D's sound better which is quite the opposite. One of the biggest downfalls of Records was poor quality turntables that were put in all in one stereo's for convenience and not quality.
it's nice to see with how much torture a record can put up with until it finally gives in.
believe me, there are sellers who would still sell the record in VG condition ;)
+indyvinylz lol discogs
+indyvinylz Hey dude!
Need a good cleaning to get full sound but good DJ copy
hahahah I'm one of them
I died at the part where you guys were trying to put out the fire lmao
15:27 It reminds me of when I had a nightmare about a lit up Halloween pumpkin with a burning piece of cardboard instead of a tealight candle. In the beginning of this nightmare, I took the pumpkin out of the kitchen and put the burning cardboard out with the hose outside. After that, I cleaned the char out of the pumpkin, making sure the inside didn't rot from the water, and just to be safe, I used a fake battery candle in the pumpkin instead of using a tealight one at the end of that nightmare. When I woke up, I was relieved to be in our house that wasn't burnt down and find none of our items destroyed from any fire.
This is why I like having a vintage 8 track from 1976/1977. In the old days manufacturers knew how to build machines with quality now they just use the cheapest/ crappiest parts they can find in order to maximize profit.
7:12 I think the guys just summoned the most scariest and most evil demon overlord through a Jensen vinyl record player with a lot of that warp’n’spray action going on. 7:17 The demons are cheering at the guys for that! 💀

I actually like LP records but seriously I had tears rolling down my face with laughter from this video, great job guys on a crap records
1:16 it’s not gonna be The Beatles cause I like there music
9:12 LoL 😂🤪 sounds like changing TV channels or tuning radio stations!!
Someday, I'd love to see one of these cheap record players plugged straight into an electric dryer outlet (240 volts)
But European and Australian electronics use 240v anyway so they would just turn on normally
I mean completely bypass the little transformer that's inside it, or if it uses one of those adaptor plugs, just find a spare extension cord, cut it, and wire it PAST the point where the low voltage DC in is (to send the FULL amount of the voltage and amps into it. Not the puny 5 or 9 volts or whatever that goes into it from the adaptor plug. Now going to the extremes, I wonder what it would look like if it was just somehow hooked straight to a high voltage powerline?
@@Darknecros7 If it was hooked to a power line, it would explode into dust and flames
3:14 I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that
